Article Hydrogen peroxide attracts immune cells and induces wound inflammation. Evans et al . show that hydrogen peroxide also leads to the production of thymosin β4–sulfoxide in zebrafish wounds and in mouse hearts after myocardial infarction, where it acts as an anti-inflammatory factor that promotes wound healing.
