Notes: Abstract Exact solutions of the Faddeev equations are generated using the local Reid soft-core potential acting in the1 S 0,3 S 1-3 D 1 partial waves at the neutron laboratory energy of 14.6 MeV. The neutron-deuteron elastic cross section as well as the neutron asymmetryA y are calculated.

Notes: Abstract. The effects of explicit Δ degrees of freedom on trinuclear binding energy and structure are investigated using the Argonne V28Q Δ model. Separate dispersive effects, one- and two-Δ three-body force effects, and one- and two-Δ probabilities are determined for the triton. Some new results are also given for the Hannover and Argonne V28 Δ models, and V28Q trinuclear Δ effects are compared with those of these other models. Considerable consistency among the models is found, suggesting a coherent qualitative picture of trinuclear Δ effects.

Notes: Abstract The Faddeev equations are solved for two OBE potentials, HMl and EHM′. The two potentials differ primarily by the fact that HMl fits the1 S 0 n-p scattering data, while EHM′ fits the1 S 0 low-energy parameters of the Reid soft-core (RSC) potential. They give essentially identical values for the3 S 1−3 D 1 physical observables. The triton binding energy (E T) and the3He charge form factor (CFF) are calculated for each OBE potential and compared with those of the RSC potential. Listed in the order (RSC, EHM′, HMl), the results forE T are (7.0, 7.2, 7.5) MeV, while the positions of the minimum of the CFF areQ MIN 2 =(13.9, 15.3, 15.5) fm−2. The two OBE potentials give increased binding in the triton, while simultaneously increasingQ MIN 2 .

Notes: Abstract Benomyl affected populations of Tetranychus urticae by interfering with the pathogenic fungus, Neozygites floridana. Benomyl delayed but prolonged spider mite outbreaks. Few mites were infected with the pathogen when benomyl was used. Reductions in mite populations treated with fentin hydroxide were associated with a high incidence of N. floridana infection. Benomyl did not affect sporulation of N. floridana but appeared to inhibit conidial germination or growth of the fungus.

Description / Table of Contents: Summary Turbidity in a titration solution or dilution upon sample introduction causes systematic errors in automatic Spectrophotometric set-point titrations. The reduction of these errors with a factor of about 10 is realized by subtracting the signals of two light beams of different wave length which pass the same titration solution. The signal values both depend on the absorption of coloured substances (indicator) and on turbidity or dilution effects. Assuming that these effects are independent of the wave length and selecting wave lengths at which indicator absorbance differs greatly, subtraction of the signals leads to the elimination of said effects. As an illustration nMole amounts of sulphate were titrated in 80–90% aceton with a lead(II)-titrant using dithizone as indicator. The standard deviation was about 2%. A titration took 1–2 min.

Description / Table of Contents: Summary A refined correction of the described [4] method to corrigate for systematic errors due to turbidity and dilution is necessary, if these errors should exceed 10%. This refinement consists of a correction for the difference in the relative spectral sensitivity of the detectors and for the particle size and wave length dependent light scattering. One of the signals is exponentially transformed before being subtracted (s. part I). Thus in practice a refinement of an other 10% was readily obtainable. As an illustration about 1 nMole of Zn(II) is chelatometrically titrated in slurries of SnO2 and BaSO4 (coarse particles) and SiO2 (fine particles). The indicator used was xylenol orange. A standard deviation of about 1–2 % was found. The titration took 1–2 min.
Teil I).
