Abstract The experimental characteristics of the strength of S94-2 glass and data on the structural strength of joints in deep-water neutrino telescope cases consisting of pressed 370 and 432 mm in diameter hemispherical glass elements with wall thickness of 10 and 16 mm are examined. The safety factors and values of admissible stresses under compression and bending as well as under conditions of contact compression of the elements by flat metallic supports were established on the basis of an analysis of the obtained characteristics.
