Glycylglycine (glygly) and 40 related acetamide derivatives were synthesized and investigated by fast-atom bombardment mass spectrometry. The protonated molecules were mass selected and their collision-induced dissociations were analyzed by tandem mass spectrometry. The data obtained allow a fragmentation pattern to be established for these glygly analogues and permit detailed structural information on the main fragment ions to be ascertained.
