    Beschreibung: In those Slavic languages where the vocative inflectional case endings are used inconsistently, a statistically increased occurrence of vocative’s endings can be observed with nouns having a diminutive or hypocoristic semantics. Assuming that is the ‘affective charge’ of some specific nouns which enhances the probability of vocative case forms, the present paper has two aims: 1. to verify empirically in three Slavic languages (Serbian, Polish, Bulgarian) whether the vocative case is better preserved with nouns having a derogatory semantics (insults and bad words), 2. to establish which are the rules governing their use.

    Beschreibung: The volume contains Andrea Trovesi’s linguistic writings, hitherto scattered in various journals and miscellanies, all characterized by a pragmatic approach. The first part collects studies on Slavic vocative conducted from a comparative-historical perspective ranging from Proto-Slavic to modern Slavic languages. These focus in particular on categorical transformations of the vocative, its relics, so-called ‘new vocatives,’ and pragmatic values developed in the various Slavic languages. The second part of the volume is devoted to modal meanings of the imperfect in a Slavic-Romance contrastive framework. The research privileges Bulgarian, but does not neglect the other Slavic languages of which it analyzes interesting residual peripheral aspects of such linguistic usage. Both lines of research presented here stand out for their originality and theoretical value considered from a point of view that leads from Slavic linguistics to the broader perspective of linguistics as a science of language.

    Beschreibung: Nyskaping er eit omgrep vi møter i mange samanhengar, og det er gjerne tett kopla til omgrepet innovasjon. Oftast er nyskaping omtalt i positive lada ordelag og som noko vi ønskjer å få til meir av. Men kva inneber nyskaping? Antologien løfter opp nokre spørsmål som er med å tydeleggjere kva nyskaping er. Kva skil nyskaping frå innovasjon? Kva er tilsikta og utilsikta konsekvensar av nyskapingsprosessar? Og kva skal til for å lukkast?. Krav til nyskaping kjem også til UH-sektoren, og dei ulike bidraga i antologien drøftar kva rolle UH-sektoren kan ha i nyskapinga. Nokre av kapitla tar fatt på denne debatten på eit prinsipielt nivå, gjennom å diskutere det opp mot UH-sektoren si rolle og mandatet til institusjonar innan høgare utdanning og forsking. Andre kapittel, med empiri i all hovudsak forankra i «fjordregionen», gjev viktige praktiske døme på korleis slike nyskapingsprosessar utfoldar seg i praksis. Fleire av kapitla diskuterer i større grad nyskapingar – altså produktet snarare enn prosessen. Diskusjonane frå kapitla i denne antologien syner at omgrepet nyskaping er mangfaldig. Eit viktig funn er at nyskapingsomgrepet ser ut til å representere noko anna og lettare handgripeleg for mange av aktørane enn det meir etablerte innovasjonsomgrepet. Det mogleggjer nye former for samhandling og innsikt som også er relevant langt utover regionen døma tek utgangspunkt i.

    Beschreibung: Besides its temporal semantics, the imperfect tense can express a wide range of modal meanings, which occur most typically in spoken varieties of language. The paper contrastively explores the modal uses of the imperfect tense in Italian and Bulgarian, a Romance and Slavic language respectively, and shows to what extent they are similar or diverge in the two languages. Although the basic notional configuration of the imperfect tense in Italian and Bulgarian seems to be exactly the same, occurrences of modal meanings are less frequent in Bulgarian than in Italian. Possible explanatory hypotheses suggest that the peculiarities of the tense system (dedicated future-in-the-past form; specific narrative mood), as well as the different syntactic rules governing the sequence of tenses in related sentences, put major constraints on the development of modal meanings of the imperfect tense in Bulgarian.

    Beschreibung: The Common Slavic *bogŭ ‘god’ displays an astonishingly rich derivation across Slavic languages, both numerically and semantically, with lexemes including almost all parts of speech: inflected (nouns, adjectives, verbs, pronouns) and not inflected (adverbs, connectives, prepositions). In this article the author pays special attention to the exclamations and other exclamation-related expressions containing this base word, as well as providing a description of the syntactic patterns from which such lexical units are generated and a brief analysis of the semantic processes (lexicalization, refunctionalization) from which they derive.

    Beschreibung: Nowadays poverty can be defined as a construct that can no longer be ascribed to the material scarcity of resources but to the lack of all available relational, social and cultural resources, that are an expression of a “suffering” territory. This fragility testifies to a problem of educational sustainability that requires an exit from the emergency logic of “buffer interventions” by activating social, training and professional networks, capable of responding to the educational needs expressed by the territory. For this reason, in the epistemic framework of Civil and Digital-Civil Pedagogy, the need emerges for new professional profiles capable of being “managers” of integrated territorial development, educators-planners of territorial educational services with a view to social sustainability and the educational human transition.

    Beschreibung: In 2020, Norway’s national curriculum for primary and secondary school eduction, known as Kunnskapsløftet, came into effect. The plan is marked by increased emphasis on education for sustainability, and a notable example of this is the inclusion of sustainable development as an interdisciplinary topic in most subjects in primary and secondary school. As a result, the focus on sustainabilty has also increased in teacher eduction programs, for preschool as well as primary and secondary school teachers. Furthermore, a number of research networks have been established to explore sustainability in the context of education, and new research and textbooks are being published on this topic. This anthology presents new research on how the subject of sustainability is being handled in schools and preschools today, to all those interested in the topic. Education for Sustainability. Experience and Research from Preschool, Primary and Secondary School can be read as a handbook in sustainable teacher and preschool teacher education, or as a collection of individual research articles that contribute to greater awareness of, focus on and commitment to education for sustainability.
    Beschreibung: I 2020 trådte den nye læreplanen, Kunnskapsløftet (LK 20) i kraft. Planen marker et taktskifte med økt satsing på utdanning for bærekraft. Et synlig uttrykk for dette er at bærekraftig utvikling skal inn som et tverrfaglig tema i de fleste fag i grunnskolen og i videregående skole. Som en følge av dette har fokuset på bærekraft økt både i lærerutdanningen og i barnehagelærerutdanningen. Det er i tillegg etablert en mengde forskningsnettverk som jobber med temaet bærekraft og utdanning, og forskning og nye lærebøker har blitt publisert om temaet. Denne boken presenterer ny forskning om hvordan det jobbes med temaet i skole og barnehage. Boken vil gi ny kunnskap til alle som er opptatt av temaet. Utdanning for bærekraft. Erfaing og forskning fra barnehage og skole kan leses både som en fagbok innrettet mot bærekraftutdanning for lærere og barnehagelærere, og som enkeltstående forskningsbidrag.     Beschreibung: This volume concerns the role of the Italian schools, the associations and their actors to counteract educational dispersion and encourage the inclusion of minors with a migratory background. The work is part of a collaboration project between Inapp (National Institute for Public Policy Analysis) and Aiig (Italian Association of Geography Teachers) aimed to map the “Analysis, training and territorial activities for preventing/countering the risks of educational dispersion of young people with a migratory background” (June 2022 - March 2023). This collaboration stems from a program agreement between Inapp and Ministry of Labor and Social Policies - General Directorate of Immigration, on “Citizen Integration Policies of Third Countries”. The first part, focused on theoretical aspects, develops the idea of a school as welcoming community, in which disciplines such as geography and tools such as digital teaching can be significant resources to draw on. Related to this, a specific focus on the socio-cultural development in the border and internal areas is underlined. The second part collects the empirical evidences emerging from some territorial laboratories and training courses organized by Inapp and Aiig in various Italian regions. These evidences represent the main results of a qualitative survey on risks of educational dropout of young people with a migratory background. A wealth of proposals together with successful and critical factors is unraveled. In the last section of the volume, these various and original practices are reported by teachers, school managers, and operators, representatives of voluntary organisations, associations and third sector. The idea was to carry out the research not on the actors of inclusion, but with them, giving voice to their experiences. It was a sort of an ideal journey from the north of Italy, where the presence of students with a migratory background is higher, to the south, considered the land of their arrival and transit.

    Beschreibung: The evolution of the complex school system, from its origins to school autonomy, explains the reason for the connotation of complexity, which it has acquired over time. The school as organization and as institution therefore is a complex system where leaders and managers become a single person, identified in the School Manager who acts on the basis of continuous improvement.     Beschreibung: The text highlights the lines of the research crossed by Paolo Federighi in his forty-year professional career within the University of Florence and the European institutions. We take the opportunity of this perusal to problematize the discipline, Adult Education, through a semantic and lexicographic analysis which aims to bring to light the history and theory of Adult Education from its beginnings in Italian society and culture in the period after the Second World War to date. The pedagogical-educational knowledge forming the building blocks of the discipline cannot be separated from scientific research and methodological results. The second part of the essay sets out to understand which research methodology can be more appropriate to respond to the needs of a constantly evolving and rapidly changing civil society. The third and fourth parts reflect on a human and scientific itinerary always pointed towards the lodestar of educational innovation and educational transformation.

    Beschreibung: Restructuring personal and vocational training by means of the harbinger of a not merely economistic idea of employability represents a fundamental and ineradicable task of educational research and pedagogical reflection. The most obvious effect of such a re-understanding of employability in its function as a pedagogical principle and catalyst of formation, because of its dimension of connaturality with the subjective educational trajectory, is that of reinterpreting transition processes not from a discontinuous perspective, but from a process perspective. Hence the need to think and rethink ordinal architectures and understand the training process according to a logic of continuity and chain in which each individual educational and didactic proposal converges and makes the principle of employability transparent in a generative and transformative way.

It reflects on the pedagogical and social value of an education that educates young people's active and conscious participation in the dynamics of contemporary society. The chapter adopts as a case study the modes of communication, including narrative, developed during the last two years deeply marked by the Covid19 pandemic. The approach of the work is essentially historical and the organization of the subject traditional: in the first part, after providing a brief genealogical framework of Sardinian and discussing the linguistic Romanization of the island, there is a section on historical phonetics that aims to account for the elements that, from this perspective, mainly contribute to the dialectal fragmentation of the Sardinian-speaking domain; this is followed by more essential hints on morphology. The second part of the work deals with the (external) history of the language, following the model made canonical by Max Leopold Wagner: it starts from the pre-Latin substratum and goes all the way to linguistic Italianization in relatively recent times, leaving room as well for sociolinguistic considerations.

    Beschreibung: According to the Maastricht Treaty, the responsibility for the organisation and content of education and training systems lies with the Member States. However, the Community contributes to the development of quality education and the European dimension of teaching by encouraging cooperation between Member States. Europeanisation of national education systems in the European Union is both the effect of a top-down political process, with different levels of governance, and the result of a bottom-up movement. The main agents are the teachers themselves: European mobility, both physical and virtual, improves their professional practice and helps to develop their sense of belonging to a European teaching and learning community. Despite the central role played by teachers in the integration of national education systems into the European Education Area, the profile and the key competencies of the ‘European teacher’ have not been defined in European Union policy documents.

    Beschreibung: Several associations in Italy are involved in pediatric disease and support for children and adolescents in conditions of medical complexity, with Tuscany boasting a territory particularly committed to social issues. This study aims to understand if currently in Tuscany there are associations engaged in promoting the sense of school belonging of the student with pathology. In order to achieve this objective, Tuscan associations have been mapped using five different mapping methods. Only one association was found through this mapping. The psychologist at the association was interviewed to understand the point of view of the association on this topic.

    Beschreibung: Adulthood, once defined as a goal, today, has increasingly blurred outlines. While many speak of "adultescenza" (adult-adolescent) to describe the situation of those who interpret their adulthood in adolescent terms, today, we have, in one way, less certainty, in another way, more possibilities. For example, social sciences assign adolescents the task of choosing, where reality confirms that the choices taken in adolescence are not "for life," but circumstantial. Adolescents, rather, discover; adults rediscover. Thus, in adulthood, a detachment from the family of origin can take place which in adolescence was thought inconceivable: freedom, autonomy and responsibility can finally be considered adult goals, because the family of origin sometimes still has to-be-thought-of.

    Beschreibung: In view of the increasing number of social enterprises in recent years, the European Commission (2020) has undertaken a mapping study (2014-2020) of social ecosystems in order to understand their evolution, activities, and professional profiles. In Italy, workers in social enterprises account for 53% (ISTAT 2020) of the majority of which consist of/include workers in the social and care services. It is specifically within these services that the «value of knowledge and skills that are not only specifically technical-professional but also strategic and transversal, cognitive and metacognitive, reflective» (Epifani 2003, 23) is becoming increasingly important, in line with the current indications of the European Skills Agenda (European Commission 2021). This phenomenon concerns even more particularly the intermediate functions, i.e. those support positions, which in part hold management and coordination functions (Abhervé and Dubois 2009). In light of this framework, this study investigates the figure of the personal services coordinator, i.e. a second-level professional who, working both in the educational and in the managerial, combines his actions between very different areas of competence.

    Beschreibung: Nowadays, scientific literacy is a key aspect for active citizenship and for making informed decisions regarding scientific issues of everyday life. However, the PISA 2018 data highlight the low scientific competence of the upper secondary school students, underlining the need to foster STEM teaching. In particular, the use of the so-called X-Reality for acquiring scientific skills and to increase interest in the discipline seem promising. During the first year of my PhD, I carried out a scoping review on STEM teaching with X-Reality in the context of secondary school. The main purpose was to draw a state-of-the-art regarding X-Reality use, focusing on potential, critical aspects and challenges. After the search and selection process, 10 articles were included in the analysis. The results showed the effectiveness of X-Reality in promoting the achievement of learning objectives, the interest in the discipline and the long-term retention of knowledge. These results will be the starting point for setting up the empirical part of the PhD project.

    Beschreibung: In light of the dramatic events which have been shocking Ukraine since November 2013, this work’s itinerary aims at functioning as a basis for the formulation of new contact points, for a dialogue between traditions and cultures which nowadays are again being shaken by the events of history. The author examines the self-identification paths of the literary phenomenon of Russian language in Ukraine. As known, Florence played a central role in the process of national linguistic unification and thanks to its international vocation the city has promoted the spread and knowledge of the Italian language and culture all over Europe and in the world.     Beschreibung: Ancient linguistic reflection in India was able to combine the analysis of Sanskrit with the awareness that the language through which this analysis is conducted (Sanskrit) is different from the object it examines. Although this language-tool finds its dimension in the artificial Sanskrit of the sütras - the aphorisms of Påñini's grammar - metalinguistic discourse is not restricted to specialized discourse: common speech abounds in metalinguistic notations. The present work focuses on the testimonies of the grammatical school of Pâininian origin, by trying to retrace the course by which metalanguage left the field of naive linguistics to become an object of the school.

    Beschreibung: Learning devices can be embedded into organizational contexts. Through them learning processes can be intentionally activated as to transform employees while working. Workplaces have their own learning potential due to their high level of structuring and regulation. Their learning potential transform organizational actors while they are in the productive actions. Identifying embedded learning processes helps in intercepting learning valencies of workplace experiences and observing learning actions that can lead to transformative processes. Results of related research activities are presented in the volume. They have been carried out in more than ten years of research implemented in three types of organisations: business, museum, prison. Research experiences are analysed by using a model of study that is based on the reconstruction of the learning processes as they are experienced by the actors considered. Moreover the model is based on the analysis of learning actions that are embedded into the productive and service provision processes. Factors and conditions are analysed as well through which organisations can act on employees transformation.

The volume, conceived and edited by Nicola Turi, while tracing the individual path of known and lesser-known authors, in relation to the main theme of the book, both Italian and not (from Leopardi to Zanzotto, from Gadda to Calvino, from Salsa to Dessí, from Luzi and Fenoglio to Leavitt, Eisner and Celestini), also stimulates and elaborates a profound reflection on the bewilderment and natural attraction of the artistic gesture (from time to time in the name of fierce irony, desperate incredulity, the elegiac testimony) for evil, pain, the martial distortion of the human, social and political context.

    Beschreibung: The keynote of the recent history of the faculty of educational science of Florence University is change. This has emerged in response to the demands for education expressed by a new knowledge society, spawned by the processes of globalisation, and the social need to foster interculturalism and the dialogue between diversities. In this new dimension of change, education becomes the framework for preparation, but also for re-integrating and updating life itineraries that are swift and precarious, veined with insecurity and disillusionment. Even in the new approach, the scientific and cultural benchmark continues to be a consistent adherence to the secular, historic-pedagogic and educational tradition represented by the masters of the "Florence School". Since its creation in 1996, the new faculty has staked forcefully on the centrality of training in relation to the traditional focus on the professionalism of primary and secondary school teachers, and on the new extra-scholastic training issues: the educational professions; pedagogic care; the social education of adults; the technologies of education and instruction; the philosophic, sociological, psychological and anthropological dimension of education; the broad sphere of hardship and marginalisation and the different faces of diversity.

    Beschreibung: Karel Teige was one of the leading theorists of the Czech avant-garde, and his activity is bound up with the most enriching cultural contributions made to the Czech Republic in the first half of the twentieth century. Proclaiming himself a Marxist, he was frequently at odds with Czech liberal-pragmatic thought. The emergence of European totalitarianism coincided with a major turning-point in his life when, towards the end of the 1930s, he had to come to terms with the Nazi invasion of his country and with the local version of Stalinism. After the War he was marginalised from cultural life and he died of a heart attack while being persecuted in a ferocious campaign of defamation by the Communist Party. The book offers a portrait of this protagonist of European culture and of the process of rediscovery that in the 1960s reintegrated his work and his thought into the extraordinary cultural revival that blossomed in the Prague Spring of 1968.

Relevant contributions are proposed on famous political figures (Teseo, Solone, Pericle and Cimone); on the great Athenian philosophers (in particular Socrates, the tradition of the Platonic Academy and of the Peripate); on the astrologer Metone and Epimenide, the purifier of Athens; but also on famous women (in particular, Aspasia). Two chapters deal with the historical situation of Athens at the time of the Diadochi and in the Roman age. Two other chapters deal with the reception of two specific plutarchic works during the Renaissance: Gloria degli Ateniesi (Glory of Athenians) e Detti degli Ateniesi (Sayings of the Athenians).

    Beschreibung: This research offers an integral analysis of the aesthetic thought of the director, playwright and art theorist Nikolaj Nikolaevic Evreinov. The work focuses on the analysis of the treaty The revelation of art, written in Paris in the 1930s, which represents the greatest testimony of the author's research in the aesthetic field. Henceforth, a connection is offered between the known aspects of Evreinov's theatrical thought, relating to the period of the avant-garde in Russia, and others, of a broader nature, which have long been precluded from being known. Through insights on the Russian theatrical history of the early 20th century, reflections touching textual criticism, the history of aesthetic thought and Russian criticism, the complex figure of an artist emerges against the background of the culture expressed by post-revolutionary Russian emigration. An artist who, as an intellectual, begins a dialogue with the Western European cultural tradition. This book thus intends to restore the visibility, as well as an exegetical and historiographic completeness, of Evreinov’s rich legacy as a writer, a philosopher and a critic.

    Beschreibung: Vasyl’ Stus's (1938-1985) poetry is one of the richest and most complex chapters in the literary history of late Soviet Ukraine. His poems are not only born of the author’s talent, but also of his erudition and deep cultural awareness; Stus’s poetry eloquently shows the presence of a significant Modernist trend in the literature of the Ukrainian underground during the Age of Economic stagnation. Stus's Modernism is the ideal evolution of the Ukrainian poetic culture of the first decades of the century, and develops thanks to an intense intertextual dialogue with the European literature. Stus’s reception of Russian and German poetry, in addition to becoming the model for nineteenth-century and early-twentieth-century Ukrainian poetry, proves fundamental to fully understand his work’s literary palimpsest, which this volume offers a comprehensive reading of, from the early stages to the maturity’s collections.

    Beschreibung: This volume contains Italian contributions to the XV Slavists’ International Congress (Minsk, 20-27 August 2013). In the wake of the best Italian Slavic tradition, the lecturers present a wide range of themes in different languages, ranging from the Cyril-Methodian question to the critical reflection on contemporary authors. Despite the diversity of disciplinary and methodological approaches - from paleography to textual analysis, from literary comparative studies to sociolinguistics - these contributions show that Italian Slavistic studies maintains their roots, critically developing previous studies and opening up new perspectives for research, while a new generation of scholars is born. As in the past, Italian studies on Slavistics are playing a significant role not only in Italy's cultural relations with the Slavic countries, but more generally on the perspective of a vast and complex process of integration of the various European cultures, which goes further beyond the borders of the European Union; a process in which the Slavic world, with its variety of languages and cultures, is one of the main actors.

    Beschreibung: This study deals with the first works by Don DeLillo, from Americana (1971) to Running Dog (1978), but it also extends its investigation horizon to his following works. The work deals specifically with the conception of time, and the way it is represented in the texts of the American author. By integrating the philosophy of time with narratology, the volume offers critical reflections aimed at identifying the type of poetics through which DeLillo articulates time in his work. In particular, the centrality of the perception of time in his novels and, more specifically, the concentration of the plots in certain moments, the oblique presence of the influence of Samuel Beckett's work in the representation of duration and the attention of the author to the double temporality of the cinematographic image and its hidden aesthetic potential are highlighted. Therefore, time becomes the conceptual context in which the textures of these texts, and the themes characterising them, find a resolution. In the representation of time, in the microscopic analysis and in the slow motion of some specific time segments, DeLillo's narrative traces the possibilities of an indefinable and mysterious perception of reality and history.

    Beschreibung: This work outlines the phenomenon of conversions to Catholicism which took place in Florence between the 17th and 18th century, and starts by reconstructing the history of the House of Catechumens. In the second half of the 17th century, thanks to a noblewoman from Florence’s bequest, the Institute offered hospitality to "infidels" of all origins, and the number of conversions increased considerably. Such liberality ended up causing a serious economic crisis, which the Lorraine Grand Dukes tried to solve in the 18th century by restricting the field of action to Tuscan subjects only. However, there was no lack of abuse and interference by clergymen, especially towards Jews.

    Beschreibung: The volume presents a selection of poems originally composed in German by Austrian-Italian author Benno Geiger and translated into Italian for the first time. This publication aims to make Geiger’s poetical work available to a broader audience and place it aside his better known writing on Art History. Geiger’s specific role as a mediator and bridge between two cultures makes his poetical work extremely significant, as well as considering his prolific activity as a literary translator to which he devoted himself throughout his life. The current edition provides bilingual parallel text, preceded by an introductory essay and a biographical profile of the author. The critical apparatus highlights both the intertextual references and the writer’s complex links with the Italian and German poetical traditions.

    Beschreibung: This book on Slavic matriarchy is the result of the studies and researches that Evel Gasparini carried out over the span of his lifetime. Intrigued by the possibility of a close link between the collective ownership of the land and the ancient agricultural-matriarchal substrate of Slav culture, Gasparini launched on the titanic enterprise of analysing the archaeological and historical sources of early Slavic civilisation. Basing himself on a concept of culture elaborated in the ethnological field, he brought to light certain contradictions in the application of the Indo-European paradigm to Slavic culture and identified a series of elements illustrating the matriarchal substrate. Exploiting an uncommon knowledge of cultural anthropology and profound linguistic competencies, in this book Gasparini maps out a complex panorama ranging from the economy to the social structure and from the religious traditions to music and dance. Out of print for some time, the book is now proposed in a new, more convenient form, complete with an appendix on Finns and Slavs – which was originally intended as another chapter in the book but was then left out – a detailed preface by Gasparini's disciple Remo Faccani, and a bibliography of the scholar's oeuvre edited by Donatella Possamai.

    Beschreibung: With the additional help of archival material, the first part of this volume reconstructs the history of the Institute for Eastern Europe (Ipeo), founded in Rome in 1921, whose activity was characterized by a remarkable editorial production closely connected to the birth and development of Italian Slavic Studies. Despite the inevitable coexistence with fascism and the submission, somehow, to a line of conduct which especially in the 1930s accompanied the regime’s policy, the Ipeo’s activity was marked above all by a sincere desire to spread knowledge of a world which was still quite unknown in the Italian context under many aspects. The Ipeo operated until the end of World War II, when the government funding and even the political and cultural assumptions which had favoured its birth ceased because of the changed geopolitical context, determined by the end of the conflict. The second part of the volume covers the General alphabetical catalogue of all Ipeo’s publications, accompanied by a Chronological catalogue and by an Index of authors, editors, translators and preface writers.

    Beschreibung: Ivan Aksenov is one of the most neglected figures of early 20th Century Russian literature. The few scholars who have noticed his great originality interpret his verses above all as an application of the principles of Cubist painting in poetry, in the light of the experiences of Mayakovsky &Co.; these investigations denote a poor knowledge of the author, who did not fail to declare the incompatibility between the two artistic media. This book is therefore the first systematic study of Aksenov's poetry, starting from a reflection on the philological state of the texts, to move on to the reconstruction of his aesthetic thought and to integral analyzes of poetic compositions. An unprecedented theory of art emerges from this - which develops ideas of Tolstoy, Vjaceslav Ivanov and Freud - and a production in verses characterized by daring metric innovations and a flow-of-consciousness poetics of the with a subtly humorous urbanism that recalls authors such as Apollinaire and Cendrars. It is thus intended to highlight the peculiarity of Aksenov, the only Russian poet from the Futurist area to have participated, even for a few months, in the cultural life of Paris in the 1910s and an advocate at home of themes and stylistic elements partly related to the French esprit nouveau.

This volume focuses on the image, as a representation of reality but also as a place from which the imagination can be exercised by evoking mental representations (the imaginary).     Beschreibung: The concept of the literary canon is one of the most debated and controversial in the western intellectual tradition. This book offers ten contributions by Italian scholars of Anglo-American culture addressing the way in which the concept of the literary canon holds out against areas traditionally considered as external or extraneous to it. The essays range over different topics: the etymological analysis of the term "canon"; the relations between canon and performativity; paraliterature – a universe populated by non-hierarchic genres; the relations between post-colonial literature and the canon; postmodern biofiction; studies on translation and finally gay and lesbian literature. The book ends with a meditation on the innovations wrought on the Anglo-American canon by the virtual world of Internet and with a reading proposal originating from a different area of literary studies. Taken as a whole, the intention of the book is to pave the way to democratisation and pluralism in literary studies, going beyond the limitations set by the traditional scale of values of the "western canon". It proposes a frequentation of the geographical and cultural borderlines and hence of the areas of resistance that such borderlines pose to the dominant conceptual hierarchies within and around us, enabling us to glimpse an original future for literature and for western culture in a broader sense.

    Beschreibung: This volume is the 16th of the PSI series (started by Girolamo Vitelli in 1912) and contains the edition of 79 texts written in Greek on papyri or other materials (wood, parchment), coming from Egypt and kept at the Papyrological Institute «G. Vitelli». There are both fragments of famous Ancient Greek authors (Homer, Hesiod, Herodotus, Thucydides, Xenophon, Isocrates, Demosthenes, Plutarch; the Septuagint, Cyril of Alexandria, the Physiologist), as well as fragments of unknown works: among others, a grammar text on the Ionian dialect and a doxographic fragment on Aristotelian philosophy. Then, there are texts of documentary nature: petitions, tax receipts, registers, reports, private letters, testimony of the daily life in Egypt during Roman and Byzantine times.

    Beschreibung: The volume, originating from the 5th Slavic Linguistics Meeting (Rome, 25-27 September 2014), reflects the state of the most recent research carried out in Italy in this discipline. It aims to continue the tradition already started at the end of the 1980s from the series Morphosyntactic problems of Slavic languages (Bologna 1988, 1990, 1991; Padua 1994, 1995), which has been recently renewed in the volumes published after the Meetings of Bergamo (2007), Padua (2008), Forlì (2010) and Milan (2014). This contribution testifies an expansion of interest beyond the boundaries of morphosyntax, towards other areas of theoretical and applied linguistics, such as pragmatics, semantics, language acquisition and sociolinguistics. Due to the variety of topics and methodologies used, the publication could interest not only those who carry out both theoretical and applied research in the field of Slavic languages, but also scholars in General linguistics.

Denne antologien belyser disse spørsmålene fra ulike vinkler og ulike fagtradisjoner. Internasjonalisering i lærerutdanningen dreier seg gjerne om internasjonal praksis, og mange lærerutdanningsinstitusjoner har drevet med praksis i det globale sør i ulike varianter gjennom mange år. Bidragene i antologien er alle skrevet av fagansatte ved norske lærerutdanninger, som kommer fra ulike fagfelt som engelsk, norsk, pedagogikk, sosiologi, antropologi og samfunnsgeografi. Dette illustreres ved bruk av forskjellig teoretisk tilnærming, empirisk materiale og ulike analyseteknikker. Alle bidragene har kvalitative tilnærminger, hvor leseren møter både lærerstudentenes stemmer og stemmene til samarbeidspartnere i sør. Kapitlene belyser praksis og utenlandssemestre i Zambia, Namibia, Tanzania og Sør-Afrika. Ett kapittel dreieseg om praksis i en flyktningleir. Antologien reiser også kritiske spørsmål omkring internasjonalisering og hvordan det også innebærer en risiko for nykolonialisme, og at studentene kan se verden gjennom et «turistblikk». Det argumenteres for hvordan dette kan unngås gjennom grundig forberedelse, oppfølging og etterarbeid. Dette er den første antologien som omhandler forskning på praksis og lengre opphold i det globale sør, og den henvender seg til en bred målgruppe: fra politikere og byråkrater som legger til rette for studentmobilitet i høyere utdanning, til forskere, profesjonsutdannere og studenter. For profesjonsutdanninger som i dag har praksis i sør, vil bidragene kunne gi viktig innsikt i forberedelse før, oppfølging underveis og refleksjoner i etterkant av praksisoppholdet. The experimental project arose from the need to respond to the need to guarantee the practicability of professional training courses at a time when, due to the pandemic, it was not possible to accommodate all students in schools. It was designed with the Regional School Office of Tuscany and resulted from the degree course constant commitment to the USR Tuscany to guarantee students; right to study and enhance the schools; willingness to accommodate trainees.

    Beschreibung: From March 16-19, 2016, the Young Romance Studies Forum on "Center and Periphery" took place at the Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg. In this volume, the dialectical concepts of center and periphery are examined from the perspectives of literary, linguistic, and cultural studies. Their relevance in Romania is examined in the individual contributions on the basis of geographical, spatial, historical, social, and linguistic aspects, in order to include different approaches and methods of analysis. In addition to a heterogeneous approach to the dimensions of the conceptual pair, the volume offers a structured presentation of the individual phenomena studied. The two thematic blocks focus, on the one hand, on diverse literary studies considerations of the dichotomy of the conceptual pair, and, on the other hand, on linguistic conceptions of center and periphery. Thus, new perspectives on both central and peripheral phenomena in Romance studies are opened up, on the one hand by presenting the range of (traditional) centers and peripheries, and on the other hand by referring to current discussions in the context of the two concepts.

It is divided into three parts, the first one being dedicated to the category of verbal aspect in the Slavic languages.     Beschreibung: Mare, fiume, ruscello. Acqua e musica nella cultura romantica (Sea, river, stream. Water and music in romantic culture) re-reads German literature between the 18th and 19th centuries, focusing on the figure of water, following the theoretical-methodological lines traced by Gaston Bachelard in his studies on material imagination, especially in his 1942 work L'eau et les rêves. The work investigates the elective affinities between liquid substance, poetic word and music in the romantic period. The rereading highlights the large number of "liquid-aquatic" metaphors in Franz Schubert's lieder works, with particular attention to the cycles Die Schöne Müllerin (1823) and Winterreise (1828). The study is conducted in an interdisciplinary perspective that extends, between literary and musical analysis, to the reading and listening of the Lieder.

    Beschreibung: The volume presents the edition of a copy of an anonymous Russian manuscript spelling book probably written by the famous scholar Yevfimiy Cudovsky, or by personalities close to him from the Muscovite background of the Philhellenes, in the 1680s. This spelling book represents a significant evidence of the level reached, on the eve of the great reforms introduced by Peter, by the Russian didactic literature intended for elementary education, heir to the tradition established by Ivan Fyodorov with the manual printed in Lviv in 1574. The edition is accompanied by a preface and a commentary that locates the spelling book in the Russian historical-cultural and literary context of the second half of the 17th century, particularly in relation to other books of this kind and grammar manuals circulating at the time.

    Beschreibung: In a complex, global, multicultural and post-modern society such as the contemporary one, the concepts of "democracy", citizenship "and" training” are undergoing a more urgent and necessary rethinking, which is tracing more and more constant new variations, contaminations and interconnections. On the one hand citizenship has become today active and participatory, as today it can be exercised. On the other hand, volunteering can be a response to the need for participation claimed by contemporary societies: the donation of blood, a particular declination of the traditional concept of gift, is seen as an opportunity to participate in community life and to exercise active and responsible citizenship. From this point of view, the subject is the main actor and protagonist of contemporary processes, and must be trained in understanding the complexity of the notion of citizenship.

    Beschreibung: In the period following the Second World War Giulio Preti was one of the leading exponents of Italian philosophy. A master of open critical thought, cultivated in the light of a rationalism that dialogued with, and integrated into his own philosophical model, many of the currents and stances of the global research scenario. Phenomenology, Marxism, pragmatism, neopositivism, transcendentalism and structuralism: in Preti all of these found an organic and original synthesis. Further, his particular brand of rationalist-critical thought touched on many aspects of philosophical knowledge: theoretical philosophy, the philosophy of science, that of language and that of art, from ethics to politics and even taking in the history of philosophy, offering authoritative contributions in every sphere. One hundred years after his birth, the University of Florence and the heir to the Faculty in which he lectured at length, the Faculty of Education, has decided to honour his memory with this anthology of studies, penned by former pupils and others and also by younger scholars, to once again focus the wealth of this thought and its, in many respects, current relevance. Even now, this particular brand of open, critical rationalism can offer a benchmark for addressing the new issues for philosophical reflection thrown up by modern society and culture.

    Beschreibung: The Greek koinè shows a double development in the crystallised Greek language (intended for literary, administrative and ecclesiastical uses) and the language of everyday use subject to innovations that would lead to the birth neo-Greek, which was never the official language for written documents. This situation determined the almost absolute lack of documents that allow us to reconstruct the evolution of the Greek language from the late age to the early Middle Ages. This work contributes to the reconstruction of this gap by analysing the Greek language of the the private letters written on papyrus, a documentary typology probably close to the spoken register. The analysis isolated four peculiar phenomena of the morphosyntactic evolution of the Greek (genitive-dative syncretism, disappearance of the infinitive, replacement of the perfect tense with equivalent periphrases and disposition of the clitics), offering a renewed picture.

    Beschreibung: Leo Tolstoy's works are not only masterpieces of world literature, but also mirrors of their time, of the socio-cultural transformations which took place in Tsarist Russia; it is from this perspective that, in this work, this great writer’s production is analysed. In particular, the author examines the evolution of the institution of marriage in the second half of the 19th century in Russia, starting from the reading of Family Happiness , Anna Karenina and The Kreutzer Sonata. If Family happiness preludes to the crisis of the arranged marriage, its implosion is beautifully described in Anna Karenina . Anna announces the definitive death of this institution when she defies the society of her time by not hiding her adultery and, on the contrary, by exhibiting it and trying to legitimize it.The Kreutzer Sonata, lastly, demonstrates the successful overcoming of the aristocratic marriage model, replaced by the bourgeois one.

    Beschreibung: The volume contains the transcription of the reports presented at the International Conference held in Florence on 14th and 15th June 2012: there are 15 original essays, written (upon request) by authoritative scholars of various Italian and foreign universities, on the important contributions made by their papyrus finds over more than a century to the knowledge of the lost works by Aeschylus and Sophocles, as well as on the value of the papyri for the constitution of the text of their preserved tragedies. The essays are equally divided between Aeschylus and Sophocles, and touch on all the major questions which the study of papyrology has raised for the philological and literary research on the two great tragedy writers. Both for the prestige of the authors and for the variety of the topics addressed, the volume offers an interesting and authoritative picture of the 'state of the art' of the studies in this regard, in light of the interrelationships between papyrology and Greek literature.

    Beschreibung: Gerasim Zelic (1752-1828) is one of the most emblematic figures of the Serbian cultural scene between the 18th and 19th century. He as an archimandrite of the Serbian Orthodox monastery of Krupa, a diplomat and a writer. From 1794 to 1811, Zelic held the position of Vicar-General of the Serbs in Dalmatia and, as such, was one of the main actors of the events related to the confessional controversy that stirred the region at the time. His autobiography, entitled Žitije and published in Budapest in 1823, also places him among the protagonists of a crucial period for the birth of the new Serbian literature. Following a multidisciplinary approach, the essays collected in the volume Gerasim Zelic e il suo tempo analyse Gerasim Zelic’s story, his involvement in the events related to the confessional controversy in Dalmatia and his literary activity, bringing the discussion to the era in which the Serbian archimandrite lived. Particular attention is paid to the context in which Zelic worked, namely the Balkan peninsula, as well as to the cultural history of the Serbs of Hungary between the 18th and 19th century.

    Beschreibung: This volume aims at investigating the reasons why, in Turkey, individual memory and construction of subjectivity (both intended in the broad sense) go beyond the boundaries of the individual in order to incorporate matters concerning national identity. The "writings on the self", be them confessions, memoirs, autobiographical or biographical novels, have been chosen as tools for the comprehension of the construction mechanisms of individual and collective memory. The issues related to the building of the modern Turkish nation, with its traumatic historical events and the approaches to the theme of memory by those who were excluded from the dominant and hegemonic narrative, constitute the core themes around which the authors' reflection develops.

    Beschreibung: Over the last years, the interest in teachers’ digital competence has become the object of increasing attention. The progressive digitalization of our societies led the European legislator, in 2006, to reformulate the framework of key competences, introducing digital competence among the new knowledge that school has to promote. Of course, both future and in-service teachers need to be prepared to favour students’ digital skills. This brought the European Commission to release in 2017 the DigCompEdu framework. In this chapter, we will first review some of the main conceptual models inspiring the reflection and research around teachers’ knowledge and digital skills. Then, we will focus on the DigComEdu framework, to illustrate its main areas of competences and the operational values.

    Beschreibung: Using the metaphor of the city-text, the volume investigates in a comparative perspective the representations of Istanbul in the works of two pairs of authors: Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar/Orhan Pamuk and Yaşar Kemal/Latife Tekin. The notions of memory and language provide the main hermeneutical cyphers in the analysis of each urban poetics, considered respectively as attempts of (re)writing and translation of mnesic and cultural text of the city in the literary space of high national culture. Moving from the centre to periphery, such an itinerary aims to highlight the intimate relationship between forms of aesthetical appropriation of urban space-time and (de)construction processes of Turkish national canon.

    Beschreibung: This book is a tribute to Giovanna Brogi Bercoff, Full Professor of History of Russian at the State University of Milan and a leading authority on Polish studies, mediaeval Russian literature and Ukrainian studies, both in Italy and abroad. Former Chairman of the Associazione Italiana degli Slavisti, she contributed to project Italian Slavic studies into an international dimension.     Beschreibung: Connettivi tedeschi e poeticità: l’attivazione dell’interprete tra forma e funzione. Studio teorico e analisi di un caso esemplare. Starting from Jakobson’s definition of poeticalness, the volume studies the mechanisms by which connectors, such as linguistic signs assigned to the connection between parts of speech, contribute to the poeticalness in a text, which is here intended as a textual peculiarity capable of activating the interpreter in the tout court language, but mainly in the literary text. The first two chapters of this volume offer an overview of the theoretical and methodological foundations that justify the choice to acquire the connectors as possible indicators of poeticalness, and also a preparatory introduction to the third chapter, where there is the description of the results from a study on the syntax and semantics of the connector in in a collection of German poetry texts from the first half of the 20th century.

    Beschreibung: This book outlines a short profile of Italy’s linguistic history, and discusses some current problems related to globalization, the values of the mother tongue and multilingualism, and the need to re-found the Italian and European linguistic policy on a new basis. Contemporary Italian is a particularly stratified cultural asset in which, alongside the many new elements, one can grasp the clear and precious signs of a very strong connection with the past. Today, in the European scene, Italy indeed stands out for its accentuated multilingualism and the long duration of its national language. On the one hand, the extraordinary animal and plant biodiversity in the country corresponds to an extraordinary cultural and linguistic diversity; on the other, the Italians feel that the language used by Dante, Petrarca and Boccaccio still belongs to them, and has fundamental traits coinciding with their own. Such richness is particularly appreciated abroad (as evidenced by the growing demand for Italian speakers in the world) and deserves to be better acknowledged by the younger generations. It also deserves to be protected and valued with appropriate tools, starting with a decisive rethinking of the country’s linguistic policy.

    Beschreibung: The chapter presents a case study based on the design, development, and testing of an interactive 360° video applied to the teaching of Sensory Analysis of Food at the University of Florence. The case study describes the design of 360° video storyboards and the creation of the video by the use of 360° cameras for reproducing a sensory laboratory environment. Video enrichment with Vivista, an educational software allowing lecturers to embed interaction points (e.g. quizzes, texts, images) within the 360° videos is also described. Different immersive modalities for the use of the videos with students in different contexts are described and discussed. The chapter concludes with a reflection on the opportunities that 360° videos may provide to university students for practice and experience.

    Beschreibung: Maximus the Greek (c.1470-1556), born Michael Trivolis, is a complex figure. As a copyist and Dominican novice, Orthodox monk and humanist, he stands at the crossroads of different worlds, cultures and creeds. His life path unwound between his besieged homeland, humanist Italy – in the Republics of Florence and Venice and in the Papal States – Mount Athos and the Moscow of Vasili III and Ivan IV. This path brought him exceptionally into contact with both Latin and vernacular humanism and Latin Christianity, with the Greek and Slavic Byzantine tradition, with Orthodoxy and Islam, in a cultural, linguistic and religious polyphony that is at once his hallmark and the key to his literary legacy. The subject of this book is Maximus the Greek’s testimony regarding the Western religious orders contained in the Terrible and Memorable Narration, and the Perfect Form of Monastic Life and the Letter on the Franciscans and the Dominicans. The comparison with documentary evidence, made here for the first time, demonstrates the reliability of these works, casting light on the author’s life and the sources, places and people involved in it.

    Beschreibung: In August 2021, a questionnaire was sent to all those who had participated in the presentation meetings of the Integrated Digital Direct Internship Experimental Project (TDDI), a questionnaire to identify the objectives achieved. The survey was sent to 99 schools, 238 subjects including teachers, trainees and headteachers and to 18 university tutors of the Course of Studies in Primary Education at the University of Florence. The survey obtained 186 responses and allowed an initial evaluation of the results in relation to the target actually involved and informed of the experimental path. The focus is to detect the level of satisfaction of the subjects actually involved and to highlight how much TDDI can meet the expectations of school managers, teachers, students.

    Beschreibung: The book offers an overview of homiletic literature in the Kievian period (XI-XIII century) through the figures of four preachers: the Metropolitan Nikifor I († 1121), Serapion Vladimirskij († 1275), Luka Židjata († 1059) and the hegumen Moisej († 1187). Adopting an approach that, on the one hand takes into consideration the methods recently applied to the study of Western and Byzantine mediaeval homiletics, and on the other recent studies addressing the rhetorical form and the use of citations, the author investigates the function of the Biblical and liturgical citations in the texts of the Slavic-Oriental homiletic tradition, proposing an interpretation in a key that is not merely rhetorical but also linked to pragmatic linguistics.

    Beschreibung: The subject of this work is the morphosyntactic analysis of a corpus of Latin documentary papers which were written in the centre and the north of the Italian peninsula between the 7th and the 8th century. The study focuses on the competition, in the nominal phrase, between synthetic and analytical encoding of the dependent name, which is the result of the grammaticalization process of the phrase starting by the preposition “de”, which in the Romance phase replaced the genitive case. This change is interpreted on a semantic basis, making use of the functional domain of possession. The volume also analyses nominal morphology which, although characterized by polymorphism and inconsistency, manifests phenomena such as the levelling of random oppositions and the reconstruction of inflectional paradigms, two inverse processes which find their cause in the principle of animacy.

    Beschreibung: What is the common aspect linking the studies of this volume, which take into account very different authors such as Conte, Palazzeschi, Zanzotto, Caproni, Rosselli, Biagini, some crespuscolar poets, Leopardi, Annovi, Giuliani, and even some twentieth-century translations of R.M. Rilke? They share the belief that the poetic word - which etymologically has “creative” powers - generates cognitive perspectives altering our perception of the world. Reading poetry does not have an effect confined to the page and to the moment, but affects our relationship with reality, changes it and enriches it in an often unsuspected and surprising way. In this collection, the authors try to bring out a sort of epistemology of poetry, in order to clarify how it can contribute to illuminating our experience of the world and of ourselves. The reader is then invited to look beyond the boundaries traditionally established by the various disciplines, in the direction of mutual contamination and openness to innovative and unprecedented suggestions.

    Beschreibung: Girolamo Bartolommei’s literary research is characterised by the narration of actions carried out by sacred and profane subjects and by the narration of ancient fabulae, re-interpreted according to the principle of moral utility. Girolamo Bartolommei dealt with different forms of lyrical, epic, dramaturgical and musical writing, recalling 'the benign readers' of his works to the ethical and social function of poetry. His work Didascalia cioè dottrina comica (“Caption, that is comic doctrine” printed in Florence in 1658 and reprinted in 1661), of which the critical edition is here introduced, is of particular interest for the peculiarity of the theoretical proposal. Such proposal is ascribable to the aesthetic of the academy theatre, aimed at demonstrating to young writers that only the 'honesty' and the decorum of a 'well-ordered comedy' could lift the fate of comic art from the degradation in which it had fallen. The author tries to convey this idea by proceeding from questions of general poetics up to the 'sketches of middle comedies' he composed himself.

    Beschreibung: Starting with the great authors of the past, autobiographical requests have been a distinctive feature of Scandinavian literatures. Today, after the modernist experiments of ego building, there is the affirmation of narrative and poetic works which question the boundary between autobiographical truth and fiction, further stimulating the lively, innovative and articulated debate on autobiography in Northern Europe, which has been in development since the 1980s. The 24 authors of the volume (Italian and Scandinavian scholars who are active in Italy or abroad, Scandinavian researchers and writers interested in Italy) illustrate the plurality and uses of autobiographical texts from the 16th century to current days, illuminate areas of a vast territory, investigate little studied texts or go back to questioning the classics.

    Beschreibung: The Italian contributions to the XIII International Congress of Slavists (Ljubljana, 15-21 August 2003) had a very limited circulation between the participants in the congress and the restricted circle of experts. Considering the high scientific value of the individual contributions, to which we continue to refer in the framework of Slavic literature, it was decided to publish these acts in the series "Library of Slavic Studies" also to celebrate the ten years of its existence. Faced with a consolidated tradition of studies in the philological and literary field, Italian Slavistics of the beginning of the millennium found itself facing new needs. On the one hand, a new generation of linguists has established themselves, who have developed a series of innovative research on Slavic languages, especially in the contrastive field. On the other hand, new research paths have developed in contemporary literature, especially in relation to the most recent historical circumstances which have seen profound cultural transformations in the Slavic countries themselves, with the need to reconstruct consolidated literary canons also on the basis of the literature of emigration. The same philological research has been able to question itself again on its role by taking up in a different form traditional issues such as the Cyril-Methodian question, the problem of biblical citations or the debate on the Latin Slavia and the Orthodox Slavia, as well as the more traditional ecdotic issues manifesting a new sensitivity starting from religious issues.     Beschreibung: As a sign, tangible heritage is the most visible trace of the past in our daily life. In constant dialectic with the intangible heritage, it constitutes a physical presence that forces us to take concrete awareness. Knowledge of texts and stories, which for Vitruvius is the high road for the design and construction of a building, is also fundamental in the processes of deconstruction, according to the various stages and different perceptions, through ages and customs, up to retrace the process that transformed it into 'heritage'. The lexicon and the terminology of cultural heritage are in this sense the most important vector of knowledge, enhancement and dissemination. The volume seeks to bring together those who study the language of heritage, from different countries and through different methodologies, and those involved in its management, in order to offer points of view and ideas on the narration and perception of tangible and intangible heritage, in mediation across eras, cultures and identities.

    Beschreibung: This book was born from an observation and a desire. The starting point is that the multilingual nature of Andrea Zanzotto's poetry becomes almost invisible by virtue of being evident in the eyes of its readers. The babelic hypersensitivity of the petèl’s poet is certainly not absent in critical studies, yet this work addresses it in a systematic way for the first time, by investigating on the multiple connections between poetic writing and languages. The desire that accompanied this reflection was to lead it with a "prismatic" gaze, crossing the poetry's multilingualism and the poet’s translation practice, and summoning the many voices of its translators around the Zanzottian multivocality. A series of unpublished documents in the appendix, and the interventions of poets like Cecchinel, Demarcq and Rueff, alongside those of the best European experts of Zanzotto, add a special significance to this work. Speech given on June 26, 2007 at the Locanda da Lino in Solighetto (TV, Italy) on the occasion of the presentation of the book by F. Carbognin, L’«altro spazio». Scienza, paesaggio, corpo nella poesia di Andrea Zanzotto (Nuova Editrice Magenta, 2007) and of issue no. 230 of «l’immaginazione» (year XXII, May 2007). Videotaped and included in the DVD Tribute to Andrea Zanzotto (Viviafilm production), which also includes speeches by Niva Lorenzini, Marco Antonio Bazzocchi and Silvana Tamiozzo Goldmann.

    Beschreibung: The commentary of Lettere e rime which Chiara Matraini (1515-1604) published in Venice with the editor Moretti in 1597, when she was 82, intends to provide an organic analysis of the composition, of the relationship between the genres, of the modalities of the “imitatio” and of the philosophical, social and cultural substrate acting as a background in her last chansonnier. The study also focuses on her stylistic changes over a period of forty years (1555-1597), from the adherence to Petrarch and Bembo’s canon to the end-of-the-century Mannerism, as well as on the counter-reformist twist characterizing a parallel writing of philosophical and devotional nature, which can be seen here between the lines. The investigation also takes the liber of Lettere e rime as a deliberately organic and structured whole in the meeting between the letters and the poems. By virtue of its ‘marginality’ as well, this shows a complex work, emerging together with the many afterthoughts which animated the long, almost century-long, life of the author from Lucca.

    Beschreibung: The twenty-three essays of this volume represent the contributions of the Italian delegation to the 16th International Congress of Slavic Studies, which took place in Belgrade in August 2018. The essays, written in Italian, English, Russian and Serbian, are divided into three sections: linguistics, philology and Slavic literatures. Just as the range of the touched topics is very wide, so is their time span, going from the prehistoric and protohistoric eras to the present day. The covered topics extend from the Proto-Slavic language to the writing, linguistic and literary traditions of the Slavic ecclesiastical civilization, from the linguistic and cultural relations between Italy and Russia to a particular 18th-century Illyrian dictionary. In the field of synchronic linguistics, the essays include: a study of dialectology and sociolinguistics in the borderland between Ukraine and Belarus; the ways to express the concept of completeness in Russian; the study of some concessive constructs of the Russian language using the methods of “constructionist grammar”, a particular aspect of the Russian and Bulgarian verbal systems; and finally, the different suffixes used in the formation of the aspectual pairs in the Resian dialect. In the literary field, the essays topics range from Gumilev and Chlebnikov to literature and ecology; from Armenian writers who write in Russian to the neo-Latin poem “The bison’s song” and to the humanistic and Renaissance reflections in modern Ukrainian literature; from an Italian scholar of Serbian literature in the first half of the 20th century to the image of the “strong woman” in the Serbian literature of the same time. Therefore, thanks to their variety, these essays offer a very concrete idea of the several existing currents within the research in Slavic Studies in Italy.
