    Notes: Abstract It is shown that the list of unusual mesons that are planned to be studied in photoproduction reactions can be supplemented with I G (J PC)=2+ (2++) exotic states X ±(1600), which are natural to seek as manifestations of the ρ±ρ0 decay channels in the reactions γN → ρ±ρ0 N and γN → ρ±ρ0Δ. A classification of the ρ±ρ0 states according to their quantum numbers is presented. A model for the spin structure of the amplitudes for the reactions γp → f 2(1270)p, γp → a 2 0 (1320)p, and γN → X ±(N, Δ) is proposed, and estimates are obtained for the corresponding cross sections. At E γ≈6 GeV, it is found that σ(γP → f 2(1270)p)≈0.12 µb, σ(γp → a 2 0 (1320)p)≈0.25 µb, σ(γN → X ± N → ρ±ρ0 N) ≈ 0.018 µb, and σ(γp → X −Δ++ → ρ−ρ0Δ++≈0.031 µb. The problem of isolating signals from X ± states against the natural background that is associated with other channels of π±π0π+π− production is discussed. It is deduced that searches for exotic states X ±(2+ (2++)) in experiments at JLAB will be quite efficient—for example, the yield of about 2.8×106 events per month is expected to correspond to the estimated cross sections for the reactions γN → X ± N → ρ±ρ0 N.

    Notes: Abstract It is shown that the electroproduction of the isobar Δ(1232) occurs in φ factories when the beams interact with the residual gas. In one effective year (107 s) the decay of this isobar over an interaction length of one meter gives ∼107 pions, moving predominantly in a direction transverse to the axis of the beams, with a resonance energy distribution having a 120-MeV wide peak near 265 MeV. Formulas required for modeling the process under discussion, giving the distributions over the momentum transfer, angles, energies, and momenta of the decay products are presented.

    Notes: Abstract It is shown that BR(χ b1(1 P)→e + e −)≃3.3· 10−7 and BR(χ c1(1 P)→e + e −)≃10−8. This gives realistic possibilities for searching for the production of χ b1(1 P) and ξ c1(1 P) states in e + e − collisions, even on the present-day colliders, to say nothing of b and c-τ factories.

    Notes: Abstract Preliminary data on the reactions e + e −→φ→γ f 0(980)→γπ0π0 together with data on ππ scattering and the reactions J/ψ→φπ+π− and K − p→π +π−(Λ,Σ) are analyzed. The analysis shows that the mass of the f 0(980) meson is $$m_{f_0 } $$ = 950 MeV, and BR(φ→γf 0→γπ0π0)≃ 1× 10−4, indicating that the f 0(980) resonance is of a four-quark nature.

    Notes: Abstract Predictions of the models based on effective chiral Lagrangians of vector mesons ρ(770) and ω(782) are considered for such measurable quantities as the partial widths of various ρ → 4π and ω → 5π decays and their corresponding excitation curves. Analogous curves for the channel ρ− → (4π)− are obtained for τ lepton decays. The angular distributions for various combinations of the final pions from the ρ → 4π and ω → 5π decays in the e + e −-annihilation and photoproduction are also found. A simple method for the order-of-magnitude estimation of the partial widths based essentially on the threshold character of the above multipion decays is presented.

    Notes: Abstract The phase of φω interference in the reaction e + e − → π+π−π0 near the energy of the φ(1020) peak is calculated within an approach that is virtually independent of the model for φω mixing. A comparison with the phase measured recently (with a poor precision) shows that the deviation of the measured result from the expected value of 180° is associated largely with the effect of the right shoulder of the ω(782) peak in the region of the φ(1020) peak. The ω width at the energy equal to the φ mass is within the interval 120–200 MeV. The effect of the φω-state-induced unitarity corrections to the φ and ω coupling constants on the phase of ρπ interference is considered in detail.

    Notes: Abstract Constructed is the vector dominance model for the γ+γ*(Q 2)→f(1270,2+) process which is in good agreement with the experiment. We note that the experimental data do not require the consideration of the generalized vector dominance model. It is also shown that the vector dominance model (non-generalized) with the natural assumption of the vector meson-hadron scattering total cross section independence of vector meson helicity state describes well the total cross section of γγ*→hardons process in the Regge region.
