The forest site mapping of the State forests of the 1960th gives a detailed review of the potential (650 ha) and the recent fen areas (150 ha) along the Hunsrück Main Ridge. The recommendations for silviculture derived from this mapping are today understandable only by the knowledge of the general conditions of that time.
