Conclusions 1. The Dubinin-Stoeckli (DS) adsorption equation of the theory of volume filling of micropores, and also the corresponding two-term equation, describe with satisfactory accuracy the isotherms for adsorption of vapors by microporous carbon adsorbents over a broad range of equilibrium relative pressures. 2. On the basis of the elementary concepts of probability theory, an experimental method has been proposed, and justified, for calculating the parameters of the D adsorption equation, with good accuracy, on the basis of the parameters of the two-term equation of the theory of volume filling of micropores. 3. The subdivision of micropore of carbon adsorbents into two varieties, i.e., true micropores and supermicropores, is not arbitrary, rather being related to the character of the size distribution of micropore volume.
