On the Desulfuration Tendency of 2-Phenyl- and 2-Benzyl-1,3,4-thiadiazinesThiobenzoic and phenylthioacetic acid hydrazide react with α-haloketones to yield 2-phenyl- and 2-benzyl-1,3,4-thiadiazines. Under certain conditions 5-hydroxy-4,5-dihydro-1,3,4-thiadiazines are isolated as intermediate products. In dependence on the nature and position of the substituents, the 1,3,4-thiadiazines are converted with elimination of sulfur more or less easily into corresponding pyrazoles.

Thiobenz- und Phenylthioessigsäurehydrazid reagieren mit α-Halogen-ketonen zu 2-Phenyl- und 2-Benzyl-1,3,4-thiadiazinen. Unter geeigneten Bedingungen lassen sich dabei 5-Hydroxy-4,5-dihydro-1,3,4-thiadiazine als Zwischenprodukte isolieren. In Abhängigkeit von der Art und der Stellung der Substituenten werden aus dem 1,3,4-Thiadiazin-Ringsystem unter Eliminierung von Schwefel mehr oder minder leicht entsprechende Pyrazol-Derivate gebildet.
