Notes:
The sedimentation velocity of multiparticle suspensions was investigated experimentally for cases where the column wall is likely to have a nonnegligible effect. The experiments demonstrate that the container wall diameter influeces the falling velocity only for dilute systems, which is in contrast with a widely used, established empirical relationship.
