Conclusions

  1. 1.

Ways of expressing nonuniformity of adsorbent carbon micropore structure via the normal (Gaussian) distribution of micropore volume by pore size have been considered from the viewpoint of the theory of volumetric filling of micropores during adsorption.

  2. 2.

In contrast to the Dubinin-Radushkevich-Stoeckli equation, an adsorption equation that starts directly from micropore distribution by pore size is characterized by parameters that have realistic physical values.

  3. 3.

Calculated results of micropore volume distribution by size and of the geometrical surface area of mieropore walls have been evaluated using the experimental adsorption isotherms of the standard benzene vapor.
