By reaction of triorgano-chloro-silanes, (X—C6H4)3SiCl (X = H, CH3, F, Cl, Br), with oxalic acid we succeeded in preparing the bis(triorganosilyl)-oxalates (X—C6H4)3Si—C2O4—Si(C6H4—X)3 with X = H, CH3, Br. Their thermal stabilities were investigated and correlated to the effects of substituents.

Durch Umsetzung von Triorgano-chlor-silanen (X—C6H4)3SiCl (X = H, CH3, F, Cl, Br) mit Oxalsäure gelang es, folgende Bis(triorgano-silyl)-oxalate (X—C6H4)3Si—C2O4—Si(C6H4—X)3 (X = H, CH3, Br) darzustellen. Ihre thermische Stabilität wurde untersucht und in Beziehung zu den Substituenten-Einflüssen gebracht.
