Description: Festuca altissima All. was reported for the first time in the Netherlands. The grass grows in the margin of a small oak forest on sandy soil near Amerongen, Province of utrecht, in the central part of the country. As the species is not used as an ornamental garden plant, it seems likely that it has arrived through natural dispersal.
