    Description: In light of the dramatic events which have been shocking Ukraine since November 2013, this work’s itinerary aims at functioning as a basis for the formulation of new contact points, for a dialogue between traditions and cultures which nowadays are again being shaken by the events of history. The author examines the self-identification paths of the literary phenomenon of Russian language in Ukraine. With the help of interviews with important representatives of the Ukrainian Russian-speaking literary scene, made on the eve of the so-called 'Ukrainian crisis', the author shall closely observe the origins of the marginal nature of these 'post-Soviet hybrid narratives'.

    Description: How can we understand the philosophy of linguistics by taking the discipline’s actual theoretical pluralism as our starting point? By what criteria can grammatical research be assessed if we abandon a competitive model of theorising? Through an investigation of different areas of linguistics, this book brings to light certain hermeneutic properties of linguistic theorisation which are currently poorly understood and sometimes not even yet noticed. As a complement to these investigations, the book analyses a number of questions that arise in the “ideological” criticism of contemporary linguistics, examining the discipline’s theoretical activity in light of the socio-ideological realities on which it depends, sometimes unwittingly. Uniting two approaches to linguistics that are rarely brought into dialogue, the book opens up the possibility of an alternative understanding of the complexity of the particular textual objects that are grammatical theories.

    Description: The volume collects the proceedings of the conference “Firenze e la lingua italiana tra nazione ed Europa” (Florence and the Italian language between nation and Europe), which was held from on May 27 and 28 2004 in the Aula Magna of the University of Florence and the Accademia della Crusca. As known, Florence played a central role in the process of national linguistic unification and thanks to its international vocation the city has promoted the spread and knowledge of the Italian language and culture all over Europe and in the world. Beyond any celebratory enthusiasm, the conference has been an occasion of open discussion on the cultural identity of the city in the contemporary context, through a critical reflection on its history (in particular on some significant moments of the Florentine culture between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries) and on its linguistic primacy.

    Description: Ancient linguistic reflection in India was able to combine the analysis of Sanskrit with the awareness that the language through which this analysis is conducted (Sanskrit) is different from the object it examines. Although this language-tool finds its dimension in the artificial Sanskrit of the sütras - the aphorisms of Påñini's grammar - metalinguistic discourse is not restricted to specialized discourse: common speech abounds in metalinguistic notations. The present work focuses on the testimonies of the grammatical school of Pâininian origin, by trying to retrace the course by which metalanguage left the field of naive linguistics to become an object of the school.

    Description: This volume in homage to the academic and teaching work of Angelita Martínez aims to recognize the career trajectory of a tireless researcher. Her work is well-known in the most recognized spaces of dissemination of linguistics. In this school, Facultad de Humanidades y Ciencias de la Educación (FaHCE), she developed her teaching and research work, first from the Chair of Hispanic Philology, and then from the Chair of Linguistics. She currently leads the Center for Linguistic Studies and Research and the Master's Degree Program in Linguistics. Her work has allowed her to consolidate academic and personal connections both nationally and internationally, reflected in this compilation through a series of works by linguists belonging to different theoretical perspectives and geographic locations who share her interest in the workings of language.     Description: Le présent ouvrage reflète les préoccupations d’un universitaire chargé de longue date d’un cours d’histoire de la langue pour candidats à l’agrégation d’espagnol. On peut y voir, à ce titre, un recueil qui s’adresse tout particulièrement à des étudiants et notamment à ceux qui cherchent des réponses – ou des éléments de réponse – à quelques-unes des questions que posent la morphologie et la syntaxe de l’espagnol ancien (l’un des textes que doit commenter devant son jury un futur agrégé d’espagnol est en effet un classique de la langue ancienne). Cet ouvrage, cependant, ne se substitue pas à une grammaire historique. Il ne traite qu’un nombre limité de questions de morphosyntaxe espagnole – choisies parmi celles qu’un hispaniste a le plus de chances de devoir aborder dans le commentaire linguistique d’un texte ancien – et il vise avant tout à illustrer une certaine façon de décrire une langue. Par delà l’étude de quelques cas de motivation du signe linguistique, il vise à montrer ce que peut être une grammaire de l’espagnol lorsqu’on choisit d’accorder aux signifiants de cette langue une attention prioritaire.

But in what way and to what extent its literary (as well as theatrical, cinematographical, comic book...) representation has changed – in terms of tone and strategies, in the degree of deformation of the known and shared reality – in the space of a Century that has seen the transformation of war strategies, media coverage and consequently the collective imagination linked to conflicts? The volume, conceived and edited by Nicola Turi, while tracing the individual path of known and lesser-known authors, in relation to the main theme of the book, both Italian and not (from Leopardi to Zanzotto, from Gadda to Calvino, from Salsa to Dessí, from Luzi and Fenoglio to Leavitt, Eisner and Celestini), also stimulates and elaborates a profound reflection on the bewilderment and natural attraction of the artistic gesture (from time to time in the name of fierce irony, desperate incredulity, the elegiac testimony) for evil, pain, the martial distortion of the human, social and political context.

    Description: Rouen, Brest, Limoges, Aix-en-Provence, Toulouse..., c’est à une fuite vers le sud, une fuite en zigzag, que faisait penser récemment la carte des universités françaises dans lesquelles la recherche en linguistique hispanique avait donné lieu à des rencontres entre spécialistes. Contourné – évité ? – par l’ouest, Paris ne semblait pas avoir de place sur cette carte, il n’en va plus de même depuis les 8, 7 et 10 février 1996, c’est-à-dire depuis que s’est tenu à la Sorbonne le VIIe Colloque de Linguistique Hispanique. Venus pour l’occasion de presque toutes les universités françaises mais aussi de Belgique, d’Espagne et de Pologne, de nombreux chercheurs ont confronté leurs points de vue durant trois jours et ont apporté leur contribution à la connaissance des langues de la Péninsule ibérique. Ce sont ces points de vue que rassemble le présent volume. Ils éclairent certaines particularités – diachroniques ou synchroniques – du castillan, du portugais, du catalan et du galicien. Ils permettent de mieux comprendre ce que sont les structures phonétique, phonologique, morphologique, syntaxique, lexicologique et sémantique de ces langues. Ils illustrent les principales méthodes d’analyse que l’on emploie aujourd’hui dans les sciences du langage. Ils permettent en somme de prendre la mesure des progrès réalisés dans un domaine où le savoir est exploité non seulement à des fins pédagogiques – l’enseignement des langues – mais aussi – et de plus en plus – à des fins industrielles (il nourrit de nos jours les « industries » de ta langue).

    Description: L’anthropologie est toujours allée chercher dans la linguistique les instruments de son renouvellement. La philologie allemande est à l’origine de l’œuvre de Boas (1858-1942) et de son école ; Jacobson a participé au structuralisme. Ces deux types de linguistiques ont fourni des instruments d’analyse mais ont aussi puissamment contribué à définir des objets d’études, la culture comme un tout, chez le premier (contre l’évolutionnisme), les relations structurales pour les seconds. Actuellement, l’élaboration depuis une vingtaine d’années d’un nouveau type de linguistique - la pragmatique - entraîne nécessairement le développement d’une nouvelle anthropologie. Elle a tendance à examiner "leur façon, non leur sujet” selon l’expression de Montaigne, en ce sens que les modalités d’expression révèlent entre autres la qualité des informations ou le contexte dans lequel elles s’expriment. Ainsi quand vous rencontrez les mots, de catégorie préconstruite, d’acte de langage, de discours naturel, de locuteur, de contexte, d’attitude textuelle, de stratégie rhétorique, d’ethnologie indigène... vous vous trouvez devant des préoccupations qui peuvent se situer sous l’étiquette d’ethnopragmatique. Chacune de ces expressions s’opposent à d’autres (locuteur : informateur, catégorie préconstruite : catégorie indigène, ...) mais surtout indiquent l’inscription dans une anthropologie d’un certain type et la présence de certaines préoccupations : le détail de la parole Indigène joue un rôle central et ne se déploie et ne s’analyse qu’en interaction avec l’enquêteur. Ce livre cherche à préciser les démarches utilisées par l’ethnopragmatique, les courants et les auteurs dont elle se réclame et propose quelques tentatives d’applications.

    Description: Karel Teige was one of the leading theorists of the Czech avant-garde, and his activity is bound up with the most enriching cultural contributions made to the Czech Republic in the first half of the twentieth century. Proclaiming himself a Marxist, he was frequently at odds with Czech liberal-pragmatic thought. The emergence of European totalitarianism coincided with a major turning-point in his life when, towards the end of the 1930s, he had to come to terms with the Nazi invasion of his country and with the local version of Stalinism. After the War he was marginalised from cultural life and he died of a heart attack while being persecuted in a ferocious campaign of defamation by the Communist Party. The book offers a portrait of this protagonist of European culture and of the process of rediscovery that in the 1960s reintegrated his work and his thought into the extraordinary cultural revival that blossomed in the Prague Spring of 1968.

    Description: The volume contains the text of nineteen contributions, elaborated by professors of eight European universities, linked together in the “Réseau Thématique Plutarque” (Madrid, Málaga, Coimbra, Paris X, Leuven, Groningen, Salerno, Florence) and intends to comment on the news provided from Plutarch on the life and activities, the importance and influence of the great figures of ancient Athens. Relevant contributions are proposed on famous political figures (Teseo, Solone, Pericle and Cimone); on the great Athenian philosophers (in particular Socrates, the tradition of the Platonic Academy and of the Peripate); on the astrologer Metone and Epimenide, the purifier of Athens; but also on famous women (in particular, Aspasia).     Description: This research offers an integral analysis of the aesthetic thought of the director, playwright and art theorist Nikolaj Nikolaevic Evreinov. The work focuses on the analysis of the treaty The revelation of art, written in Paris in the 1930s, which represents the greatest testimony of the author's research in the aesthetic field. Henceforth, a connection is offered between the known aspects of Evreinov's theatrical thought, relating to the period of the avant-garde in Russia, and others, of a broader nature, which have long been precluded from being known. Through insights on the Russian theatrical history of the early 20th century, reflections touching textual criticism, the history of aesthetic thought and Russian criticism, the complex figure of an artist emerges against the background of the culture expressed by post-revolutionary Russian emigration. An artist who, as an intellectual, begins a dialogue with the Western European cultural tradition. This book thus intends to restore the visibility, as well as an exegetical and historiographic completeness, of Evreinov’s rich legacy as a writer, a philosopher and a critic.

    Description: Title in English: Error Analysis in the Interlanguage of Czech and Slovak University Students of Spanish as a Second Language The monograph studies the written interlanguage in Spanish of a group of Czech and Slovak university students, focusing on analysis of their errors. The main purpose of this study is to find a pattern in these errors and to understand their evolution from the beginning to the end of the three-year bachelor program of Spanish Language and Literature at Masaryk University in Brno (Czech Republic). For this objective we have analyzed a corpus of written texts compiled from 2014 to 2017 and we have classified all the lexical and morhosyntactical errors according to specific criteria, creating a “grammar of errors” on its own. The conclusions indicate that there are no significant differences between errors according to the linguistic groups. This is due to the fact that the majority of these errors show universal learning strategies that do not apply to just one linguistic group. However, the results also show a considerable influence of Czech and Slovak, especially in the lexical errors that occur due to interferences, faux amis and loans. Furthermore, Slovak students have a higher percentage of errors compared to Czech students at the end of their degree, mainly because the essays are longer.     Description: Vasyl’ Stus's (1938-1985) poetry is one of the richest and most complex chapters in the literary history of late Soviet Ukraine. His poems are not only born of the author’s talent, but also of his erudition and deep cultural awareness; Stus’s poetry eloquently shows the presence of a significant Modernist trend in the literature of the Ukrainian underground during the Age of Economic stagnation. Stus's Modernism is the ideal evolution of the Ukrainian poetic culture of the first decades of the century, and develops thanks to an intense intertextual dialogue with the European literature. Stus’s reception of Russian and German poetry, in addition to becoming the model for nineteenth-century and early-twentieth-century Ukrainian poetry, proves fundamental to fully understand his work’s literary palimpsest, which this volume offers a comprehensive reading of, from the early stages to the maturity’s collections.

    Description: This volume contains Italian contributions to the XV Slavists’ International Congress (Minsk, 20-27 August 2013). In the wake of the best Italian Slavic tradition, the lecturers present a wide range of themes in different languages, ranging from the Cyril-Methodian question to the critical reflection on contemporary authors. Despite the diversity of disciplinary and methodological approaches - from paleography to textual analysis, from literary comparative studies to sociolinguistics - these contributions show that Italian Slavistic studies maintains their roots, critically developing previous studies and opening up new perspectives for research, while a new generation of scholars is born. As in the past, Italian studies on Slavistics are playing a significant role not only in Italy's cultural relations with the Slavic countries, but more generally on the perspective of a vast and complex process of integration of the various European cultures, which goes further beyond the borders of the European Union; a process in which the Slavic world, with its variety of languages and cultures, is one of the main actors.

    Description: Les Dialectes indo-européens d’A. Meillet remontent à 1908. Il nous a semblé utile qu’un ouvrage français dressât vers la fin de ce siècle un état de la question sur ces dialectes, dont certains n’étaient pas encore connus de Meillet, tandis que la problématique de ceux qu’il traite a été renouvelée. Notre titre, Langues indo-européennes, implique qu’il y a des absents : le latin et le grec, que nous supposions mieux connus du public cultivé non spécialiste que les autres langues : tokharien, indo-iranien, langues anatoliennes comme le hittite, arménien, thrace, albanais, balte et slave, germanique, italique, celtique. Chacune de ces langues fait l’objet d’un chapitre. Le livre, dû à d’éminents spécialistes internationaux, traite aussi de problèmes plus généraux : la méthode comparative, la reconstruction culturelle, les ethniques comme le nom des Aryens. Il comporte, enfin, un chapitre sur l’étrusque, non apparenté jusqu’à plus ample informé aux langues indo-européennes, mais dont la comparaison typologique avec ces dernières pose d’intéressants problèmes.

Il est original en ce qu’il propose une description intégrée du lexique, de la sémantique et de la syntaxe, prise en charge par la notion d’emploi. Un emploi est défini par un prédicat (du premier ou du second ordre) et l’ensemble des propriétés qui le caractérisent (schéma d’arguments, actualisation, transformations). Comme les mots n’ont de sens que dans leur environnement, l’unité minimale d’analyse adoptée ici est la phrase et non le mot. Analyser une langue, c’est décrire tous les emplois qui la constituent. Les descriptions ainsi obtenues peuvent être consignées dans un dictionnaire électronique, dont la structuration repose sur des paramètres précis et constants, ce qui permet une reconnaissance automatique des phrases d’un texte. Ce livre présente d’autres particularités : l’analyse des phrases complexes avec les mêmes outils que pour la phrase simple, la description des arguments à l’aide de classes d’objets, la conjugaison des prédicats nominaux au moyen de verbes supports, une description originale des subordonnées circonstancielles, l’importance accordée au figement, le souci de complétude des descriptions. Cet ouvrage est destiné aux étudiants de langue et de linguistique ainsi qu’aux spécialistes du traitement automatique.

    Description: This study deals with the first works by Don DeLillo, from Americana (1971) to Running Dog (1978), but it also extends its investigation horizon to his following works. The work deals specifically with the conception of time, and the way it is represented in the texts of the American author. By integrating the philosophy of time with narratology, the volume offers critical reflections aimed at identifying the type of poetics through which DeLillo articulates time in his work. In particular, the centrality of the perception of time in his novels and, more specifically, the concentration of the plots in certain moments, the oblique presence of the influence of Samuel Beckett's work in the representation of duration and the attention of the author to the double temporality of the cinematographic image and its hidden aesthetic potential are highlighted. Therefore, time becomes the conceptual context in which the textures of these texts, and the themes characterising them, find a resolution. In the representation of time, in the microscopic analysis and in the slow motion of some specific time segments, DeLillo's narrative traces the possibilities of an indefinable and mysterious perception of reality and history.

    Description: This work outlines the phenomenon of conversions to Catholicism which took place in Florence between the 17th and 18th century, and starts by reconstructing the history of the House of Catechumens. In the second half of the 17th century, thanks to a noblewoman from Florence’s bequest, the Institute offered hospitality to "infidels" of all origins, and the number of conversions increased considerably. Such liberality ended up causing a serious economic crisis, which the Lorraine Grand Dukes tried to solve in the 18th century by restricting the field of action to Tuscan subjects only. However, there was no lack of abuse and interference by clergymen, especially towards Jews.

    Description: This book on Slavic matriarchy is the result of the studies and researches that Evel Gasparini carried out over the span of his lifetime. Intrigued by the possibility of a close link between the collective ownership of the land and the ancient agricultural-matriarchal substrate of Slav culture, Gasparini launched on the titanic enterprise of analysing the archaeological and historical sources of early Slavic civilisation. Basing himself on a concept of culture elaborated in the ethnological field, he brought to light certain contradictions in the application of the Indo-European paradigm to Slavic culture and identified a series of elements illustrating the matriarchal substrate. Exploiting an uncommon knowledge of cultural anthropology and profound linguistic competencies, in this book Gasparini maps out a complex panorama ranging from the economy to the social structure and from the religious traditions to music and dance. Out of print for some time, the book is now proposed in a new, more convenient form, complete with an appendix on Finns and Slavs – which was originally intended as another chapter in the book but was then left out – a detailed preface by Gasparini's disciple Remo Faccani, and a bibliography of the scholar's oeuvre edited by Donatella Possamai.

    Description: La tradition avait rangé dans un tiroir à part les infinitifs dits substantivés et les adjectifs de même titre, les interjections et les mentions, et bien d’autres objets, dont l’identification catégorielle posait problème : dans le bleu du ciel bleu est-il un adjectif, est-il un nom ? Questionnement parallèle possible sur gouverner dans le gouverner autrement, ou sur diable dans Diable ! On remet ces données sur le métier avec l’objectif de rendre à la syntaxe et à la morphologie dérivationnelle ce qui leur appartient, même si la coupure est invisible. En effet, un terme X qui occupe une position Y demeure-t-il un X ou devient-il un Y ? S’il conserve son identité de X, acquiert-il certaines propriétés du fait de sa position ? S’il devient un Y, le devient-il momentanément, le temps de l’emploi ? Si la nouvelle appartenance catégorielle est stable, comment la morphologie rend-elle compte de ces homonymes ? Quelle est la propriété d’occupabilité de telle position, dans telle langue ? La remise en cause du caractère endocentrique des groupes syntagmatiques, l’identification du procédé non-affixal de conversion dans la morphologie du français, tels sont les principaux résultats, ce qui a conduit à chercher à comprendre pourquoi le phénomène de dérivés non-affixés avait été soit ignoré, soit confondu avec d’autres dans le fourre- tout de la "dérivation impropre". Ainsi, outre des propositions d’analyse de données du français, ce travail comporte un essai de démythologisation d’une notion grammaticale traditionnelle.

    Description: With the additional help of archival material, the first part of this volume reconstructs the history of the Institute for Eastern Europe (Ipeo), founded in Rome in 1921, whose activity was characterized by a remarkable editorial production closely connected to the birth and development of Italian Slavic Studies. Despite the inevitable coexistence with fascism and the submission, somehow, to a line of conduct which especially in the 1930s accompanied the regime’s policy, the Ipeo’s activity was marked above all by a sincere desire to spread knowledge of a world which was still quite unknown in the Italian context under many aspects. The Ipeo operated until the end of World War II, when the government funding and even the political and cultural assumptions which had favoured its birth ceased because of the changed geopolitical context, determined by the end of the conflict. The second part of the volume covers the General alphabetical catalogue of all Ipeo’s publications, accompanied by a Chronological catalogue and by an Index of authors, editors, translators and preface writers.

    Description: Ivan Aksenov is one of the most neglected figures of early 20th Century Russian literature. The few scholars who have noticed his great originality interpret his verses above all as an application of the principles of Cubist painting in poetry, in the light of the experiences of Mayakovsky &Co.; these investigations denote a poor knowledge of the author, who did not fail to declare the incompatibility between the two artistic media. This book is therefore the first systematic study of Aksenov's poetry, starting from a reflection on the philological state of the texts, to move on to the reconstruction of his aesthetic thought and to integral analyzes of poetic compositions. An unprecedented theory of art emerges from this - which develops ideas of Tolstoy, Vjaceslav Ivanov and Freud - and a production in verses characterized by daring metric innovations and a flow-of-consciousness poetics of the with a subtly humorous urbanism that recalls authors such as Apollinaire and Cendrars. It is thus intended to highlight the peculiarity of Aksenov, the only Russian poet from the Futurist area to have participated, even for a few months, in the cultural life of Paris in the 1910s and an advocate at home of themes and stylistic elements partly related to the French esprit nouveau.

    Description: The concept of the literary canon is one of the most debated and controversial in the western intellectual tradition. This book offers ten contributions by Italian scholars of Anglo-American culture addressing the way in which the concept of the literary canon holds out against areas traditionally considered as external or extraneous to it. The essays range over different topics: the etymological analysis of the term "canon"; the relations between canon and performativity; paraliterature – a universe populated by non-hierarchic genres; the relations between post-colonial literature and the canon; postmodern biofiction; studies on translation and finally gay and lesbian literature. The book ends with a meditation on the innovations wrought on the Anglo-American canon by the virtual world of Internet and with a reading proposal originating from a different area of literary studies. Taken as a whole, the intention of the book is to pave the way to democratisation and pluralism in literary studies, going beyond the limitations set by the traditional scale of values of the "western canon". It proposes a frequentation of the geographical and cultural borderlines and hence of the areas of resistance that such borderlines pose to the dominant conceptual hierarchies within and around us, enabling us to glimpse an original future for literature and for western culture in a broader sense.

    Description: La LSF est la langue gestuelle parlée par les Sourds de France. Longtemps interdite, elle a été reconnue en France en 2005, un CAPES de LSF a été créé en 2010, elle est enseignée de l’école primaire à l’université. La LSF – comme toutes les langues gestuelles du monde – obéit aux lois de la gestualité : imiter le réel (ce que l’on nomme « iconicité ») et inscrire son corps dans l’espace (ce que l’on nomme « spatialité »). Elle met en œuvre, par le canal visuo-corporel, les facultés de langage humaines. En ce sens, elle possède des caractéristiques propres, mais, en tant que langue parmi les langues, on peut aussi l’analyser avec les outils que la linguistique générale a forgés depuis plus d’un siècle. Cet ouvrage de référence, présentant de nombreux exemples et schémas ainsi que de nombreuses illustrations, est le premier qui propose d’explorer et d’expliquer le fonctionnement linguistique de la LSF en regroupant des analyses concernant le lexique, la morphologie et la syntaxe.

    Description: Problèmes de sémantique n’a pas pour objectif de mettre sur pied une nouvelle et xième théorie sémantique, mais celui d’examiner le bouleversement qui a changé fortement le paysage de la sémantique actuelle et d’essayer ainsi de juger à leur juste valeur les hypothèses nouvelles qui portent le développement de la sémantique et surtout bouleversent le traitement de la polysémie aujourd’hui. Trois idées-force animent cette démarche (i) la sémantique n’a aucun sens si elle n’est pas tournée vers (ce que nous croyons être) la réalité. L’ouvrage se place ainsi résolument dans un cadre réaliste, positiviste, qui entend mettre en rapport les formes linguistiques et les aspects pertinents des situations extra-linguistiques qui les sous-tendent. (ii) cette sémantique est résolument ouverte au cognitif en ce qu’elle s’ancre dans l’expérience humaine sous toutes ses dimensions interactives : perceptuelle, sociale, culturelle, etc. (III) elle maintient une place au sens "linguistique", conçu comme un phénomène intersubjectivement stable, dans l’interprétation globale d’un énoncé. Par là-même, une réponse attrayante et instructive est apportée à deux questions cruciales pour la saisie et l’analyse de la polysémie : jusqu’où faut-il l’étendre et à quel niveau de généralité faut-il la traiter ?

There are both fragments of famous Ancient Greek authors (Homer, Hesiod, Herodotus, Thucydides, Xenophon, Isocrates, Demosthenes, Plutarch; the Septuagint, Cyril of Alexandria, the Physiologist), as well as fragments of unknown works: among others, a grammar text on the Ionian dialect and a doxographic fragment on Aristotelian philosophy. Then, there are texts of documentary nature: petitions, tax receipts, registers, reports, private letters, testimony of the daily life in Egypt during Roman and Byzantine times.

    Description: The volume, originating from the 5th Slavic Linguistics Meeting (Rome, 25-27 September 2014), reflects the state of the most recent research carried out in Italy in this discipline. It aims to continue the tradition already started at the end of the 1980s from the series Morphosyntactic problems of Slavic languages (Bologna 1988, 1990, 1991; Padua 1994, 1995), which has been recently renewed in the volumes published after the Meetings of Bergamo (2007), Padua (2008), Forlì (2010) and Milan (2014). This contribution testifies an expansion of interest beyond the boundaries of morphosyntax, towards other areas of theoretical and applied linguistics, such as pragmatics, semantics, language acquisition and sociolinguistics. Due to the variety of topics and methodologies used, the publication could interest not only those who carry out both theoretical and applied research in the field of Slavic languages, but also scholars in General linguistics.

    Description: “Everything in the feeling of speakers is a real phenomenon,” wrote Saussure in the 1880s for the purpose of a prospective morphology course. But the term feeling is not one of those which, like sign, system, synchrony and diachrony, is associated with the canon of Saussure's concepts. The purpose of this work is to illustrate, on the contrary, that linguistic feeling is essential to the Geneva linguist’s reasoning, and that it is perhaps the central focus which enables him to define what he calls “language”. The contributions in this work investigate what can be called Saussure's linguistic feeling, by exploring the inspirations which Saussure may have picked up from his predecessors, by studying the various inflections which the motif embraces in his texts, particularly from manuscript sources, and by exploring the issues of the notion today. As it is rooted in the sphere of the history of linguistic ideas, it also has the potential to open up new avenues for research on the apprehension of linguistic facts by the speaker.

    Description: L’enquête linguistique menée dans l’ouvrageo montre que les deux manières de concevoir les événements qui divisent profondément les philosophes contemporains, sont en réalité présentes et pour ainsi dire disponibles dans la pensée inscrite dans les structures d’une langue comme le français. Selon la première conception, qui est aussi la plus répandue, ils sont comme des entités individuelles ordinaires : de deux événements impliquant les mêmes entités, celui-ci est toujours irréductiblement différent de celui- là, ne serait-ce que parce qu’ils n’occupent pas la même portion d’espace-temps. Selon l’autre, ces prétendus individus sont en réalité des instances d’un seul et même événement, qui n’est ni cette instance-ci, ni celle-là. Mais la langue ne choisit pas, et offre la possibilité de passer d’un point de vue à l’autre, en passant simplement d’une structure syntaxique à une autre. Centrée autour des noms d’événements, la démarche commence par situer la notion correspondante dans un réseau où elle voisine avec celles de fait et d’action, entre autres. Elle se termine par une tentative de répondre, toujours par des moyens linguistiques, à la question de savoir si la pensée du temps inscrite dans la langue implique que ce soit le temps qui fonde les événements ou l’inverse. La question, parallèle à celle du rapport entre choses et espace, débouche sur celle de l’expression linguistique de l’existence. L’ouvrage tente donc de remplir sur le sujet des événements la partie linguistique du programme de la philosophie du langage ordinaire, partie que peu de ces philosophes (à l’exception de Vendler) ont pu remplir, faute d’être eux-mêmes linguistes.

    Description: Avec cet ouvrage s’ouvre un dossier qui demeurait depuis longtemps en attente : celui au sens des mots construits. L’état stationnaire du traitement du sens et de la référence des mots construits peut en effet être exposé dans un rapport bref : - D’un côté, la particularité sémantique et référentielle des mots ayant une structure construite a été remarquée, depuis que la linguistique existe pourrait-on dire : des noms comme poirier, cerisier et pommier sont particularisés par Saussure en tant que “signes relativement motivés”. Dans un métalangage plus actuel, on soulignerait plutôt que le sens et le contenu de la catégorie référentielle de poirier, de cerisier et de pommier peuvent se calculer respectivement à partir du sens et de la catégorie référentielle de poire, de cerise et de pomme. - D’un autre côté, la spécificité manifeste du sens et de la référence des mots construits demeure ignorée dans la recherche en linguistique. De façon générale, en effet, les morphologues se sont polarisés sur l’étude de la structure des mots construits, laissant de côté leur sens, et aucune théorie de sémantique lexicale n’a mis en place les moyens nécessaires pour élaborer une description du sens et de la référence des mots construits différente de celle des mots non construits. Voulant combattre cette paralysie, l’auteur conduit des analyses minutieuses de faits observables qui permettent de : (i) cerner en quoi consiste la spécificité du sens et de la référence des mots construits, (ii) montrer pourquoi ni les définitions lexicographiques, ni les principales théories de sémantique lexicale, ni la plupart des modèles de morphologie dérivationnelle ne parviennent à rendre compte de façon satisfaisante du sens de ce type de mots et de la façon dont ils constituent leur catégorie référentielle, (iii) proposer une voie théorique pour parvenir à une représentation sémantique et référentielle adéquate des mots construits.

Les sept premiers chapitres conduisent à la formulation standard de la théorie du liage. Le chapitre 8 retrace à grands traits l’histoire des hypothèses génératives concernant la structure en constituants, dont la théorie du liage est crucialement solidaire. Le chapitre 9 passe en revue un certain nombre de problèmes mis à jour depuis la version standard de la théorie. Chacun des chapitres 1 à 8 est suivi d’exercices corrigés qui récapitulent les dernières hypothèses introduites et annoncent les suivantes. L’ensemble est complété par un index notionnel, et par un glossaire français-anglais destiné à faciliter la lecture des travaux cités dans la bibliographie. Au lecteur désireux d’étudier sérieusement la grammaire générative, ce livre fournira des repères conceptuels, terminologiques et bibliographiques. Pour les non générativistes, il sera un ouvrage d’information commode, que chacun pourra consulter en fonction de ses besoins propres.

    Description: From March 16-19, 2016, the Young Romance Studies Forum on "Center and Periphery" took place at the Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg. In this volume, the dialectical concepts of center and periphery are examined from the perspectives of literary, linguistic, and cultural studies. Their relevance in Romania is examined in the individual contributions on the basis of geographical, spatial, historical, social, and linguistic aspects, in order to include different approaches and methods of analysis. In addition to a heterogeneous approach to the dimensions of the conceptual pair, the volume offers a structured presentation of the individual phenomena studied. The two thematic blocks focus, on the one hand, on diverse literary studies considerations of the dichotomy of the conceptual pair, and, on the other hand, on linguistic conceptions of center and periphery. Thus, new perspectives on both central and peripheral phenomena in Romance studies are opened up, on the one hand by presenting the range of (traditional) centers and peripheries, and on the other hand by referring to current discussions in the context of the two concepts.

It is divided into three parts, the first one being dedicated to the category of verbal aspect in the Slavic languages. The second part deals with Slavic minority varieties spoken in Italy, in particular the Slovene dialects of Friuli and Molise Slavic.     Description: Mare, fiume, ruscello. Acqua e musica nella cultura romantica (Sea, river, stream. Water and music in romantic culture) re-reads German literature between the 18th and 19th centuries, focusing on the figure of water, following the theoretical-methodological lines traced by Gaston Bachelard in his studies on material imagination, especially in his 1942 work L'eau et les rêves. The work investigates the elective affinities between liquid substance, poetic word and music in the romantic period. The rereading highlights the large number of "liquid-aquatic" metaphors in Franz Schubert's lieder works, with particular attention to the cycles Die Schöne Müllerin (1823) and Winterreise (1828). The study is conducted in an interdisciplinary perspective that extends, between literary and musical analysis, to the reading and listening of the Lieder.

    Description: The volume presents the edition of a copy of an anonymous Russian manuscript spelling book probably written by the famous scholar Yevfimiy Cudovsky, or by personalities close to him from the Muscovite background of the Philhellenes, in the 1680s. This spelling book represents a significant evidence of the level reached, on the eve of the great reforms introduced by Peter, by the Russian didactic literature intended for elementary education, heir to the tradition established by Ivan Fyodorov with the manual printed in Lviv in 1574. The edition is accompanied by a preface and a commentary that locates the spelling book in the Russian historical-cultural and literary context of the second half of the 17th century, particularly in relation to other books of this kind and grammar manuals circulating at the time.

Ils identifient les obstacles linguistiques aux négociations et diverses méthodes pour les surmonter. Le recours à des intermédiaires est ici envisagé en contexte dans des cas bien documentés. Le volume s’attache également aux dynamiques linguistiques singulières à l’œuvre dans les négociations. On peut ainsi s’écrire dans une langue de registre élevé et se parler dans une ou plusieurs autres langues selon les phases des tractations, selon les connotations recherchées. Les contributions éclairent enfin les enjeux liés aux choix linguistiques pour les négociations. Adopter une langue plutôt qu’une autre, s’exprimer ou non dans une langue « commune » : la décision dépend souvent de l’usage, mais aussi de rapports de forces ; elle peut être négociée, et revêt parfois une dimension symbolique ou idéologique. C’est là l’objet d’une histoire de longue durée, auquel cet ouvrage voudrait contribuer.

    Description: The Greek koinè shows a double development in the crystallised Greek language (intended for literary, administrative and ecclesiastical uses) and the language of everyday use subject to innovations that would lead to the birth neo-Greek, which was never the official language for written documents. This situation determined the almost absolute lack of documents that allow us to reconstruct the evolution of the Greek language from the late age to the early Middle Ages. This work contributes to the reconstruction of this gap by analysing the Greek language of the the private letters written on papyrus, a documentary typology probably close to the spoken register. The analysis isolated four peculiar phenomena of the morphosyntactic evolution of the Greek (genitive-dative syncretism, disappearance of the infinitive, replacement of the perfect tense with equivalent periphrases and disposition of the clitics), offering a renewed picture.

    Description: L’éclat et l’énergie des énoncés inconvenants et paradoxaux tiennent à la façon dont ils attaquent soit la logique ou le bon sens, soit la civilité ou la morale, soit les deux à la fois. Subtils ou agressifs, ils interrogent et relativisent l’aspiration ou la prétention au sérieux dans la pensée. Bien qu’ils n’aient pas été toujours produits au sein de l’institution littéraire, ils apparaissent comme des manifestations particulièrement exemplaires de la créativité langagière, et à ce titre de la poéticité. C’est pourquoi les littéraires en général et les stylisticiens en particulier peuvent les considérer comme d’excellents candidats pour illustrer ce que l’art littéraire ou la fonction poétique « font » à la pensée, et ce que la pensée fait à la forme. La question clé qui sous-tendait ce 4e colloque de l’AIS (Association Internationale de Stylistique), qui a eu lieu à l’automne 2018 à Aix-en-Provence, engageait ainsi deux notions a priori hétérogènes : le paradoxe, notion logique bien balisée, et l’inconvenance, qui relève du jugement de valeur, de nature morale. La problématique comportait également deux aspects à l’articulation délicate : d’abord s’interroger sur les formes et les enjeux du charme de ces énoncés, aux fonctions fort diverses et qui sont inclus soit dans des textes mais détachables, soit dans des phrases sans texte au statut encore plus incertain ; mais, plus intéressant, se demander en quoi ces énoncés pourraient relancer la quête d’une définition de la fonction poétique.

    Description: Leo Tolstoy's works are not only masterpieces of world literature, but also mirrors of their time, of the socio-cultural transformations which took place in Tsarist Russia; it is from this perspective that, in this work, this great writer’s production is analysed. In particular, the author examines the evolution of the institution of marriage in the second half of the 19th century in Russia, starting from the reading of Family Happiness , Anna Karenina and The Kreutzer Sonata. If Family happiness preludes to the crisis of the arranged marriage, its implosion is beautifully described in Anna Karenina . Anna announces the definitive death of this institution when she defies the society of her time by not hiding her adultery and, on the contrary, by exhibiting it and trying to legitimize it.The Kreutzer Sonata, lastly, demonstrates the successful overcoming of the aristocratic marriage model, replaced by the bourgeois one.

    Description: Gerasim Zelic (1752-1828) is one of the most emblematic figures of the Serbian cultural scene between the 18th and 19th century. He as an archimandrite of the Serbian Orthodox monastery of Krupa, a diplomat and a writer. From 1794 to 1811, Zelic held the position of Vicar-General of the Serbs in Dalmatia and, as such, was one of the main actors of the events related to the confessional controversy that stirred the region at the time. His autobiography, entitled Žitije and published in Budapest in 1823, also places him among the protagonists of a crucial period for the birth of the new Serbian literature. Following a multidisciplinary approach, the essays collected in the volume Gerasim Zelic e il suo tempo analyse Gerasim Zelic’s story, his involvement in the events related to the confessional controversy in Dalmatia and his literary activity, bringing the discussion to the era in which the Serbian archimandrite lived. Particular attention is paid to the context in which Zelic worked, namely the Balkan peninsula, as well as to the cultural history of the Serbs of Hungary between the 18th and 19th century.

    Description: This volume aims at investigating the reasons why, in Turkey, individual memory and construction of subjectivity (both intended in the broad sense) go beyond the boundaries of the individual in order to incorporate matters concerning national identity. The "writings on the self", be them confessions, memoirs, autobiographical or biographical novels, have been chosen as tools for the comprehension of the construction mechanisms of individual and collective memory. The issues related to the building of the modern Turkish nation, with its traumatic historical events and the approaches to the theme of memory by those who were excluded from the dominant and hegemonic narrative, constitute the core themes around which the authors' reflection develops.

    Description: Au tournant du xxe siècle émerge un nouveau champ scientifique pour l’étude de la parole et du langage. L’abbé Rousselot, avec la phonétique expérimentale, propose d’induire des lois pour les changements phonétiques observés dans les langues. C’est au Collège de France, grâce aux travaux d’Étienne-Jules Marey, que Rousselot va pouvoir rendre lisible et donc analysable ce qui n’était jusqu’alors qu’audible. Cet ouvrage réunit seize contributions relatives à l’émergence de ce champ de recherche. Descriptions, récits et portraits mettent en relief la pluridisciplinarité de la phonétique expérimentale. Au fil de l’ouvrage, sont successivement abordés le contexte scientifique ayant permis le développement de cette discipline ; les premières expérimentations à Paris et à Grenoble ; les développements internationaux en Russie, Italie et Allemagne ; des champs d’étude et d’application de la phonétique expérimentale et enfin une illustration des méthodes et de l’appareillage d’analyse du début du xxe siècle à nos jours. L’ouvrage constitue par ailleurs un hommage à Théodore Rosset, fondateur de l’Institut de phonétique de Grenoble, premier institut universitaire de phonétique de France et à John Ohala (University of California, Berkeley) l’un des grands noms de la phonétique expérimentale contemporaine, très attaché au domaine de l’histoire des sciences phonétiques.

    Description: The articles in this collection deal with the expression of existential values in several languages of the world. The diversity of theoretical approach taken by the authors illustrates richness and universality of this problem, and demonstrates the similarities and the differences of its expression in natural languages. The original aspect of the collection is not only due to the description of possessive, locative or attributive values in several languages, but mainly due to the diversity of theoretical approaches to its analysis. The authors also study the evolution and interdependency of existential constructions. The existential predication may be presented as a specific operation of locating one term relative to another, expressed by the means of a non-canonical marking of constituents, a non-canonical constituent order within the utterance, and by using a particular existential marker. Typological analysis or a simple comparison between two singular languages, an enunciative approach or a study of the forms complete each other and open up new perspectives for linguistic research on the expression of existence in natural languages of the world.

Starting from Jakobson’s definition of poeticalness, the volume studies the mechanisms by which connectors, such as linguistic signs assigned to the connection between parts of speech, contribute to the poeticalness in a text, which is here intended as a textual peculiarity capable of activating the interpreter in the tout court language, but mainly in the literary text. The first two chapters of this volume offer an overview of the theoretical and methodological foundations that justify the choice to acquire the connectors as possible indicators of poeticalness, and also a preparatory introduction to the third chapter, where there is the description of the results from a study on the syntax and semantics of the connector in in a collection of German poetry texts from the first half of the 20th century.

    Description: This book outlines a short profile of Italy’s linguistic history, and discusses some current problems related to globalization, the values of the mother tongue and multilingualism, and the need to re-found the Italian and European linguistic policy on a new basis. Contemporary Italian is a particularly stratified cultural asset in which, alongside the many new elements, one can grasp the clear and precious signs of a very strong connection with the past. Today, in the European scene, Italy indeed stands out for its accentuated multilingualism and the long duration of its national language. On the one hand, the extraordinary animal and plant biodiversity in the country corresponds to an extraordinary cultural and linguistic diversity; on the other, the Italians feel that the language used by Dante, Petrarca and Boccaccio still belongs to them, and has fundamental traits coinciding with their own. Such richness is particularly appreciated abroad (as evidenced by the growing demand for Italian speakers in the world) and deserves to be better acknowledged by the younger generations. It also deserves to be protected and valued with appropriate tools, starting with a decisive rethinking of the country’s linguistic policy.

    Description: Dieu au Collège de France, volume 6 of the « Passage des disciplines » series, includes texts that were presented during the symposium “Dieu at the Collège de France”, which was held in June 2021, after the delays caused by the pandemic, as part of “Passage des disciplines. Global history of the Collège de France, 19th-20th century”. This research program and the series associated with it examines the genesis of scientific and literary fields of knowledge, their mapping and their evolution during the 19th and 20th centuries, on both national and international levels, from the standpoint afforded by the history of the renewal of academic chairs at the Collège de France. “Dieu” is, to be sure, not a new 19th discipline, or a “founder of discursivity”, as Foucault called the scholars who had invented not only new discourses, but, more broadly, discursive continents, new “épistemes”. God is certainly an ancient “inventor of discursivity” and the discursive continent that he has launched is considerably more diffuse than those which come from Freud, Darwin, Einstein or Durkheim, which were the object of preceding symposia, and, for the first three ones, of the first three volumes of the series. Yet, it seemed to us possible to examine, in collaboration with Thomas Römer, holder of the chair The Hebrew Bible and its Contexts, the science of God and how the Collège de France, at different times of its history, and through this institution, the university, higher education in general, the life of ideas, made way for the sciences of religion.

    Description: Oggetto del volume sono le biografie linguistiche di persone trasferitesi in Alto Adige (Südtirol) dai paesi successori alla Jugoslavia dal 1985 al 2015. Esaminando a livello contenutistico e formale i discorsi epilinguistici di parlanti che hanno vissuto e vivono in spazi sociolinguistici altamente complessi, la ricerca si propone di contribuire allo studio della ristrutturazione dei repertori in situazioni di contatto. Due sono le unità di analisi specifiche, identificate tramite i metodi della sociolinguistica interpretativa. Da un lato, si analizzano i glottonimi e le apposizioni usate per riferirsi alle varietà linguistiche d’origine. Ne emerge un quadro dei modi di posizionarsi dei partecipanti nei confronti dei recenti interventi di pianificazione linguistica in area balcanica.     Description: Maximus the Greek (c.1470-1556), born Michael Trivolis, is a complex figure. As a copyist and Dominican novice, Orthodox monk and humanist, he stands at the crossroads of different worlds, cultures and creeds. His life path unwound between his besieged homeland, humanist Italy – in the Republics of Florence and Venice and in the Papal States – Mount Athos and the Moscow of Vasili III and Ivan IV. This path brought him exceptionally into contact with both Latin and vernacular humanism and Latin Christianity, with the Greek and Slavic Byzantine tradition, with Orthodoxy and Islam, in a cultural, linguistic and religious polyphony that is at once his hallmark and the key to his literary legacy. The subject of this book is Maximus the Greek’s testimony regarding the Western religious orders contained in the Terrible and Memorable Narration, and the Perfect Form of Monastic Life and the Letter on the Franciscans and the Dominicans. The comparison with documentary evidence, made here for the first time, demonstrates the reliability of these works, casting light on the author’s life and the sources, places and people involved in it.

    Description: The book offers an overview of homiletic literature in the Kievian period (XI-XIII century) through the figures of four preachers: the Metropolitan Nikifor I († 1121), Serapion Vladimirskij († 1275), Luka Židjata († 1059) and the hegumen Moisej († 1187). Adopting an approach that, on the one hand takes into consideration the methods recently applied to the study of Western and Byzantine mediaeval homiletics, and on the other recent studies addressing the rhetorical form and the use of citations, the author investigates the function of the Biblical and liturgical citations in the texts of the Slavic-Oriental homiletic tradition, proposing an interpretation in a key that is not merely rhetorical but also linked to pragmatic linguistics.

    Description: The subject of this work is the morphosyntactic analysis of a corpus of Latin documentary papers which were written in the centre and the north of the Italian peninsula between the 7th and the 8th century. The study focuses on the competition, in the nominal phrase, between synthetic and analytical encoding of the dependent name, which is the result of the grammaticalization process of the phrase starting by the preposition “de”, which in the Romance phase replaced the genitive case. This change is interpreted on a semantic basis, making use of the functional domain of possession. The volume also analyses nominal morphology which, although characterized by polymorphism and inconsistency, manifests phenomena such as the levelling of random oppositions and the reconstruction of inflectional paradigms, two inverse processes which find their cause in the principle of animacy.

    Description: This book is a collection of some of the most interesting work by Maria Di Salvo compiled on the occasion of her sixty-fifth birthday.     Description: Villalón wrote one of the first complete grammars of Castilian in 1558. He contributed to the description and codification of Castilian, as well as to the invention of a metalanguage specific to Castilian. The present study retraces in six chapters the sinuous trajectory of the first grammarians of the Romance languages, focusing on Villalón's grammar and linking it to that of Nebrija. It aims to shed light on the modalities of standardisation and metalinguistic description of Castilian, based on the notions of linguistic awareness, norm, sentence, article and completeness.

    Description: L’œuvre écrite de ʿAbd al-Raʾūf al-Munāwī (m. 1622) est l’une des plus riches et des plus importantes du xie/xviie siècle en langue arabe. Il s’intéressa à toutes les sciences islamiques de son époque. À ce titre, il incarne parfaitement l’idéal d’encyclopédisme et de polygraphie que l’Égypte ottomane a hérité de son époque mamelouke. Tout en étant l’héritier de nombreux savants marqués par le soufisme, al-Munāwī a su proposer des vues en nette rupture avec le consensus. Ce faisant, il est amené à tenter une réhabilitation d’Ibn Sīnā et d’Abū al-ʿAbbās al-Būnī. Les écrits d’al-Munāwī constituent une excellente illustration de la convergence du soufisme et du Hadith qui fut amorcée durant la période mamelouke et s’amplifia au début de l’époque ottomane. Reprenant la tradition de l’herméneutique soufie du Hadith, al-Munāwī l’enrichit d’apports importants comme ceux d’al-Ġazālī et d’Ibn ʿArabī. Il donne ainsi à cette tradition une ampleur rarement égalée.

    Description: What is the common aspect linking the studies of this volume, which take into account very different authors such as Conte, Palazzeschi, Zanzotto, Caproni, Rosselli, Biagini, some crespuscolar poets, Leopardi, Annovi, Giuliani, and even some twentieth-century translations of R.M. Rilke? They share the belief that the poetic word - which etymologically has “creative” powers - generates cognitive perspectives altering our perception of the world. Reading poetry does not have an effect confined to the page and to the moment, but affects our relationship with reality, changes it and enriches it in an often unsuspected and surprising way. In this collection, the authors try to bring out a sort of epistemology of poetry, in order to clarify how it can contribute to illuminating our experience of the world and of ourselves. The reader is then invited to look beyond the boundaries traditionally established by the various disciplines, in the direction of mutual contamination and openness to innovative and unprecedented suggestions.

    Description: Girolamo Bartolommei’s literary research is characterised by the narration of actions carried out by sacred and profane subjects and by the narration of ancient fabulae, re-interpreted according to the principle of moral utility. Girolamo Bartolommei dealt with different forms of lyrical, epic, dramaturgical and musical writing, recalling 'the benign readers' of his works to the ethical and social function of poetry. His work Didascalia cioè dottrina comica (“Caption, that is comic doctrine” printed in Florence in 1658 and reprinted in 1661), of which the critical edition is here introduced, is of particular interest for the peculiarity of the theoretical proposal. Such proposal is ascribable to the aesthetic of the academy theatre, aimed at demonstrating to young writers that only the 'honesty' and the decorum of a 'well-ordered comedy' could lift the fate of comic art from the degradation in which it had fallen. The author tries to convey this idea by proceeding from questions of general poetics up to the 'sketches of middle comedies' he composed himself.

    Description: Citer l’autre ou se citer soi-même pour rapporter son dire est une activité quotidienne de l’homme. Pendant longtemps, la tradition grammaticale, en s’appuyant sur un corpus écrit, a limité en trois, la manière de rapporter les paroles: le discours direct (DD), le discours indirect (DI) et le discours indirect libre (DIL). Or, à l’oral spontané, le discours rapporté (DR) a ses propres caractéristiques comme le montrent ces exemples : 1. Il a dit- je viens (pause) 2. Il a dit je viens (Parataxe sans pause) 3. Il a dit que je /viendrai, viendrais /. 4. Il a dit oh je viens (décrocheur énonciatif) 5. Il a dit que non je viens (cumul des décrocheurs) 6. Il a dit que faites descendre les clients (modalité injonctive avec que) En (1) et (2), nous avons une construction parataxique marquée par la présence d’une pause; en (3), on se demande s’il s’agit d’un DI quoique le pronom de l’interlocution je ne soit pas substitué en pronom de l’univers Il ; en (4), le DD est introduit par un décrocheur énonciatif, l’interjection joue ainsi un rôle phatique dans la communication ; en (5), nous notons le cumul du conjonctif que et du décrocheur non à I’initial du DD. Enfin, en (6) le que ne sert pas à compléter la proposition subordonnée. A partir d’un corpus du français parlé recueilli en République du Congo, cet ouvrage s’appuie, sur les acquis de la tradition grammaticale prenant en compte plusieurs faits linguistiques de la phrase, de la modalité, des temps et modes, etc. En montrant que l’oral spontané avait ses propres particularités, et que le DR à l’oral ne fonctionnait pas forcément comme à l’écrit.

    Description: Le xxie siècle est celui de l’information, de la communication et de l’échange. Mais sait-on réellement ce qu’est un échange langagier ? Cet essai propose d’étudier en détail les différentes dimensions du dialogue, qu’il soit discussion savante ou conversation prosaïque. Dans sa dimension pragmatique, la pratique dialogique se présente comme une activité conjointe, imprévisible et créatrice qui suppose notamment un décodage des informations fournies par le contexte au moyen de divers modes d’inférence (déductif, inductif, abductif, analogique). Toutefois, ce premier niveau s’avère tributaire d’un second, praxéologique, où se jouent les relations intersubjectives des partenaires ainsi que les enjeux et finalités transactionnelles qu’ils s’assignent conjointement dans le monde qu’ils construisent ensemble. Ce renversement praxéologique est illustré par l’analyse de la fable Le Corbeau et le Renard. Les conséquences idéologiques en sont établies sur le cas de la prétendue « éthique de la discussion » de Jürgen Habermas et sur celui de la « révolution nanotechnologique ».
