Influences of bacteria on iron corrosion in brackish and sea watersThe corrosion of steel in seawaters is subject to seasonal variations; the corrosion maxma being in spring and autumn. Die Korrosion von Stahl in den beiden Wässern unterliegt jahreszeitlichen Schwankungen; die Korrosionsmaxima liegen im Frübjabr und Herbst. Die Schwankungen können nicht allein einer Änderung der Wassertemperatur, der Salzkonzentration oder des Sauerstoffgehalts zugeschrieben werden, sondern beruhen auf einem Zusammenwirken von biotischen und abiotischen Fartoren, die erstgenannten sind verantwortlich für Schwankungen der Korrosion in Ab-hängigkeit von der Temperatur.
