    Description / Table of Contents: Contents The eddy current distribution in the deep bars of the rotor complicates the evaluation of the transients. Although the eddy currents effects are described by partial differential equations, a suitable equivalent circuit of the machine with lumped constants can be derived by means of expansion into partial fractions of the deep bar admittance expressed in the operator domain. The wedge shaped cross section of the deep bar was substituted by a ring segment. For such conductor the deep bar admittance obtained from the solution of Neumann's boundary value problem is known. The numerically cvaluated roots of the denominator of the deep bar admittance enable to determine the electromagnetic parameters in the equivalent circuit. The equivalent circuit of the deep bar is composed of parallel connectedR, L twopoles. As approximation one obtains the equivalent circuit composed of a limited number of circuits with lumpedR, L elements. Consequently the induction machine is approximatively substituted by a multicage rotor machine. The accuracy of the representation was estimated by means of the frequency plot of the deep bar admittance and of the induction machine. The electromagneticalR, L parameters were expressed in table-and diagramm-form for various shape factors of the deep bar conductor.
    Notes: Übersicht Die Stromverdrängung in den Läuferkeilstäben kompliziert die Erfassung von transienten Vorgängen der Induktionsmaschine. Obwohl die Stromverdrängung durch partielle Differentialgleichungen beschrieben wird, kann man eine Ersatzschaltung der Maschine mit konzentrierten Konstanten herleiten. Das erfolgt durch die Partialbruchzerlegung der im Operatorenbereich gefundenen meromorphen Hochstab-Admittanz. Der trapezförmige Hochstabquerschnitt wird ersetzt durch ein Ringsegment. Für diesen Querschnitt ist die Hochstab-Admittanz aus der Lösung des Neumannschen Randwert-problems bekannt. Von den numerisch ermittelten Nullstellen des durch transzendente Besselsche Funktionen ausgedrückten Nenners der Hochstab-Admittanz, kann man die elektromagnetischen Parameter in der Ersatzschaltung des Keilstabes ermitteln. Der Keilstab wird durch ein Bündel von parallelenR, L Zweipolen abgebildet. Als Näherung erscheint in der Ersatzschaltung eine endliche Anzahl von Stromkreisen, die aus konzentriertenR, L Bestimmungsstücken bestehen. Somit wird die Maschine als eine Mehrfachkäfigläufermaschine annähernd abgebildet. Die Beurteilung der Näherungsgenauigkeit erfolgt auf Grund der Frequenzkennlinie der Admittanz des Hochstabes und der Induktionsmaschine. DieR, L Bestimmungsstücke wurden in Tabellen- und Diagramm-Form für verschiedenes Seitenverhältnis des Keilstabes ausgedrückt.

    Notes: Abstract Permethylcyclopolysilanes are most often prepared by Würtz-type coupling of Me2SiCl2 with Na K alloy in THI: When nonpolar solvents like benzene were used, only linear polysilanes (Me2Si)n were produced, but the addition of a catalytic amount of crown ether 18-crown-6 was found to increase significantly the amount of cyclic oligomers. The ratio of (Me2Si)6 to (Me2Si)5 decreased from 18:1 to 6:1 in the presence of crown ether in a typical synthesis in THF. An explanation based on solvated electron theory has been proposed.

    Notes: Abstract The deviation from tetrahedral configuration at the silicon atom has been studied by modified EHT calculations. The geometry and energy of spiranes M(S2C2H4)2, M=C, Si were optimized with bond lengths constrained at experimental values starting from experimental or assumed geometry. Additionally Si(SR)4, R=H, CH3 as model compounds, have been studied with EHT. Full geometry optimizations with MM2 were also carried out for spiranes M(E2C2R4)2 and M(E2C2H2)2, M=C, Si, Ge, E = O, S, Se and R=H, CH3. The performed MM2 calculations gave no evidence for significant deviation from the ideal spiro configuration. The EHT calculations, on the other hand, show that D2 conformers of Si(S2C2H4)2 and Si(SR)4 are the most stable in somewhat distorted conformation because of the operation of an anomeric effect. The anomeric interactions in S4 conformers do not cause those spiro angle deviations. The energy differences between D2 and S4 conformers are small. The existence of S4 conformers has been predicted in vapor phase by comparison of the observed and calculated splittings of lone pair ionization potentials.
