Syntheses of DiiodoacetamidesThe preparation and properties of N-substituted diiodoacetamides, obtained by degradation of 2,6-dioxocyclohexanecarboxamides or acetoacetamides with sodium hypoiodite, are described. The usefulness of the new preparative method is demonstrated by the synthesis of the hitherto unknown “iodoamphenicol”.

Darstellung und Eigenschaften N-substituierter Dijodacetamide, erhalten durch Abbau von 2,6-Dioxocyclohexancarboxamiden oder Acetoacetamiden mit Natriumhypojodit, werden beschrieben. Der Wert der neuen Synthesemethode wird durch die Herstellung des bisher unbekannten “Jodamphenicols” belegt.
