    Notes: Abstract.  Silica may dissolve up to about 0.05 wt% in an iron excess NiZnCo spinel matrix, affecting noticeably the magnetic properties at low and high values of the applied field. The initial permeability is reduced by about 50% with the addition of only 0.1% SiO2, while the coercivity almost triples, without noticeable changes in porosity or grain distribution. The vacancy and Fe2+ content of the sintered material also show a considerable change. The energy associated to the transformation Fe3+→Fe2+ for the samples without SiO2 was found to be 0.41–0.42 eV, while for the samples with SiO2 additions it decreased to 0.26 eV. The changes in magnetic properties are thought to be caused, more than because of the mentioned changes in ion distribution, by the stresses and defects created in the lattice due to the very small size of the Si4+ ion, which substitutes Fe3+ ions in tetrahedral sites. The transition Fe3+→Fe2+ seems to take place exclusively in the octahedral sites.

    Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Die Vorteile, die das dynamische Scanning im Vergleich zur traditionellen Punktfür-Punkt-Methode zur Ermittlung der Permeabilität/Temperatur-Kurve bietet, werden zusammen mit einer auf Impedanzmessungen beruhenden, einfachen und zuverlässigen dynamischen Methode diskutiert. Dynamisches Scanning kann zusätzliche indirekte Informationen liefern, die durch Röntgendiffraktometrie, DTA, DSC order konventionelle Thermomagnetometrie nicht zu erhalten sind. Einige für NiZnCo-Ferrite erhaltene Ergebnisse werden mitgeteilt.
    Abstract: Резюме Обсуждено удобство д инамического сканирования по срав нению с традиционным и поточечными методам и получения графичес кой зависимости проница емости от температур ы. Основой является про стой и надежный метод измерения полного сопротивлен ия. Динамическое сканирование предос тавляет такую дополн ительную информацию, которая, к ак правило, не может быть получена р ентгено-диффракцион ным анализом, методами ДТ А, ДСК или обычной термомагнетометрии. Представлены некото рые результаты исследов ания ферритов типа NiZnCo.
    Notes: Abstract The convenience of dynamic scanning, as compared with the traditional point-by-point methods, to obtain the permeability versus temperature curves is discussed, together with the use of a simple and reliable dynamic method based on impedance measurements. Dynamic scanning may provide additional indirect information, which can usually not be detected by X-ray diffraction, DTA, DSC or conventional thermomagnetometry. Some results obtained on NiZnCo ferrites are shown.

    Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Zwecks quantitativer Phasenuntersuchungen wird die Auswertung von Permeabilitäts-Temperatur Diagrammen näher beschrieben und die Ergebnisse mit der Bestimmung von magnetischen Co2Y Resten (2CoO · 2BaO · 6Fe2O3) in Co2Z (2CoO·3BaO·12Fe2O3) Proben illustriert. Diese Methode ist zur Bestimmung von geringen, mittels röntgenographischen Verfahren nicht feststellbaren magnetischen Phaseneinschlüssen in einem bestimmten magnetischen Material sehr geeignet.

    Notes: Abstract The expressions for quantitative phase analysis from permeability versus temperature curves are discussed, and the results are illustrated by the determination of magnetic Co2 Y remnants (2CoO·2BaO·6Fe2O3) in Co2Z (2CoO·3BaO·12Fe2O3) samples. The method is well suited for the determination of small inclusions of a magnetic phase in a given magnetic material, in a range where X-ray methods become useless as a rule.
