Notes: The algebraic structure of parastatistics has been generalized and it is found to be consistent with supersymmetric quantum mechanics with supercharges constructed out of the generalized para-Bose and para-Fermi operators. It is further shown that the operator algebra of generalized parastatistics offers a realization of the (graded) orthosymplectic group similar to that of orthogonal and symplectic groups using conventional parastatistics.

Notes: The application of the method of stochastic quantization originally attributed to Parisi and Wu has been extended to spinor fields obeying para-Fermi statistics. The connection between Euclidean and stochastic field theories is established in the conventional manner by proving the equivalence between a Langevin equation satisfied by para-Grassmann fields and a Fokker–Planck equation, the Hamiltonian of which has been constructed using para-Grassmann variables analogous to its construction from Grassmann variables in the Fermi case. As an example, a two-point Green function is calculated for any arbitrary value of order p of para-Fermi statistics, barring the pathological case p=2 which has been mentioned briefly.

Notes: The problem of formulating noncommutative differential geometry on multiparametric deformations of arbitrary quantum mechanical phase spaces involving bosonic or (even or odd-dimensional) fermionic variables is investigated. A suitable enlargement of the basic quadratic algebras enables one to solve all the consistency conditions on the calculus with the help of plausible ansatzes.

Notes: Abstract We formulate a differential calculus on the quantum exterior vector space spanned by the generators of a non-anticommutative algebra satisfying $$\begin{gathered} r^{ij} \equiv \theta ^i \theta ^j + B_{kl}^{ij} \theta ^k \theta ^l = 0i,j = 1,2,...,n. \hfill \\ and \hfill \\ (\theta ^i )^2 = (\theta ^j )^2 = ... = (\theta ^n )^2 = 0, \hfill \\ \end{gathered} $$ whereB kl ij is the most general matrix defined in terms of complex deformation parameters. Following considerations analogous to those of Wess and Zumino, we are able to exhibit covariance of our calculus under (n/2)+1 parameter deformation ofGL(n) and explicitly check that the non-anticommutative differential calculus satisfies the general constraints given by them, such as the “linear” conditiondr ij ≃0 and the “quadratic” conditionr ij x n ≃0 wherex n =dλ n are the differentials of the variables.

Notes: Abstract Experimental results on some characteristics of high multiplicity (≧45) proton-AgBr interactions at 800 GeV are presented. The results are compared with those in lower multiplicity regions as well as for CNO target. The various parameters investigated here are pseudorapidity distribution, mean normalised multiplicity, mean number of intranuclear collisions and normalised pseudorapidity.

Notes: Abstract We present the first experimental results on self-similar nature of fluctuations of one and two-dimensional density distributions of medium energy particles in 800 GeV p-AgBr interactions. The density fluctuations as measured by 1−D q are found to be more in two dimensions as compared to those in one dimension, whereas the fluctuations decrease with increase in multiplicity. It has been found that the self-similar cascade model with multifractal properties describes well the observed fluctuations. The ratios of multifractal power law indices are found to be independent of the dimensionality of phase space and of multiplicity.

Notes: Abstract The internal conversion coefficients have been measured using a high resolution low energy Ge(Li) detector for the followingM4 transitions:125Te: 109.27keV transitionα T =357±11; RG method,127Te: 88.26 keV transitionα T =484±23; XPG method,129Te: 105.50keV transitionα T =213±10; XPG method. It is observed that these values are lower by 2.5–3.6% as compared with Hager and Seltzer's calculations. A comparison between experimental and theoreticalα T andα T values for elevenM4 transitions shows that the experimental values are systematically lower.

Notes: Abstract We study nuclear effects in multiparticle production in proton-emulsion nuclei interactions at 800 GeV and 400 GeV. The observed pseudorapidity distributions are compared with the predictions of a simple quark model. The predicted dependence of the ratio of the normalised multiplicity distribution of the produced shower particles in hadron-nucleus (hA) to hadron-hadron (hh) interactions on the mean number of inelastic collisions in the central region is in good agreement with the experimental data.

Notes: Abstract Experimental results on multiplicity distributions for full phase space and in different pesudorapidity windows of charged secondary particles produced in proton-nucleon collisions at 800 GeV are presented and discussed. It is found that all these multiplicity distributions are well described by negative binomial distributions. We interpret our results on the basis of clan model. The bin size dependence of multiplicity distribution of charged secondary particles in proton-nucleon interactions is analysed in terms of multifractals. The values of generalised dimensions obtained from fitted distributions show a good agreement with those obtained from the data.
