Ag3SBr crystallizes in a simple cubic lattice with a = 4.806 Å and Z = 1. The structure has been determined by trial and error as an arrangement of the space group Oh1-Pm3m derived from the ideal antiperovskite structure by displacement of the silver ions from the face centers in direction to the edges of the unit cell.β-Ag3SJ is isotypic with Ag3SBr (a = 4.903 Å). α-Ag3SJ crystallizes b. c. c. with a = 4.993 Å and Z = 1. It is homoeotypic with α-AgJ and α-Ag2S; the anions randomly occupy the corners and the center of the unit cell, while the cations are randomly distributed into 42 holes of the anion arrangement. Ag3SBr and β-Ag3SJ are interpreted to be coordination compounds; they do not belong to the class of „metallo“-complexes of silver.

Ag3SBr kristallisiert kubisch-primitiv mit der Gitterkonstante a = 4,806 Å. Die Elementarzelle enthält eine Formeleinheit. Die Struktur wurde nach dem „trial-and-error“- Verfahren für eine Anordnung in der Raumgruppe Oh1-Pm3m bestimmt, die sich aus der idealen Antiperowskitstruktur durch Verschiebung der Silberionen aus den Flächenmitten in Richtung der Kanten der Elementarzelle ableiten läßt.Die Gitterkonstante des mit Ag3SBr isotypen β-Ag3SJ beträgt a = 4,903 Å. α-Ag3SJ kristallisiert kubisch-raumzentriert mit der Gitterkonstante a = 4,993 Å. Die Elementarzelle enthält ebenfalls eine Formeleinheit. Die Strukturbestimmung ergab, daß α-Ag3SJ mit α-AgJ bzw. α-Ag2S homöotyp ist, und zwar besetzen die Anionen statistisch die Ecken und das Zentrum der Elementarzelle, während die Kationen auf 42 Lücken der Anionenpackung statistisch verteilt sind.Ag3SBr und β-Ag3SJ gehören nicht zur Klasse der Metallo-Komplexe des Silbers, sie sind vielmehr als Koordinationsverbindungen aufzufassen.
