GRIGNARD compounds have been used for the anionic caprolactam polymerization to obtain a more uniform course. The polymerization processes were successful, but they followed the same rules which were observed when using sodium caprolactam. A stabilizing action was obtained on the addition of acetie acid esters from alcohols with long chains to the caprolactam. A better markable stabilization was found by using N-acetyl caprolactam, which was applied in different concentrations, regarding the used initiators and the caprolactam.The number average degree of polymerization in equilibrium depends on the concentration of acetyl caprolactam and sodium caprolactam respectively and on the temperature of polymerization. The rules of the so found dependence show close correspondence with the rules of the accelerated radical polymerization.

Zur Erzielung eines gleichmäßigeren Verlaufs der anionischen Caprolactam-Polymerisation wurden GRIGNARD-Verbindungen eingesetzt. Es gelang damit Polymerisationen auszulösen, die den bekannten Gesetzmäßigkeiten folgten. Ein Zusatz von Essigsäureestern langkettiger Alkohole zum Polymerisationsansatz erbrachte dagegen eine deutlich stabilisierende Wirkung. Noch besser wirkt Acetylcaprolactam, das bezüglich des verwendeten Initiators und des Caprolactams in verschiedenen Konzentrationsverhältnissen eingesetzt wurde. Die dabei auftretenden Gesetzmäßigkeiten über die Abhängigkeit des Zahlenmittels des Gleichgewichtspolymerisationsgrades von der Acetylcaprolactam- bzw. Natriumcaprolactamkonzentration und von der Polymerisationstemperatur stimmen mit denen der beschleunigten Radikalkettenpolymerisation überein.
