    Description: El análisis semiótico de la diégesis o historia relatada y la actorialización o distribución de los actores del discurso en Ilona llega con la lluvia permite dilucidar la desesperanza como el hilo conductor de la novela, el cual es develado por el relato que hacen los personajes de sus recuerdos. En mi lectura, daré cuenta del componente argumental como universo diégetico donde se desarrolla la trama, así como el componente actoral, donde se localizan los actores Maqroll, Ilona y Larissa, y las acciones que estos realizan y que los afectan. La actorialización definirá, además, cómo estos actores se relacionan con las isotopías semánticas de la nostalgia como sentimiento siempre presente de lo gozado en un pasado feliz, la muerte como experiencia propia y la conciencia de la propia destrucción como correlato necesario de la vida.

Basti pensare alle allegre crapule di Falstaff, il grasso cinghiale divorato dai triumviri di Antony and Cleopatra, il ricco ma fugace banchetto che appena s’intravede in The Tempest, oltre alle numerose altre scene in cui il cibo è metafora importante e portante dei molteplici sensi del testo. Nella cucina del bardo si sono inoltre formati autori che in modo cannibalesco hanno attinto a piene mani a ingredienti e sapori per cucinare testi inediti, succulenti o rivoltanti. Dai lecca-lecca dei burlesque ottocenteschi, passando per il grano dei Coriolanus di Bertold Brecht e Günter Grass, gli ingredienti shakespeariani lievitano misteriosamente e in modi sorprendenti nella dieta mediterranea di Franco Zeffirelli e Kenneth Branagh oltre che negli allegri brindisi del Falstaff verdiano.

    Description: The surge in public debt during the recent pandemic crisis has made high debt a prominent policy issue. Italy is an interesting case study since it has experienced high levels of debt for a significant part of its history. This article revisits the history of Italian public debts in the inter-war period. Italy emerged from WWI with public debt that peaked around 160 percent of GDP. In the mid-1920s a significant reduction of public debt occurred, in concomitance with a regime of fiscal austerity and two restructuring agreements that wiped more than 80 percent of Italian foreign debts. By the early 1930s, the US reaction to the Great Depression that opposed any form of international cooperation, led to an Italian default on war debts in 1934 and a move toward autarky.

After a meeting with him in Cortona, Helle Busacca, a poet and writer from Messina, began drafting an epistolary diary dedicated to Corrado Pavolini, a well-known intellectual and film director of Tuscan origins with whom she had been in love for over twenty years. Through the so far unpublished pages she dedicated to “una storia senza storia” (“a story without history"), the writer brings to life an incandescent theatre of the self, in which the dramatization of personal experience, the self-representative elaboration and the expression of a living and restless inner self combine in a mixture of strongly hybrid characters, which is conveyed by a disruptive communicative force. As the desperately pursued interlocutor becomes increasingly evanescent and unreachable, the voice of a modern tragic heroine emerges unmistakably between claim and confession.

    Description: The validation of the Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) and Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) was carried out. In the first, a potassium acid phthalate standard and a spectrophotometric detection method were used, and for the second, the reading of samples was implemented by membrane electrode, a standard glutamic acid-glucose solution and incubation for 5 days at 20 ± 1ºC. Parameters were determined as linearity, precision, accuracy, sensitivity, limit of detection and quantification. It was demonstrated through experimental design and statistical procedures that methods can be used with sensitivity and confidence. Detection and quantification limits of 46.2 and 100 mg/L for COD and 2.78 and 4.71 mg / L for BOD were reached. In both tests a coefficient of variation for repeatability and reproducibility between 0.001 - 0.055% and 0.001 - 0.022% was evidenced; in accuracy, error and recovery percentages were obtained between 0.04 - 3.39% and 95.0 and 103% respectively.

    Description: Se realizó la validación de la Demanda Química de Oxígeno (DQO) y Demanda Bioquímica de Oxígeno (DBO). En la primera se utilizó estándar de ftalato ácido de potasio y un método de detección espectrofotométrico y para la segunda, se implementó la lectura de muestras por electrodo de membrana, una solución estándar de glucosa-ácido glutámico e incubación por cinco días a 20±1ºC. Se determinaron parámetros como linealidad, precisión, exactitud, sensibilidad, límite de detección y cuantificación. Se demostró mediante el diseño experimental y los procedimientos estadísticos que se pueden emplear los métodos con sensibilidad y confianza. Se alcanzaron límites de detección y cuantificación de 46.2 y 100 mg/L para DQO y 2.78 y 4.71 mg/L para DBO. En ambas pruebas se evidenció un coeficiente de variación para repetibilidad y reproducibilidad entre el 0.001 - 0.055% y 0.001 – 0.022%; en la exactitud se obtuvieron porcentajes de error y recuperación entre el 0.04 – 3.39% y 95.0 y 103% respectivamente.

    Description: The 43rd UID conference, held in Genova, takes up the theme of ‘Dialogues’ as practice and debate on many fundamental topics in our social life, especially in these complex and not yet resolved times. The city of Genova offers the opportunity to ponder on the value of comparison and on the possibilities for the community, naturally focused on the aspects that concern us, as professors, researchers, disseminators of knowledge, or on all the possibile meanings of the discipline of representation and its dialogue with ‘others’, which we have broadly catalogued in three macro areas: History, Semiotics, Science / Technology. Therefore, “dialogue” as a profitable exchange based on a common language, without which it is impossible to comprehend and understand one another; and the graphic sign that connotes the conference is the precise transcription of this concept: the title ‘translated’ into signs, derived from the visual alphabet designed for the visual identity of the UID since 2017.     Description: The art of printing with movable type made its appearance in Perugia -then as now, the heart of Italy- in 1471, when the city was under the sway of Braccio Baglioni. Perugia was home to an important university which had been attracting students from all over Europe for more than a century. They found hospitality in two colleges, of which the ‘Sapienza Vecchia’, in particular, was accustomed to accommodating students from abroad. The colleges were themselves instrumental in assisting the work of the earliest printers, all of them foreigners; their enterprise flourished for about fifteen years before strong competition from larger printing centres, notably Venice, took control of the Perugian book market. A second phase in local book production started at the turn of the century under the aegis of two major players, the Cartolari family and Bianchino dal Leone. The history of the book in Perugia is characterized by a quality and originality which is not reflected in the modest quantities produced there, and the major bibliographers have always taken an interest in it. All that and more can be found in this book, the outcome of lengthy research based on detailed analysis of all known editions and archival documents, including a number of new discoveries.

    Description: El presente volumen reúne una serie de conferencias dictadas por los dos primeros titulares de la Cátedra Extraordinaria Guillermo y Alejandro de Humboldt, el doctor Walther Bernecker y el doctor León E. Bieber, en El Colegio de México y el la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México desde su inauguración en octubre de 1998.     Description: Even today, Italians tend to adopt a double imagine of their national character, played on the contrast between an evolved and conscious minority (‘us’) and a backward and typically pre-modern majority (‘them’). As Giulio Bollati has shown better than any other in a famous essay, this self-representation draws its origins first of all from the period between the late Enlightenment and the early Napoleonic age, in which for the first time the Peninsula was called to deal with the models imposed by the great European modernization. The paper aims to reconstruct the process that led some of the most prominent political thinkers of this years (Baretti, Verri, Gioia, Botta, Cuoco) to adopt the image mentioned above - and this privileging the approach of the constitutional history.

    Description: This third volume of Argentine-Chilean binational studies continues and deepens the inquiries about the construction of social meanings in the territory called Araucanía-Norpatagonia. Again, the starting point is the plurality of a territory of diffuse and artificial limits, a plurality that is evidenced in the dialogue, the different perspectives of approach, the polysemy and the tensions behind concepts and representations observed through a particular epistemological gaze and necessary for a territory of late integration such as that of the Chilean-Argentine Patagonia. In this case, the book is organized in three axes. The first, "Disputed territorial constructions", includes works that analyze, from different disciplinary points of view, the tensions that run through the production of meanings about the territory. The second is "Neoliberalism and commodification of nature" and brings together studies that focus on the different forms and open scenarios of dispute for the appropriation of land, water and biodiversity within the framework of the historical cycle that began with the conservative reaction of the late 1970s. Finally, the third axis "New approaches to thinking about a binational territory" contains articles that, also from different perspectives and problems, share the concern to carry out conceptual and methodological reflections to contribute to drawing future studies from a binational perspective.

La experiencia histórica y administrativa de tres siglos, había generado importantes lazos culturales, pero hasta entonces la lealtad a la Corona y la religión eran las fuentes principales de unión. Al romperse las ligas con España hubo que trasladar la lealtad del Rey al gobierno independiente, y como en otros casos, se recurrió a los rituales cívicos y a la educación pública y, dentro de ella, a la enseñanza de la historia patria. Este libro se ocupa precisamente de las modalidades que ha asumido ese intento a lo largo de siglo y medio. La investigación emprendió el análisis de los programas y libros de texto de historia, tanto oficiales como particulares, y los situó dentro del contexto del acontecer del Estado mexicano y de la educación pública. Por tanto es una obra de interés para educadores, estudiosos de la historia de México y del público en general.

    Description: In this article, the experience of approaching the characterization of afro-descendant, indigenous and functional diversity early childhood, attended by twenty (20) institutions of initial education in Santiago de Cali, is presented. In this action-participation research, the voices of families, teachers, support staff, boys and girls on differential attention and attention to diversity are recognized, through the implementation of participant observations, workshops with teachers and educational agents, family referents and semi-structured interviews with the children benefiting from the centers responsible for initial education in the city. Additionally, a documentary analysis of the Operational Plans for Comprehensive Care (POAI) was made. By way of problematization and contribution to the discussion about inclusion in childhood educational contexts, research results are raised, as well as some issues to work for the strengthening of initial education with a differential approach, where it is considered vital for child development, address as a transversal axis the theme of identity and respect for diversity.

    Description: En este artículo, se plantea la experiencia de acercamiento a la caracterización de la primera infancia afrodescendiente, indígena y con diversidad funcional, atendida en 20 instituciones de Educación Inicial de Santiago de Cali. En esta investigación tipo acción-participación, se reconocen las voces de las familias, maestras, personal de apoyo, niños y niñas, sobre atención diferencial y atención a la diversidad, mediante la implementación de observaciones participantes, talleres con maestras, maestros y agentes educativos, referentes familiares y entrevistas semiestructuradas con los niños y las niñas beneficiarios de los centros encargados de la Educación Inicial en la ciudad. Adicionalmente, se hizo un análisis documental de los Planes Operativos para la Atención Integral (POAI). A modo de problematización y aporte a la discusión sobre la inclusión en contextos educativos de infancia, se plantean los resultados de investigación, así como algunos temas a trabajar para el fortalecimiento de la Educación Inicial con enfoque diferencial, donde se considera vital para el desarrollo infantil, abordar como eje transversal la temática de la identidad y el respeto a la diversidad.

    Chapter Il peso delle emozioni nell’argomentazione sui social media (2022)

    Description: Social media are nowadays fertile ground for debates that are often rich in arguments of persuasive value. In the present writing, we hypothesize that emotions play a significant role in determining the success of arguments on social media. In order to validate the hypothesis, we analyzed Change My View, an Internet forum on Reddit where the persuasiveness of the discussions among participants is explicit and regulated by specific norms. Our analysis revealed that arguments enjoying a higher degree of success were characterized by two particular emotions: anticipation and joy, which we interpret as belonging to engagement, a more general emotional dimension that includes them both. Such characteristics of successful arguments lead us to consider the persuasive experience on social media as analogous to a playful experience. Like in a game, in order to successfully take part in such a persuasive experience, certain requirements are needed: commitment and respect for the rules as well as joyful participation.

As known, Florence played a central role in the process of national linguistic unification and thanks to its international vocation the city has promoted the spread and knowledge of the Italian language and culture all over Europe and in the world. Las mujeres escriben, premio Casa de las Américas, en el 2004 y “la Narrativa femenina en Colombia” en el 2006. Parte de su creación y de la vida que da a las mujeres es el libro Escritoras latinoamericanas: Razón y locura. Él está conformado por dos ensayos: el primero es una presentación general de algunas pensadoras latinoamericanas. El segundo es un recorrido por la narrativa femenina en Colombia y otros países, particularmente la narrativa focalizada en La locura. Como ella lo dice, “este libro es producto de sus investigaciones permanentes alrededor de la expresión y discursividad femenina en América latina y en Colombia” (Navia, 2012, p. 10).

Llamaremos así a toda convicción que haya llegado a ser para quien la posee -o la padece una referencia de su propia identidad; algo que por lo tanto no puede ser perdido -por ejemplo superado- sin que se abra inmediatamente la cuestión esencial de la angustia: ¿Quién soy yo ahora que no pienso así, ahora que no creo en esto? Tal vez convenga dejar de lado momentáneamente el carácter mismo de esta convicción, su grado de elaboración y coherencia, las condiciones de su formación, para destacar solamente ese rasgo decisivo: que ha llegado a ser un referente de identidad. Esto nos permite indicar, para comenzar, que en un sentido fundamental todos somos dogma-ticos, que no es posible tomar una alegre distancia sobre el dogmatismo, sin hacernos toda clase de ilusiones sobre la economía de nuestro pensamiento. Dogmático fue ya nuestro ingreso en el mundo: una palabra incuestionable designó, valoró y configuró la imagen primera de la realidad y de nosotros mismos; la palabra de un ser supremo objeto de todo, de la identificación, de la necesidad, del amor, del deseo, de la demanda, de la hostilidad. Cuando más tarde, los monstruos sagrados de la infancia se diferencian y relativizan y, finalmente, ya no puede negarse del todo que son en cierto modo, señores comunes y corrientes, la nostalgia de una palabra fundadora sigue operando y puede buscarse y encontrarse en el mundo alguien a quien adjudicársela; o, lo que es más peligroso, tratar de negar que estamos privados de ella por medio de una autonomización maníaca e intentar producirla nosotros mismos. Y por desgracia no siempre sin éxito, puesto que hay muchos que la buscan.

    Description: Varias son las vetas desde donde se han abordado la expresión “lenguaje cinematográfico”. No obstante, como introducción para después abordar tal expresión con mayor profundidad desde lo que nos interesa, podemos destacar dos. La primera tiene relación con el deslumbramiento y asombro que el cine mudo, a principios del siglo XX, ocasionaba en algunos artistas y estetas, así como las posibilidades que éstos últimos veían en aquel. El cine, como una nueva forma de expresión, surgió y fue aceptado por las mayorías y por algunas minorías. Esto implicaba necesariamente una innovadora manera de abordar y vivir la experiencia estética, hasta ese momento anclada y validada socialmente en la cultura élite, cuyo medio de expresión más sobresaliente era el lenguaje verbal y escrito.

    Description: Following Fernand Braudel’s Méditerranée, historians interpreted the Mediterranean, Baltic, Atlantic, Indian Ocean or Pacific as closed maritime systems, consisting of multiple micro-environments. This essay seeks to overcome these limited perspectives and to examine, how the various seas and oceans were connected by the Vikings, the Cairo Genizah merchants and the Italian trading companies of the Middle Ages. The second part of my article “Connected Seas” examines the perception and memory of the seas as an element of maritime connectivity. It introduces the concept of realm of memory (lieu de mémoire) into maritime history and tests it in four case studies on the Sound, the Straits of Gibraltar, the Dardanelles and the Straits of Malacca.

    Description: The so-called data deluge, along with ever-increasing technological capabilities, tantalizes geographers with exciting opportunities for spatial data analysis. These opportunities come with challenges, because data and technology, alone, cannot address the pressing questions of our world. Spatial analysis, a.k.a. spatial statistics, is a lot more than colourful maps and attractive displays: still relatively underrepresented in the Italian geography, this discipline has grown from a strictly quantitative niche to part of a critical spatial science and continues to stimulate new developments in statistics because, as we know, spatial is special. This book, published in the series “New Geographies. Work Tools”, adds spatial analysis to the Italian geographer’s toolbox. Not a how-to manual, it presents some of the core analytical issues through the redundancy of narrative language and mathematical language. It traces the journey of spatial analysis from its roots in quantitative geography, GIS, and statistics, towards the definition of its own identity and the acceptance of its own relativity and limitations. It discusses the relationship of spatial analysis with GIScience and its efforts to embed critiques within its own discourse, emphasizing the role of theory, the importance of hypothesis testing, and acknowledging the ethics surrounding the use and analysis of data. A few examples illustrate practical implementations, showing the value added by spatial statistics in yielding reliable analyses that can support management decisions. It concludes with a brief outlook on the Italian geographic literature, where spatial analysis – like elsewhere – can play a role in competently accepting today’s opportunities and challenges, in a constructive dialogue within geography as a whole.

    Description: Umberto Gori has held the first chair of International Relations in Italy and has been the first scholar to address a series of central topics in the analysis of foreign policy and international politics. Those who browse, even if only rapidly, his rich bibliography cannot but be struck by the great variety of the topics examined: from the first works of a predominantly legal nature, we move on to studies centered on methodological and epistemological issues, relations between states, analysis of foreign policy in general and Italian foreign policy in particular, Peace Research, strategic affairs, intelligence, and finally the impact of the information and digital revolution on international politics and contemporary strategy. What holds together so many different issues is, firstly, a constant attention to methodology and, secondly, a clear preference for a predominantly operational approach, in the belief that knowledge must always be functional to decision and action. These basic attitudes are reflected not only in his strongly characterized research agenda, but also in the twofold nature of his teaching commitment: on the one hand, Gori taught outside the university classrooms, at military and governmental institutions, for decades; on the other hand, he introduced issues traditionally reserved to diplomacy and security institutions into the Italian academic context. Such a propensity to build bridges between different worlds - academic, military, technological, diplomatic, financial - and a research vocation that has never failed make Umberto Gori a figure indissolubly linked to the birth and development of International Relations in Italy.

This course was used as a trial for the peer-review teaching method, which can be useful in classes with a high number of students; this publication also includes a selection of the best works produced by the students. The results of the trial prove the advantages of using the peer-review teaching method for other university courses, and the students' works on e-health give current medical practitioners insights on how to use ICT in their practice with skill and care.

    Description: Medicine has coined the concept of 'disease', but individual patients frequently present complicated cases marked by the coexistence of several conditions or syndromes. The doctor needs to reflect on this complexity because, in his daily practice, he has to address and resolve it for a correct management of the patient. This is why we must, with genuine humility, seek to share a journey in which there are no major landmarks. The authority of the various colleagues who have contributed the different chapters can offer elements of guidance that are useful in a series based on the leitmotif of the cornerstone concepts of complexity. My thanks to those who have accepted this challenge, in the sincere hope that it may enrich us – even just a little and by slow degrees – with an enhanced capacity to address the daily issue of the complexity of the sick.

    Chapter Frank Lloyd Wright: Models in Exhibitions (1932-1949) (2022)

    Description: The 43rd UID conference, held in Genova, takes up the theme of ‘Dialogues’ as practice and debate on many fundamental topics in our social life, especially in these complex and not yet resolved times. The city of Genova offers the opportunity to ponder on the value of comparison and on the possibilities for the community, naturally focused on the aspects that concern us, as professors, researchers, disseminators of knowledge, or on all the possibile meanings of the discipline of representation and its dialogue with ‘others’, which we have broadly catalogued in three macro areas: History, Semiotics, Science / Technology. Therefore, “dialogue” as a profitable exchange based on a common language, without which it is impossible to comprehend and understand one another; and the graphic sign that connotes the conference is the precise transcription of this concept: the title ‘translated’ into signs, derived from the visual alphabet designed for the visual identity of the UID since 2017. There are many topics which refer to three macro sessions: - Witnessing (signs and history) - Communicating (signs and semiotics) - Experimenting (signs and sciences) Thanks to the different points of view, an exceptional resource of our disciplinary area, we want to try to outline the prevailing theoretical-operational synergies, the collaborative lines of an instrumental nature, the recent updates of the repertoires of images that attest and nourish the relations among representation, history, semiotics, sciences.

    Description: Ancient linguistic reflection in India was able to combine the analysis of Sanskrit with the awareness that the language through which this analysis is conducted (Sanskrit) is different from the object it examines. Although this language-tool finds its dimension in the artificial Sanskrit of the sütras - the aphorisms of Påñini's grammar - metalinguistic discourse is not restricted to specialized discourse: common speech abounds in metalinguistic notations. The present work focuses on the testimonies of the grammatical school of Pâininian origin, by trying to retrace the course by which metalanguage left the field of naive linguistics to become an object of the school.

El periodo durante el cual gobernó al Archiduque rubio y barbado ha sido interpretado como ajeno, como un paréntesis en el desarrollo histórico nacional, producto exclusivamente de las ambiciones del emperador de los franceses y del Habsburgo segundón. El Imperio se pinta como una aventura espuria en la que a excepción de unos cuantos conservadores despechados, los mexicanos tuvieron muy poco que ver: antes bien el país entero olvidó sus antiguas disensiones para seguir las banderas de Patria y República que empuñaba Benito Juárez. Sin embargo, esta página romántica de la Historia Patria cuadra mal con la realidad de un régimen que si bien es cierto fue impuesto por las bayonetas francesa, también fue deseado, organizado y administrado por mexicanos. ¿Quiénes fueron estos? ¿Por qué colaboraron con el usurpador, adhiriéndose a un proyecto político que a posteriori parece absurdo? Al intentar dar respuesta a estas preguntas, esta obra intenta revalorar el episodio imperial como parte integral de la historia mexicana.

It was held from May to September 2016 in the Exhibition Hall of the Municipal Historical Archive in via dell'Oriuolo, Florence. The time covered by the exhibition ranges from the birth of the Royal University of Florence (1924) to the enactment of racial laws in Italy by Benito Mussolini’s government (1938). The exhibited material comes from the Municipality's Historical Archive, the Garbasso Archive, the Della Corte Fund, the Department of Physics and Astronomy, the Science and Technology Foundation and from private collections. The catalogue is published as the third volume of the series of publications associated with the magazine «Il Colle di Galileo».

    Description: Learning devices can be embedded into organizational contexts. Through them learning processes can be intentionally activated as to transform employees while working. Workplaces have their own learning potential due to their high level of structuring and regulation. Their learning potential transform organizational actors while they are in the productive actions. Identifying embedded learning processes helps in intercepting learning valencies of workplace experiences and observing learning actions that can lead to transformative processes. Results of related research activities are presented in the volume. They have been carried out in more than ten years of research implemented in three types of organisations: business, museum, prison. Research experiences are analysed by using a model of study that is based on the reconstruction of the learning processes as they are experienced by the actors considered. Moreover the model is based on the analysis of learning actions that are embedded into the productive and service provision processes. Factors and conditions are analysed as well through which organisations can act on employees transformation.

    Description: This book investigates the evolution of rusticated facings in perhaps one of the most significant contexts for their history, namely the architecture of the 15th century in Florence, where the development of this type of masonry intertwines with that of the buildings constructed over the century. Their main distinctive trait is naturalism, which in different shapes and degrees permeates every facing, thus becoming a sort of local inflection, which contaminates even the most up-to-date languages. The Florence renovatio of ancient architecture passes indeed from the masonries, as pointed out by many writings from that period, which describe their contemporary rusticated facings and compare them to the massif ancient opus quadratum. While accepting the lesson on magnificence by the Julio-Claudian rustication, Florence facings would never become a faithful reproduction of the Roman models, but would always retain traditional characters and patterns, constantly oscillating between an expressive freedom and a yearning for the rigour of form.

    Description: On 12, 13 and 14 May 2003 the second edition of the study days on didactic materials for the teaching of foreign languages was held in Florence. Numerous language teachers, mainly active in Italian universities but also in private and public high schools took part in these study days. The speakers addressed a wide range of issues ranging from the implications of the enlargement of the European Union to the educational use of new technologies, from aspects of contrastive linguistics to the use of foreign languages for the teaching of non-linguistic subjects. From this dialogue between different experiences and cultures, an extremely dynamic picture emerged, open to new methodological and scientific stimuli. The volume is the significant collection of over 40 interventions and represents a contribution to the discussion on the teaching of foreign languages.

    Description: This book contains the proceedings of the seminar held in Florence on 6 May 2011 within the framework of a research project of national scope funded by the Ministry of Education (MUIR). The principal inspiring aim is the quest for synergy between criminal law and administrative law in the activities aimed at fighting corruption. The 'final' interests damaged by corruption are fundamental (public safety, national economy), such as to demand the stigmatisation and efficacy inherent to the penal instrument. However, no less important is the prevention aspect recommended by the European and international institutions, which can be achieved through a real and effective reinforcement of administrative instruments, such as the prevention of conflicts of interest or the strengthening of the disciplinary system.

    Description: "From sign to sound" is a research project aimed to investigate some peculiar features of the musical reading with reference to instrumental performance. Its purpose is to extend the present knowledge about cognitive, musical, and pedagogical aspects of the subject, pointing out problematic issues and solutions significant for the young musicians' music performance education. The main study profile, which differentiates it from very few existing international studies on the subject, arises from the particular situation of the Latin countries (to which some other Latin American countries must be added) that adopted, starting from XIX century, the syllabic designation of notes, abandoning the alphabetic one. The aim of the research was to clarify a) the extent to which the outlined situation is widespread in Italian and European instrumental teaching, b) what are the prevailing opinions about it, and c) whether different perspectives can be found based on instrumental families or educational schools.

    Description: "Dal segno al suono" è un progetto di ricerca che indaga alcuni aspetti peculiari della lettura musicale riferiti specificamente all'esecuzione strumentale. Il suo scopo è ampliare le attuali conoscenze sugli aspetti cognitivi, musicali e pedagogici in materia, evidenziando problematiche e soluzioni significative per l'educazione all'esecuzione musicale dei giovani musicisti. Il profilo peculiare di questo studio, che lo differenzia da pochissimi studi internazionali esistenti sull'argomento, nasce dalla particolare situazione dei paesi latini (a cui vanno aggiunti alcuni paesi latinoamericani) che adottarono, a partire dal XIX secolo, la nominazione sillabica delle note, abbandonando quella alfabetica. Lo scopo della ricerca è stato quello di chiarire a) in che misura questa situazione si trova nella didattica strumentale italiana ed europea, b) quali sono le opinioni prevalenti in merito, e c) se si possono rintracciare prospettive diverse sulla base di famiglie strumentali o scuole pedagogiche differenti.

    Description: Entre los estudiosos de la historia colonial y aún de la republicana es común que la sola mención de la palabra resguardo se asocie con las tierras comunales de cultivo asignadas a las comunidades indígenas de la Nueva Granada durante el período colonial. El concepto de resguardo es incluso atípico dentro de la terminología colonial que se utilizó en el resto de Hispanoamérica, aunque no la asignación de tierras a las comunidades indígenas sometidas. En México, por ejemplo, existió este ordenamiento con el nombre de fundo legal. Esta era el área que rodeaba el caserío indígena, pertenecía a los barrios del respectivo pueblo y se dividía en parcelas individuales, que no eran de propiedad del comunero al que quedaban asignadas, pero que podían continuar en posesión de sus descendientes.

    Description: Detlef Heikamp's is one of the greatest scholars of the collections of historical pieces in Florence; to celebrate his 90th birthday, on the 10th an 11th November 2017, a study meeting dedicated to the birth of epigraphy as historical science was organised. The Uffizi Galleries were the ideal setting for such an initiative: there, starting from the 17th century, one of the most valuable Greek and Latin epigraphy collections was created, and it would deeply mark the evolution of this field of study; it is precisely to this institution which Detlef Heikamp decided to donate a precious selection of finds from his collection of inscriptions, in the aftermath of a disastrous attack in 1993.     Description: The 43rd UID conference, held in Genova, takes up the theme of ‘Dialogues’ as practice and debate on many fundamental topics in our social life, especially in these complex and not yet resolved times. The city of Genova offers the opportunity to ponder on the value of comparison and on the possibilities for the community, naturally focused on the aspects that concern us, as professors, researchers, disseminators of knowledge, or on all the possibile meanings of the discipline of representation and its dialogue with ‘others’, which we have broadly catalogued in three macro areas: History, Semiotics, Science / Technology. Therefore, “dialogue” as a profitable exchange based on a common language, without which it is impossible to comprehend and understand one another; and the graphic sign that connotes the conference is the precise transcription of this concept: the title ‘translated’ into signs, derived from the visual alphabet designed for the visual identity of the UID since 2017. In this collection there are five canovacci derived from Calderonian comedies; among them, we can find Il finto astrologo, whose source text is a famous cloak and sword play, El astrólogo fingido. The relationship between the comedy and the scenario will be studied, in particular as regards those sections of the Calderonian play that have been added and removed so as to conform it to the codes of commedia dell’arte.

The methods used were: the scientific, descriptive, experimental and statistical method. The research design was quasi-experimental with two research groups. The population was made up of teachers from secondary educational institutions in the province of Huancayo and the sample, made up of teachers from educational institutions: Salesiano Santa Rosa and Technical Salesian Don Bosco de Huancayo. The techniques used were: observation, survey and signing. In data processing and analysis techniques were used: descriptive and inferential statistics. The conclusion is: The application of coaching has a positive influence on the development of the teaching performance of teachers in the province of Huancayo.

Las técnicas utilizadas fueron: la observación, encuesta y el fichaje. En las técnicas de procesamiento y análisis de datos se utilizaron: la estadística descriptiva e inferencial. La conclusión es: La aplicación del coaching tiene influencia positiva en el desarrollo del desempeño docente de los profesores de la provincia de Huancayo.

    Description: En mayo de 1994, México se convirtió en el miembro número 25 de la Organización para la Cooperación y el Desarrollo Económicos (OCDE). Este acontecimiento fue sumamente controvertido tanto en el seno de la organización como al interior de nuestro país. La OCDE no había aceptado el ingreso de otros candidatos por más de veinte años y había concentrado sus actividades solamente entre sus miembros tradicionales. Asimismo, México se sumaba a lo que hasta entonces se consideraba como un "club exclusivo" que integraba a los países capitalistas más desarrollados del planeta ¿Cómo se desenvolvió el inicio de la participación de México en la OCDE y en qué momento ambos actores internacionales se hicieron convergentes? ¿De qué manera fue posible que una organización hermética, y que hallaba su identidad en una tajante división del mundo según los niveles de desarrollo de cada Estado, aceptase la membresía de un país de menor desarrollo relativo? ¿Bajo qué restricciones México se alineó a los objetivos y valores de la OCDE y qué consecuencias se fueron derivando de lo anterior? Finalmente, ¿cuáles han sido a lo largo del tiempo los costos y beneficios reales de la participación de un país como México en una organización como la OCDE, así como la posición e influencia que cada uno ha manejado con respecto al otro? La autora responde a estas preguntas a partir de una evaluación sobre la incidencia que de 1994 a 2002 ambos actores tuvieron tanto hacia su contraparte como hacia el contexto internacional en su conjunto.

    Description: The clear and complete relationship that historically linked city and countryside has gradually faded more and more, up to the configuration of the current situation of urban sprawl by several parties considered unsustainable at the environmental, functional and morphological level. While an approach aimed at recovering lost physical and territorial realities may not appear very effective, it is however possible to attempt to identify paths to restore structure in the contemporary settlement layouts. A structure able to newly weave ecological, functional, morphological and symbolic relations between the urban and rural dimension. In this frame of reference, a decisive role can be played by open spaces, non-built-up natural or farming environments which constitute a resource for regaining the environmental quality of the contemporary city; for the construction of a new large system of public and collective spaces; and for the redefinition of limits, boundaries and thresholds between city and countryside. These are the topics dealt with in the book through a theoretical focus on the "middle landscape", its roots and the more recent planning experiences, and through a planning exercise on the Pistoia landscape. The aim of the volume is to attempt to provide indications and tools in order to read and design landscape with urban boundaries, today a strategic sphere for the regeneration of the contemporary city.

Estas y otras preguntas son comunes en la cotidianidad académica, pues la escritura es un reto comunicativo constante en la vida de los estudiantes universitarios. A su vez, los docentes también deben enfrentarse constantemente a los desafíos que implica enseñar y evaluar a partir del texto escrito. Los capítulos consignados en Escritura en la universidad: redactar y enseñar textos académicos no solo buscan indagar en las diferentes tipologías textuales académicas, sino que son una guía para que tanto estudiantes como docentes puedan mejorar su rol dentro del proceso de enseñanza- aprendizaje.     Description: The essay analyses the changes in labour law by examining working places’ modifications induced by the most meaningful driver: technology. In this perspective, the authors point out three macro scenarios. The first relates to industry 4.0 and to the notion of “cognitive enterprise”. This could, or should, act as a magnet model considering its social and organizational positive consequences. The second is the traditional work organization re-considered in the light of new technologies’ impact; it generates a kind of neo digital Fordism, as does the Amazon model in the logistic sector. The third scenario is linked to the rise of the gig economic, with its “workers on tap” (i.e. the platform economy with the algorithm as a boss). These different scenarios, even if characterised by blurred borders, imply the need to think of Labour law differently than in the past. Beyond its traditional protective function, there should be a promotional one, aimed at developing capabilities and positive liberties of the person in the workplace. In the face of this three-fold dimension of the workplaces and of the expansion of Labour law functions, it is also necessary to rethink its techniques and principles. In that sense, the authors propose a different regulatory perspective: no more rigid and uniform rules, as happened in the “short century”, but a regulation made by differentiation, adaptations, extensions, dilutions. With a unifying value: the reference to the individual, to her/his life project, and ultimately to her/his dignity.
