Description / Table of Contents: С книгой А.
Description / Table of Contents: In 1972 the readers got acquainted with the book by A. Vvedensky "In the Snows of the Far South". The author, a special correspondent for Pravda, spent more than a year in Antarctica, where, together with the participants of the Second Continental Antarctic Expedition, he shared the joys and hardships of the harsh life of polar explorers. The basis of the narrative about this ice epic laid down the journalist's notes, which he day after day kept in his diary. The second edition of the story is illustrated with photographs, taken from the archives of the Order of Lenin of the Arctic and Antarctic Research Institute. The book was designed by the famous artist I.P. Ruban, who together with the author visited this Antarctic expedition.
