An overview on the variation of the magnetic properties, the grain size, the structure, and the heat of crystallization in the amorphous-crystalline state transition of single-domain metal particles depending on the element metals, boron, and the hydrogen contents is presented. The existence of the two types of chains of spheres, constituted from similar single-domain particles, prepared with and without dc magnetic field, is discussed. The differences between these two kinds of chains are explained by measurements of the sizes and shapes of the voids, the magnetic properties, the heat of crystallization, the rate of a gaseous nitrogenation, the press densities, and Mössbauer spectra of the samples. The essentially different states of the one single-domain particle and the complex of single-domain particles in the chains are discussed according to the application of the powders.
