Oxides of 1,2,3-Thiadiazoles, VI. - Photochemical Fragmentation of 1,2,3-Thiadiazole 1,1,3-TrioxidesPhotolysis of 1,2,3-thiadiazole 1,1,3-trioxides 4 leads via rearrangement and fragmentation to the nitriles 5 and the 1,3,2,4-dioxathiazole 2-oxides 6 ≡ 15. On thermal elimination of SO2 in the presence of water 15 yields the hydroxamic acids 8 or, at elevated temperatures, the urea derivatives 9.

Die Photolyse der 1,2,3-Thiadiazol-1,2,3-trioxide 4 führt über Gerüstumlagerungen zur Fragmentierung in die Nitrile 5 und die 1,3,2,4-Dioxathiazol-2-oxide 6 ≡ 15. Durch thermische SO2-Cycloeliminierung erhält man aus 15 in Gegenwart von Wasser die Hydroxamsäuren 8, bei höherer Temperatur die Harnstoffderivate 9.
