Crystallographic Aspects of Ternary Phases of Lithium with Main Group III and IV Elements in “Ionic” and “Nonionic” CompositionSome new ternary phases in the systems Li—MeIII—XIV (MeIII = Al, Ga, In; X = Si, Ge, Sn) were prepared by melting element mixtures in Ta crucibles. The resulting phases were characterized by X-ray investigation and some chemical reactions. A region of the ternary system Li—Ga—Si was investigated by X-ray phase analysis and the results were compared with the results which we obtained in the Li—Ga—Ge-System. A chemical characterization was realized by thermal decomposition of the gaseous products which were developped by the reaction of the phases with diluted sulphuric acid.

In den Systemen Li—MeIII—XIV (MeIII = Al, Ga, In; X = Si, Ge, Sn) wurden durch Zusammenschmelzen der Elemente neue ternäre Phasen dargestellt und röntgenographisch und chemisch charakterisiert. Im Dreistoffsystem Li—Ga—Si wurde in einem Teilbereich eine röntgenographische Phasenanalyse durchgeführt und die Beziehung zum System Li—Ga—Ge untersucht. Für die chemische Charakterisierung der neuen Phase wurde u. a. die thermische Zersetzung der mit verdünnter Schwefelsäure gebildeten Hydrolysegase herangezogen.
