Contributions to the Chemistry of Phosphorus, 206. - The Cyclic Silaphosphanes (tBuSi)4P2Cl6, (tBuSiP)4H2Cl2, and (tBuSiP)4HC1 - Precursors of the Silaphosphacubane (tBuSiP)4The reaction of tBuSiCl3 with LiAl(PH2)4 yields the silaphosphacubane 2. Besides the compounds 1,3, and 4, which were already identified, three additional silaphosphanes (tBuSi)4-P2Cl6 (5), (tBuSiP)4H2Cl2 (6), and (tBuSiP)4HCl (7) have been found representing precursors of 2. According to NMR spectroscopic investigations, 5, is a derivative of 1,3-diphospha-2,4-disiletane, whereas 6 and 7 exhibit a structure analogous to norcubane and secocubane, respectively. The compounds 3 - 7 reveal the reaction pathway from 1 to 2.
