    Description / Table of Contents: By means of lab scale studies and electrochemical potential measurements it was shown that by selective flocculation using combinations of low molecular anionic polyelektrolytes and high molecular flocculants a coal slurry can be separated into a high ash content slurry and a thickened coal sludge. The dispersed matter contains almost only ultrafine mineral particles of high ash content. The flocculated coal particles which are virtually free of ultrafine mineral can now be treated in a highly efficient flotation step and dewatered to rather low water contents on vacuum filters.
    Notes: Anhand von verfahrenstechnischen Versuchen und elektrochemischen Potentialmessungen konnte nachgewiesen werden, daß mit Hilfe selektiv wirkender Flockung durch kombinierten Einsatz von niedrigmolekularen stark anionschen Polyelektrolyten und hochmolkularen wasserlöslichen Polymeren Kohleschlamm-Suspensionen in eine Mineralstoffdispersion und in einen stark eingedickten Kohlebrei getrennt werden können. Der dispergierte Trübenteil enthält fast ausschließlich ultrfeine Mineralstoffpartikel mit hohem Aschegehalt. Die geflockten und vom feinsten Mineral stoff befreiten Kohlepartikel können nun mit hoher Trennschärfe flotiert und anschließend auf relative niedrige Wassergehalte durch Vakuumfiltration entwässert werden.

Syntheses of Unsymmetrical 1,4,7-TriketonesThiazolium salt catalysed additions of aldehydes to vinyl diketones (1-4, 10-12) lead to unsymmetrical 1,4,7-triketones (13-26). The vinyl diketones were obtained by addition of 2-formylnorbornene to alkyl vinyl ketones (30-32) followed by pyrolysis, the latter by the reaction of 2-cyanonorbornene with alkylmagnesium halides followed by hydrolysis and pyrolysis.
    Notes: Thiazoliumsalz-katalysierte Additionen von Aldehyden an Vinyldiketone (1-4, 10-12) führen zu unsymmetrischen 1,4,7-Triketonen (13-26). Die Vinyldiketone entstehen durch Addition von Norbornen-2-carbaldehyd an Alkylvinylketone und nachfolgende Pyrolyse. Die Alkylvinylketone (30 - 32) werden durch Reaktion des Norbornen-2-carbonitrils mit Alkylmagnesiumhalogeniden nach Hydrolyse und Pyrolyse erhalten.

Syntheses of 4,7-Dioxo-esters and 4,7-Dioxo-nitrilesThiazolium salt-catalyzed addition of aldehydes to the vinyloxo-ester 3 or the vinyloxo-nitrile 4 leads to the dioxo-esters 5 and 6 or to the dioxo-nitriles 7-13. 3 or 4 are obtained by addition of 5-norbornene-2-carbaldehyde to methyl acrylate or to acrylonitrile, followed by pyrolysis.
    Notes: Unter Thiazoliumsalz-Katalyse werden Aldehyde an den Vinylketoester 3 und an das Vinylketonitril 4 unter Bildung von 4,7-Diketoestern 5 und 6 bzw, 4,7-Diketonitrilen 7-13 addiert. 3 bzw. 4 entstehen durch Addition von 5-Norbornen-2-carbaldehyd an Acrylsäure-methylester bzw. Acrylnitril und nachfolgende Pyrolyse.

Dialdehydes and α,β-unsaturated ketones yield tetraketones (38-44). Syntheses of 2,5,8,11,14-pentadecanepentaone (36) and of 2,5,8,11,14,17,20-heneicosaneheptaone (37) are described.
    Notes: Thiazoliumsalz-katalysierte Additionen von Aldehyden an Divinylketon, Dibenzylidenaceton und Difurfurylidenaceton oder von Lävulinaldehyd an Alkylvinylketone führen zu 1,4,7-Triketonen (2-30). Dialdehyde ergeben mit α,β-ungesättigten Ketonen Tetraketone (38-44). Synthesen von 2,5,8,11,14-Pentadecanpentaon (36) und von 2,5,8,11,14,17,20-Heneicosanheptaon (37) werden beschrieben.
