Contents Phenomena of travelling waves in transmission line systems are unambiguously determined by quasistationary equivalent circuits (excepting one unsubstantial restriction) and therefore calculable by them, if the transmission lines are distortionless or of low losses and if the equipments in the junction points of the system could be regarded as punctiform in good approximation. The number of the equivalent circuits, which are necessary for the calculation, is equal to the number of the junction points of the line system. Each of the equivalent circuits consists of the quasistationary network in the junction point and the “wave-equivalent-twopole-sources”, which represent those waves running towards the sets of terminals of the network.

Übersicht Wanderwellenvorgänge in Leitungsnetzen sind (abgesehen von einer unwesentlichen Einschränkung) durch quasistationäre Ersatzschaltungen eindeutig bestimmt und damit aus diesen berechenbar, wenn die Leitungen verzerrungsfrei oder verlustarm sind und die Anordnungen in den Knotenpunkten des Netzes in ausreichender Näherung als punktförmig angesehen werden können. Die Anzahl der zur Berechnung notwendigen Ersatzschaltungen ist gleich der Zahl der Knotenpunkte des Leitungsnetzes. Jede Ersatzschaltung besteht aus dem in dem Knotenpunkt befindlichen quasistationären Netzwerk und den «Wellen-Ersatzzweipolquellen», die die auf die einzelnen Klemmenpaare des Netzwerks zulaufenden Wellen zum Ausdruck bringen.
