    Description / Table of Contents: Chlorothionitrene Complexes of Rhenium. Crystal Structure of AsPh4[ReCl4(NSCl)2] · CH2Cl2Rhenium pentachloride reacts in POCl3 solution with (NSCl)3 forming the chlorothionitrene complexes [(Cl3PO)ReCl4(NSCl)] (I) and [(Cl3PO)ReCl3(NSCl)2] (II). I reacts with AsPh4Cl in CH2Cl2 solution under abstraction of SCl2 and POCl3, yielding AsPh4[ReNCl4], while II forms the complex AsPh4[ReCl4(NSCl)2] · CH2Cl2. The i.r. spectra of the compounds are discussed and assigned. The crystal structure of AsPh4[ReCl4(NSCl)2] · CH2Cl2 was determined and refined with X-ray diffraction data (R = 0.031 for 2785 reflexions). It crystallizes in the space group PĪ with two formula units per unit cell; the lattice constants are a = 1119, b = 1144, c = 1473 pm, α = 77.6, β = 70.8 and γ = 71.2°. The two NSCl ligands have cis arrangement with nearly linear Re=N=S groups, with interatomic distances corresponding to double bonds. The Re—Cl bonds are somewhat longer than usual and show no trans-effect; this is possibly due to Cl…H—C bridges.
    Notes: Rheniumpentachlorid reagiert in POCl3-Lösung mit trimerem Thiazylchlorid (NSCl)3, unter Bildung der Chlorthionitrenkomplexe [(Cl3PO)ReCl4(NSCl)] (I) bzw.[(Cl3PO)ReCl3 (NSCl)2] (II). I reagiert mit AsPh4Cl in Dichlormethanlösung unter Abspaltung von Schwefeldichlorid und Phosphorylchlorid zu AsPh4[ReNCl4], während II mit AsPh4Cl den Komplex AsPh4-[ReCl4(NSCl)2] · CH2Cl2 bildet. Die IR-Spektren der Verbindungen werden diskutiert und zugeordnet. Die Kristallstruktur von AsPh4[ReCl4(NSCl)2] · CH2Cl2 wurde mit Hilfe von Röntgenbeugungsdaten ermittelt und verfeinert (R-Wert 3,1% für 2785 Reflexe). Es kristallisiert triklin in der Raumgruppe PĪ mit zwei Formeleinheiten pro Elementarzelle und den Gitterkonstanten a = 1119, b = 1144, c = 1473 pm, α = 77,6, β 70,8 und γ 71,2°. Die beiden NSCl-Liganden sind cis-ständig an das Rhenium gebunden, mit fast gestreckten Re=N=S-Gruppierungen, deren interatomare Abstände als Doppelbindungen aufzufassen sind. Die Re—Cl-Abstände sind etwas länger als sonst und lassen keinen trans-Effekt erkennen; dies kann mit H-Brückenbindungen Cl…H—C zusammenhängen.

According to the IR spectra all complexes contain terminal M≡N triple bonds which can be detected by characteristic absorptions in the region from 950 to 1100 cm-1
    Notes: Es wird über die Synthesen, einige Eigenschaften und die IR-Spektren der Übergangsmetall-Nitridokomplexe MNCl3(Bipy) (M = Mo, W, Re; Bipy = 2,2′-Bipyridin) (1a-c), MoNBr2(Bipy) (2), ReNCl3(Pyridin)3 (3), [ReNCl4(Pyridin)]⊖ (4), ReNCl3(PPh3)2 (5), [ReNCl4(PPh3)]⊖ (6), (Ph3P)(Cl4)ReNPPh3 (7) sowie des Porphyrinatokomplexes [MoN(TPP)]Br3 (8) berichtet. Nach den IR-Spektren enthalten alle Komplexe terminale M≡N-Dreifachbindungen, die sich durch charakteristische Absorptionen im Bereich von 950 bis 1100 cm-1 nachweisen lassen.
