    Notes: Bei der alkalischen Hydrolyse des 1.2;5.6-Dianhydro-3.4-isopropyliden-D-mannits (I), -D-sorbits (II) und -L-idits (III) bilden sich neben den entsprechenden 3.4-Isopropyliden-hexiten, wie wir annehmen ohne Konfigurationsänderung, auch 1.6-Anhydro-3.4-isopropyliden-hexite (VII, VIII, IX), welche nach Entfernung der Isopropyliden-Gruppe kristallisierte 1.6-Anhydro-hexite liefern (X, XI, XII). Die bei der Bildung von VII, VIII und IX beobachteten sehr unterschiedlichen Ausbeuten lassen sich durch stereochemische Faktoren erklären. Die Hydrolyse der Diepoxyde I, II und III mit verd. Schwefelsäure führt außer zu Hexiten ebenfalls zu Anhydrohexiten, welche aber mit X, XI und XII nicht identisch sind. Das D-Sorbit-Derivat II liefert 2.5-Anhydro-L-idit.

    Notes: Ferriciniumsalze lassen sich auch in saurem Medium nur mit geringer Ausbeute cyanieren, besser mit flüss. Blausäure in Tetrahydrofuran. Das Ferrocen-carbon-säurenitril entsteht aber in 80-proz. Ausb., wenn man das Ferriciniumsalz durch Ferrocen und FeCl3 ersetzt. Bei der gleichen Reaktion mit Alkylferrocen tritt die CN-Gruppe in den substituierten Cyclopentadienyl-Ring; sie sucht den unsubstituierten Ring auf, wenn man vom Monochlorferrocen oder Ferrocen-carbonsäurenitril ausgeht.

Galanthamin wird durch Mineralsäuren verschiedener Konzentration stufenweise bis zum Apogalanthamin abgebaut. Als erstes Abbauprodukt wird 2-Hydroxy-4.5-epoxy-6-O-methyl-tetrahydroapogalanthamin isoliert.

    Description / Table of Contents: The size of crystallites of oxide, formed by thermal decomposition of MgCO3 or CaCO3, depends from the temperature and the CO2 pressure during the formation. The crystallite size obtained under certain conditions is a result of the superposition of the rate of formation of nuclei on the carbonate surface and the rate of growth of the oxide particles. It is postulated that the oxide nucleation is the rate determining step of the process.Dissolving the oxide does not change the reaction valocity and therefore the decrease of the reaction velocity cannot be caused by a delaying action of the oxide layer but results from the decrease of the carbonate surface and from tho different reactivity of the carbonate crystals.
    Notes: Aus der CO2-Druckabhängigkeit der Größe der beim thermischen Abbau von Magnesium-(bzw. Calcium-) Carbonat entstehenden Oxydkristalle kann gefolgert werden, daß die Keimbildung auf der Carbonatoberfläche geschwindigkeitsbestimmend ist. Aus dem Verhältnis der Keimbildungsgeschwindigkeit zur Wachstumsgeschwindigkeit der Kristalle ergibt sich eine für die jeweiligen Abbaubedingungen (CO2-Druck, Temperatur) charakteristische Größe der Oxydkristalle.Die rasche Abnahme der Reaktionsgeschwindigkeit bei der thermischen Zersetzung von MgCO3 mit steigendem Umsatz ist nicht auf die hemmende Wirkung der bei der Reaktion entstehenden Oxydschicht zurückzuführen. Nach Ablösen dieser Schicht verläuft die Reaktion gleich schnell wie vorher. Der Abfall der Geschwindigkeit mit steigendem Umsatz rührt außer von der Abnahme der Carbonatoberfläche auch von der verschiedenen Reaktionsbereitschaft der einzelnen Carbonatteilchen her.
