Description / Table of Contents: The half-wave potentials of p-fluoro-, p-bromo- and p-chloro-diphenyl-diphenyl chromium(I) iodide are communicated and compared with those of the corresponding halogen-free complexes and of halogeno-substituted ferrocenes.
Notes: Es werden die Halbstufenpotentiale von p-Fluordiphenyl-diphenyl-chrom(I)-, p-Chlordiphenyl-diphenyl-chrom(I)- und p-Bromdiphenyl-diphenyl-chrom(I)-jodid beschrieben, den unsubstituierten Komplextypen gegenübergestellt und mit halogensubstituierten Ferrocenen verglichen.

Description / Table of Contents: The electron density distribution of certain coordination compounds can be estimated from polarographic data by means of the method of small constitution-variations.In chromium complexes with sandwich structure, the highest occupied orbital is a molecular orbital being preponderantly localized at the chromium atom.

Description / Table of Contents: The decomposition of cobaltcarbonyl Co2(CO)8 in solution containing various complexforming species was studied. The over-all-rate of the decomposition can be described by the equation R = Σ k1 [X1][Co2(CO)8].According to this equation the rate-determining step is a reaction of the carbonyl molecule with complex-forming species in the solution. On the basis of kinetic measurements a possible mechanism is proposed, which fullfills all the experimental results.

Description / Table of Contents: Bis-diphenyl-chromium(I) iodide can be only reduced by NaBH4 in the presence of trace amounts of [Co(dipy)3]Cl2 which acts catalytically via electron transfer by the redox system CoII/CoI. The reduction mechanism is studied polarographically.
