The influence of the External and Electrolytic Resistances on the Functioning of Electrochemical model ElementsThe manner in which the resistances of the external circuit and of the electrolytes influence the potential of the cathode, terminal voltage, etc., are described. The article concludes with a description of a method of plotting current - voltage curves in electrolytes of low a variation in the conductivity. Attention is also drawn to a variation in the conditions necessary to obtain a correct ratio between the current and the substance whose identity is to be determined, which causes the arrangement of the elements to be independent of the salt content of the solution.

Es wird dargestellt, wie die Widerstände im äußeren Stromkreis und im Elektrolyten die Potentiallage der Kathode, die Klemmspannung und ähnliche Größen beeinflusst. Abschließend wird ein Weg zur Aufnahme von Strom-Spannungskurven in Elektrolyten mit geringer Leitfähigkeit gegeben und auf eine Variation der Bedingungen zur Erzielung von Porportionalität zwischen Strom und zu bestimmenden Stoff hingewiesen, die die Elementanordnung gleichzeitig in weitem Maße von dem Salzgehalt der Lösung unabhängig macht.
