Si considerano il reticolo di Toda ed un reticolo di tipo Coulomb sia in presenza che in assenza di difetti.
    Abstract: Резюме Используя процедуру численных вычислеий, исследуются эффекты распространения импульсов (солитонов или квази-солитонов) в одномерных нелинейных цепях. Обсуждаются и сравниваются численные редультаты, относящиеся к решетке тода и решетке кулоновского типа. Мы рассматриваем решетки с и вез дефектов.
    Notes: Summary Several numerical computations are carried out to investigate the effects of the propagation of pulses (solitons and quasi-solitons) in one-dimensional nonlinear chains. Numerical results concerning the Toda lattice and a Coulomb-like lattice are discussed and compared. We consider lattices both with and without defects.

    Description / Table of Contents: Riassunto Si calcola analiticamente il guadagno di piccolo segnale per un laser ad elettroni liberi in cui il fascio di eletroni ha sia un «spread» in energia che uno «spread» angolare. Si trova che il guadagno è sostanzialmente ridotto a causa della presenza dello «spread» angolare nella regione di non saturazione, mentre esso rimane praticamente lo stesso nella regione di saturazione.
    Abstract: Реюме Мы аналитически вычисляем усиление малого сигнала для лазера на свободных электронах с электронным пучком, имеющим энергетический и угловой разброс. Мы получаем, что усиление существенно уменьшается из-за наличня углового разброса в ненасыщенной области, и практически остается тем Зе самым в области насыщения.
    Notes: Summary We perform analytically the calculation of the small signal gain for a free-electron laser with an electron beam having both energy and angular spread. We obtain that the gain is substantially reduced by the presence of the angular spread in the nonsaturation region, whilst it remains about the same in the saturation region.

    Notes: We present the experimental results and the theoretical analysis of the discharge impedance and the output performance of an UV preionized XeCl laser. During the breakdown the discharge impedance is time dependent and its value changes as the preionizator changes position. By fitting the experimental results to the results obtained by the equation of the discharge electrical circuit, it is possible to get exactly the electric element values which simulates the discharge impedance. These results are very important to design driving circuit devices which must have an output impedance very close to the laser discharge impedances in order to improve the impedance matching. Papers, which report laser behavior analysis, have utilized laser systems having a fixed preionizator position. In this work, we have found that the laser characteristics, in particular the laser discharge impedance and the output energy, changes as the preionization position changes.

    Notes: The three-wave resonant interaction equations (2D-3WR) in two spatial and one temporal dimension within a group framework are analyzed. The symmetry algebra of this system, which turns out to be an infinite-dimensional Lie algebra whose subalgebra is of the Kac–Moody type, is found. The one- and two-dimensional symmetry subalgebras are classified and the corresponding reduction equations are obtained. From these the new invariant and the partially invariant solutions of the original 2D-3WR equations are obtained.

    Notes: The gauge equivalence between a noncompact version of the Ishimori spin model and the Davey–Stewartson equation is established. Explicit relationships connecting the corresponding two sets of fields involved in these systems are obtained via any pair of complex functions satisfying an equation of the Schrödinger type for a free particle. Using these formulas, two examples of classes of nontrivial exact singular solutions to the Davey–Stewartson equation are given. One of them is of the closed stringlike type, while the other is doubly periodic and is expressed in terms of Riemann theta functions. The role played by the symmetry group associated with the gauge equivalent equations under consideration is also clarified.

    Notes: With the purpose of clarifying some aspects of the complete integrability of nonlinear field equations, a singular-point analysis is performed of the Davey–Stewartson system, which can be considered as an extension in 2+1 dimensions of the nonlinear Schrödinger equation. It is found that the system under consideration possesses the Painlevé property and allows a set of Bäcklund transformations obtained by truncating the series expansions of the solutions about the singularity manifold.

    Notes: In this paper the classical theory of the transverse optical klystron is presented. The gain is obtained by solving analytically the Vlasov equation which governs the evolution of the electron beam along the undulator magnet. The initial energy distribution of the electron beam is assumed gaussian. Both the small signal and the saturation regime are investigated.

    Notes: Abstract The Estabrook-Wahlquist prolongation method is applied to the (compact and noncompact) continuous isotropic Heisenberg model in 1 + 1 dimensions. Using a special realization (an algebra of the Kac-Moody type) of the arising incomplete prolongation Lie algebra, a whole family of nonlinear field equations containing the original Heisenberg system is generated.

    Notes: Abstract We carry out a systematic analysis of the Toda lattice equations developing a method which extends the symmetry approach formalism to discrete one-dimensional systems. We find a hereditary operator which admits a symplectic-implectic factorization. As a consequence of this property, we derive the Hamiltonian and the bi-Hamiltonian structure, together with the constants of motion and a set of infinitely-many commuting Lie-Bäcklund symmetries of the Toda chain.
