Contents Conductor spans in outdoor substations undergo complicated movements in case of a short-circuit. These cause additional conductor tension forces stressing the suspension of the span and a reduction of the conductor clearances and the insulation level of the substation. These effects can be determined numerically for most of the usual configurations by means of the finite difference equation. At the same quality of the results at a largly reduced expense this approach is an economical alternative to the applications employing the finite elements technique.

Übersicht Die Seilspannfelder von Schaltanlagen führen im Kurzschlußfall komplizierte Bewegungsvorgänge aus, die zum einen durch zusätzliche Seilzugkräfte die Aufhängepunkte beanspruchen, zum anderen die Leiterabstände und damit die Anlagenisolation reduzieren. Diese Vorgänge lassen sich bei vielen der üblichen Anordnungen nach der Methode der finiten Differenzen numerisch bestimmen, was mit gleicher Ergebnisqualität bei deutlich reduziertem Aufwand eine wirtschaftliche Alternative zur Anwendung von Großprogrammen nach der Methode der finiten Elemente darstellt.
