Description: Chemical copolymerization of pyrrole and aniline has been carried out by taking the monomers in equimolar proportion. The structural analysis of the copolymer was done with the help of FTIR, WAXD and SEM techniques, the results confirm the formation of new material involving both pyrrole and aniline units. The dc electrical conductivity of the copolymer has been recorded up to 673k using two probe method. The log σ Vs 1/T plot shows the transition of the sample from metallic to semi conducting behavior and vice versa, at a particular temperature. The magnetic susceptibility was recorded at magnetic field of 0.1KG in the temperature range 313-507 K by using Guoy's method. The Thermal behavior of the copolymer was studied using DTA-TGA revealing variation in the T g of copolymer when compared to homopolymers.

Description: The availability of human genome sequence has transformed biomedical research over the past decade. However, an equivalent map for the human proteome with direct measurements of proteins and peptides does not exist yet. Here we present a draft map of the human proteome using high-resolution Fourier-transform mass spectrometry. In-depth proteomic profiling of 30 histologically normal human samples, including 17 adult tissues, 7 fetal tissues and 6 purified primary haematopoietic cells, resulted in identification of proteins encoded by 17,294 genes accounting for approximately 84% of the total annotated protein-coding genes in humans. A unique and comprehensive strategy for proteogenomic analysis enabled us to discover a number of novel protein-coding regions, which includes translated pseudogenes, non-coding RNAs and upstream open reading frames. This large human proteome catalogue (available as an interactive web-based resource at http://www.humanproteomemap.org) will complement available human genome and transcriptome data to accelerate biomedical research in health and disease.〈br /〉〈br /〉〈a href="https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4403737/" target="_blank"〉〈img src="https://static.pubmed.gov/portal/portal3rc.fcgi/4089621/img/3977009" border="0"〉〈/a〉   〈a href="https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4403737/" target="_blank"〉This paper as free author manuscript - peer-reviewed and accepted for publication〈/a〉〈br /〉〈br /〉〈span class="detail_caption"〉Notes: 〈/span〉Kim, Min-Sik -- Pinto, Sneha M -- Getnet, Derese -- Nirujogi, Raja Sekhar -- Manda, Srikanth S -- Chaerkady, Raghothama -- Madugundu, Anil K -- Kelkar, Dhanashree S -- Isserlin, Ruth -- Jain, Shobhit -- Thomas, Joji K -- Muthusamy, Babylakshmi -- Leal-Rojas, Pamela -- Kumar, Praveen -- Sahasrabuddhe, Nandini A -- Balakrishnan, Lavanya -- Advani, Jayshree -- George, Bijesh -- Renuse, Santosh -- Selvan, Lakshmi Dhevi N -- Patil, Arun H -- Nanjappa, Vishalakshi -- Radhakrishnan, Aneesha -- Prasad, Samarjeet -- Subbannayya, Tejaswini -- Raju, Rajesh -- Kumar, Manish -- Sreenivasamurthy, Sreelakshmi K -- Marimuthu, Arivusudar -- Sathe, Gajanan J -- Chavan, Sandip -- Datta, Keshava K -- Subbannayya, Yashwanth -- Sahu, Apeksha -- Yelamanchi, Soujanya D -- Jayaram, Savita -- Rajagopalan, Pavithra -- Sharma, Jyoti -- Murthy, Krishna R -- Syed, Nazia -- Goel, Renu -- Khan, Aafaque A -- Ahmad, Sartaj -- Dey, Gourav -- Mudgal, Keshav -- Chatterjee, Aditi -- Huang, Tai-Chung -- Zhong, Jun -- Wu, Xinyan -- Shaw, Patrick G -- Freed, Donald -- Zahari, Muhammad S -- Mukherjee, Kanchan K -- Shankar, Subramanian -- Mahadevan, Anita -- Lam, Henry -- Mitchell, Christopher J -- Shankar, Susarla Krishna -- Satishchandra, Parthasarathy -- Schroeder, John T -- Sirdeshmukh, Ravi -- Maitra, Anirban -- Leach, Steven D -- Drake, Charles G -- Halushka, Marc K -- Prasad, T S Keshava -- Hruban, Ralph H -- Kerr, Candace L -- Bader, Gary D -- Iacobuzio-Donahue, Christine A -- Gowda, Harsha -- Pandey, Akhilesh -- HHSN268201000032C/HL/NHLBI NIH HHS/ -- HHSN268201000032C/PHS HHS/ -- P41 GM103504/GM/NIGMS NIH HHS/ -- P41GM103504/GM/NIGMS NIH HHS/ -- T32 GM007814/GM/NIGMS NIH HHS/ -- U24 CA160036/CA/NCI NIH HHS/ -- U24CA160036/CA/NCI NIH HHS/ -- U54 GM103520/GM/NIGMS NIH HHS/ -- U54GM103520/GM/NIGMS NIH HHS/ -- England -- Nature. 2014 May 29;509(7502):575-81. doi: 10.1038/nature13302.〈br /〉〈span class="detail_caption"〉Author address: 〈/span〉1] McKusick-Nathans Institute of Genetic Medicine, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Baltimore, Maryland 21205, USA [2] Department of Biological Chemistry, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Baltimore, Maryland 21205, USA. ; Notes: Structural changes in nylon-6 film on doping with various concentrations of copper chloride (0.5, 1.25, 2.5, 5, and 12.5% w/w) have been investigated. Methods such as density measurement, analysis of infrared spectra, and wide-angle X-ray diffraction analysis have been employed to study these structural changes. It is found that doping up to 1.25% of copper chloride increases the crystallization of nylon-6 in the α-crystalline form. Further increase in the dopant concentration, however, gradually changes the crystal structure to hexagonal γ form with reduction in the total crystallization.

Notes: The article reports the effect of variation in the concentration of copper chloride on the elastic and viscoelastic properties of nylon-6 films. The elastic modulus for the film is determined using sonic velocity measurement technique. The glass transition temperatures are determined from dynamic mechanical studies with the Rheovibron. It is observed that the glass transition temperature of the doped films increases with increase in the dopant concentration. It is also observed that at low concentrations of doping (up to 1.25%) the salt acts as a plasticizer, whereas for higher concentration of doping (up to 12.5%) it acts as an antiplasticizer.

Notes: Polyaniline (PAn), an important conducting polymer, was synthesized chemically. Percentage crystallinity of PAn on doping with various dopants (viz., hydrochloric acid, formic acid, iodine, methylene blue) has been investigated using wide-angle X-ray diffraction analysis. It is observed that percentage crystallinity (Xc %) for PAn increases after doping, and it is different for different dopants. The electrical conductivity measurements of these samples show that there is an increase in electrical conductivity with an increase in crystallinity. © 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
