    Notes: Abstract Patasson lameerei Debauche development from egg to adult emergence onSitona hispidulus (Fabricius) eggs at 7.2, 10.0, 15.6, 21.1 and 26.7°C required 154.1, 75.4, 24.3, 17.6, and 12.9 days for females and 147.3, 61.0, 23.4, 15.4, and 11.6 for males, respectively. At 21.1°C the optimal age ofS. hispidulus eggs for parasitism byP. lameerei was 2 days, with effective parasitism occurring on eggs ranging from 1 to 4 days old.

    Description / Table of Contents: Résumé Des observations, des mesures linéaires, des dissections et préparations histologiques ont été faites, tous les jours, sur des larves du charançon de la luzerne,Hypera postica (Gyllenhal). La période de développement observée a commencé 24 h après l'oviposition parBathyplectes curculionis (Thomson) ouB. anurus (Thomson) et duré jusqu'à ce que les larves parasites soient sorties de leurs hôtes. Les parasites à l'état adulte et larvaire ont altéré la croissance et le développement des larves deH. postica de façon significativee.B. curculionis etB. anurus ont provoqué chez les larves hôtes un taux de mortalité prématurée de 24 à 29% supérieur à celui observé chez les larves non parasitées. Durant les 12 premiers jours, le taux de développement a été essentiellement le même pour les larves parasitées et non parasitées. Les larves non parasitées ont atteint leur taille maximale entre les 17e et 18e jours, tandis que les larves parasitées parB. curculionis etB. anurus ont nécessité, respectivement, de 14 à 21 jours et de 19 à 22 jours. Les larves parasitées parB. curculionis sont, en longueur et largeur totales ainsi qu'en largeur des capsules céphaliques, plus petites que les larves non parasitées et celles parasitées parB. anurus.
    Notes: Abstract Observations, linear measurements, dissections, and histological preparations were made of parasitized and nonparasitized larvae of the alfalfa weevil,Hypera postica (Gyllenhal), on a daily basis. The observed developmental period lasted from 24 h after oviposition byBathyplectes curculionis (Thomson) orBathyplectes anurus (Thomson) until parasite larvae emerged from their hosts. Adult and larval parasites significantly altered growth and development ofH. postica larvae.B. curculionis andB. anurus caused 24 and 29% greater premature mortality in young host larvae than that observed in the unparasitized controls. Rate of development for parasitized larvae during the 1st 12 days was essentially the same as for nonparasitized larvae. Nonparasitized larvae reached maximum size in 17–18 days, whereas larvae parasitized byB. curculionis andB. anurus required 14–21 and 19–22 days, respectively. Larvae parasitized byB. curculionis are smaller in overall lengths, widths and head capsule widths than nonparasitized larvae and those parasitized byB. anurus.

UtilisantMyzus persicae (Sulzer) comme hôte, la production de progéniture par parasite femelle et la survie du stade cocon au stade adulte sont étudiées à des températures constantes de 10°, 12,8°, 15,6°, 18,3°, 21°, 24°, 26,7°, 29,5° et 32°C. Le plus grand nombre de progéniture (392) est produit à 21°C. Les températures optimales pour la production de progéniture et la survie des parasites au stade cocon se situent entre 12,8°C et 21°C. La longévité des parasites adultes mâles et femelles diminue lorsque les températures augmentent et les parasites mâles ont une durée de vie largement supérieure à celle des femelles (P〈0,05) à 10° et 15,6°C.
    Notes: Abstract The courtship, mating and ovipositional behavior ofA. matricariae Haliday were studied. UsingMyzus persicae (Sulzer) as the host, the production of progeny per female parasite and survival from mummy stage to the adult were studied at constant temperatures of 10°, 12.8°, 15.6°, 18.3°, 21°, 24°, 26.7°, 29.5° and 32°C. The longevity of male and female parasites was determined at temperatures of 7°, 10°, 15.6°, 21°, 26.7°, 29.5° and 32°C. The greatest number of progeny (392) was produced at 21°C. The optimal temperatures for production of progeny and survival of the parasites during the mummy stage were from 12.8°C to 21°C. The longevity of male and female adult parasites decreased as temperatures increased and male parasites lived significantly (P〈0.05) longer than females at 10° and 15.6°C.
