Summary A report is given of an electrometric micro titration method for quantities of material below 1 mg, in which a glass electrode of special form is used simultaneously as pH indicator and titration vessel. The use of tetramethylammonium hydroxide in preference to alkali hydroxides for titrations with the glass electrode is established. An example is given to demonstrate the application of the method for the direct titration of amino acids. Glycol monomethyl ether is proposed as solvant for the electrometric titration of water-insoluble materials.
