Brown spots were observed on the rind of fruit and foliage of Minneola tangelo (Citrus reticulata C. paradisi) for the first time in Israel. The causal organism was isolated in culture and identified as Alternaria alternata, citrus pathotype. Typical disease symptoms were produced on inoculated leaves and fruit.
