Conclusions 1. During the interaction of aminobenzoic acids with HCl, KI, KBr, KCl, and KOH, unstable coordination compounds form in the solution; the coordinating particles are these latter molecules, rather than ions, and the π-electron system of the aminobenzoic acids participates in this interaction. 2. The oscillator strength of the S→ S* transition decreases when the molecule acts as a π-electron donor in an interaction and increases when this molecule acts as an acceptor.
