Chemistry of Perfluoro Alkane Sulfonic AcidsA new method for the preparation of CF3SO3H (1) without use of electrofluorination has been worked out. 1 and C2F5SO3H (2) form smoothly the tetrakis(perfluoroalkane sulfonates) of Zr und Th. In the case of Ti the preparation of Cl2Ti(OSO2Rf)2 and ClTi(OSO2Rf)3 (Rf = CF3 and C2F5) was successful. Si(OSO2Rf)4, Sn(OSO2Rf)4 and Pb(OSO2Rf)4 could not be isolated. However, organosilanes RnSi(OSO2Rf)4-n (R = CH3, C6H5, Rf = CF3, n = 1-3; R = CH3, Rf = C2F5, n = 1-3), organostannane RnSn(OSO2Rf)4-n (R = CH3, C6H5, Rf = CF3, n = 1-3) and (CH3)2Sn(OSO2C2F5)2 as well as organoplumbanes R3PbOSO2CF3 (R = CH3, C6H5) and (C2H5)2Pb(OSO2CF3)2 were produced.

CF3SO3H (1) wird ohne Anwendung der Elektrofluorierung dargestellt. 1 und C2F5SO3H bilden glatt die Zirkonium-und Thorium-tetrakis(perfluoralkansulfonate). Bei Titan gelingt die Darstellung der Verbindungen Cl2Ti(OSO2Rf)2 und CLTi(OSO2Rf)3 (Rf = CF3, C2F5). Si(OSO2Rf)4, Sn(OSO2Rf) 4 und Pb(OSO2Rf)4 konnten nicht isoliert werden. Dagegen gelang es, die Organosilane RnSi(OSO2Rf)4-n (R = CH3, C6H5, Rf = CF3, n = 1-3; R = CH3, Rf = C2F5, n = 1-3), Organostannane RnSn(OSO2Rf)4-n (R = CH3, C6H5, Rf = CF3, n = 1-3) und (CH3)2Sn(OSO2C2F5)2 Sowie Organoplumbane R3PbOSO2CF3 (R = CH3, C6H5) und (C2H5)2Pb(OSO2CF3)2 darzustellen.
