Summary The fallow deer population re-introduced into the region of Hakel was investigated using linear discrimination functions for the influence of 2 original populations. The dominating influence of one particular buck which in the first years bred with all females could be clearly proven.
Abstract:
Résumé La souche de daims récemment introduite dans le territoire de Hakel a été analysée, au moyen de fonctions linéaires discriminantes, quant à l'influence des deux populations dont elle est issue. L'influence déterminante d'un daim mâle, qui a sailli toutes les daines au cours de la première année, a pu être mise en évidence de façon nette.

Zusammenfassung Der im Gebiet Hakel wiedereingebürgerte Damwildbestand wird hinsichtlich des Einflusses von 2 Populationen, aus denen das Ausgangsmaterial stammt, mit Hilfe linearer Diskriminanzfunktionen geprüft. Der überragende Einfluß eines Schauflers, der alle weiblichen Tiere in den ersten Jahren beschlug, konnte deutlich nachgewiesen werden.
