Notes:
The decomposition of hydrogen peroxide by a polymer complex of Fe3+ and poly(acrylic acid) partially amidated by diethylenetriamine has been studied. The molecular mechanism of catalysis is discussed. The rate constant of the reaction is k = 6.9 × 107 exp {-2.300/RT}. Decomposition of hydrogen peroxide proceeds via activation by the diethylenetriamine which is a cofactor.
