Description: A taxonomic revision of the Hybosorine genera Microphaeochroops Pic, Microphaeolodes Kuijten, Mimocoelodes Pic, Pantolasius Lansberge and Phaeochridius Lansberge is given. Microphaeochroops nigrosetosus, Microphaeochroops varius, Microphaeolodes mulumontis and Pantolasius bandaharae are proposed as new species, and Microphaeolodes as a new genus. Lectotypes are designated for Microphaeochroops peninsularis Arrow, Phaeochridius derasus (Harold) and Phaeochridius haroldi Fairmaire. Phaeochridius haroldi Fairmaire is synonymized with Phaeochridius derasus (Harold); Phaeochridius benderitteri Pic and Phaeochridius cinereicollis Arrow are synonymized with Phaeochridius uniformis Arrow.

Description: A revision of the Indo-Australian species and notes on the African species of Phaeochrous are given. Nine new species and three new subspecies are described, viz., Phaeochrous australicus (Australia), compactus (Sri Lanka), elevatus (South India, Sri Lanka), enigmaticus (Java, Bangla Desh, China), lobatus (Philippines), madrassicus (South India), pletus (Timor), portuum (Papua New Guinea), pseudintermedius (Vietnam, South China), P. dissimilis subsp. vietnamicola (Vietnam, South China), emarginatus subsp. buruensis (Moluccas), intermedius subsp. occidentalis (North India, Bhutan).\nA neotype for Phaeochrous emarginatus Castelnau is designated. Two species hitherto considered synonyms of P. emarginatus are recognized as species and subspecies respectively, viz., P. intermedius Pic and P. emarginatus subsp. davidis Fairmaire. Eight species are considered synonyms of P. emarginatus, viz., sumatrensis (Westwood) (lectotype\nhere designated), hirtipes (Macleay) (lectotype here designated), alternatus Fairmaire, asiaticus Lewis (lectotype here designated), pallidus Arrow, celebensis Pic, perroudi Pic, gracilis Petrovitz - the last five are new synonymies. Three species, viz., P. suturalis Lansberge, davidis Fairmaire and benderitteri Pic, are considered subspecies of emarginatus. The status of P. dubius (Westwood), indicus (Westwood), ruficollis Fairmaire, rugosicollis Benderitter, rufus Pic and tonkineus Pic remains doubtful. Phaeochrous nanus Arrow is excluded from Phaeochrous.\nFigures of male genitalia of all species and subspecies, a key and some notes on bionomics, are given. Phaeochrous laeviceps Fairmaire and tenuepunctatus Fairmaire are removed from the list of African species, being no Phaeochrous, and the synonymization of P. insularis Linell with laeviceps is deleted.

Description: Rutelarcha, Lutera and Cyphelytra are restated as genera, in the subtribus Rutelina; Arrow (1917) considered them synonyms of Parastasia, in the Parastasiina. Machatschke\'s (1972) new name Parastasia pauliana for Parastasia nigromaculata (Ohaus) (= Lutera) therefore is superfluous, and merged into synonymy. Lectotypes are designated for Cyphelytra ochracea and Rutelarcha quadrimaculata. The genera and species are diagnosed in a table, keys and descriptions, and some diagnostic characters are figured.

Description: A revision is presented of the species in the genus Parastasia. All known species are described, 11 new species are established, the parameres of most species are figured, the taxonomic levels of several taxa are changed, and 21 new synonymies are proposed. For many taxa lectotypes are designated and many specimens bearing incorrect or dubious type labels are degraded to their true status. Some aspects of distribution and dispersal are shortly discussed. A tentative key and a check list are added.
