    Description: The relaxation dynamics in unfreezing process of metallic glasses is investigated by the activation-relaxation technique. A non-monotonic dynamical microstructural heterogeneities evolution with temperature is discovered, which confirms and supplies more features to flow units concept of glasses. A flow unit perspective is proposed to microscopically describe this non-monotonic evolution of the dynamical heterogeneities as well as its relationship with the deformation mode development of metallic glasses.

    Description: The heat capacity jump ΔC p at glass transition and the dynamical heterogeneity are two of the most important features of glass forming liquids. In order to reveal the intrinsic relationship between the two properties, a model glass system (Na 2 O) x (SiO 2 ) 1−x (x = 0.2–0.35) was studied by the systematic measurements of the ΔC p and the mechanical relaxation in the supercooled liquid region. A linear increase in ΔC p with increasing content of Na 2 O was found, indicating direct contributions of the locally fast dynamics around Na 2 O to ΔC p . This positive correlation between the locally heterogeneous dynamics and ΔC p was further confirmed by the dynamical heterogeneity analyses. Our results might be helpful for understanding the nature of glass transition.

    Description: The magnetic and microwave absorption properties of the interstitial atom modified intermetallic compound Ce 2 Fe 17 N X have been investigated. The Ce 2 Fe 17 N X compound shows a planar anisotropy with saturation magnetization of 1088 kA/m at room temperature. The Ce 2 Fe 17 N X paraffin composite with a mass ratio of 1:1 exhibits a permeability of μ ′  = 2.7 at low frequency, together with a reflection loss of −26 dB at 6.9 GHz with a thickness of 1.5 mm and −60 dB at 2.2 GHz with a thickness of 4.0 mm. It was found that this composite increases the Snoek limit and exhibits both high working frequency and permeability due to its high saturation magnetization and high ratio of the c-axis anisotropy field to the basal plane anisotropy field. Hence, it is possible that this composite can be used as a high-performance thin layer microwave absorber.

    Description: In this paper, the fishing data of Longteng vessel in 48.1, 48.2 and 58.4 subareas in 2018 are analyzed by the DEA method. Taking times of operation, operating time and wrap tension as input factors, the catch as output factor for the analysis. The capacity utilization and target input are obtained, pure technology efficiency and scale efficiency are summarized in time series, no-deflection capacity utilization are calculated, the rationality of input allocation and the input impact on capacity utilization are evaluated. It is conducted by comparison analysis: in 58.4 subarea, the pure technology efficiency fluctuates obviously and has no growth trend, the production scale is on the rise, but the capacity utilization does not increases proportional to the growth of scale efficiency.     Description: The otter board is one of the main components of single boat trawl fisheries. An oval cambered double slotted otter board was developed for improving the expansion performance of trawl net in bottom trawl fisheries. A flume model experiment was conducted to measure the lift coefficient ( C L ), drag coefficient ( C D ), and lift to drag ratio ( K ) in different angles of attack ( α ). The experimental results are as follows : (1) The C L and K value show a trend of increasing at the beginning and then decreasing with the increase of angle of attack, the C D value reflects an upward trend as the angle of attack increases; (2) The D3 otter board (front flow deflector angle at 29 ° ) showed a better hydrodynamic performance.     Description: A production test using several gillnets with various mesh sizes was carried out to discover the selectivity of gillnets in the East China Sea. The result showed that the composition of the catch species was synthetically affected by panel height and mesh size. The bycatch species of the 10-m nets were more than those of the 6-m nets. For target species, the effect of panel height on juvenile fish was ambiguous, but the number of juvenile fish declined quickly with the increase in mesh size. According to model deviance ( D ) and Akaike’s information criterion, the bi-normal model provided the best fit for small yellow croaker ( Larimichthy polyactis ), and the relative retention was 0.2 and 1, respectively. For Chelidonichthys spinosus , the log-normal was the best model; the right tilt of the selectivity curve was obvious and well coincided with the original data.     Description: Knowledge of the contribution that individual countries have made to global radiative forcing is important to the implementation of the agreement on "common but differentiated responsibilities" reached by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. Over the past three decades, China has experienced rapid economic development, accompanied by increased emission of greenhouse gases, ozone precursors and aerosols, but the magnitude of the associated radiative forcing has remained unclear. Here we use a global coupled biogeochemistry-climate model and a chemistry and transport model to quantify China's present-day contribution to global radiative forcing due to well-mixed greenhouse gases, short-lived atmospheric climate forcers and land-use-induced regional surface albedo changes. We find that China contributes 10% +/- 4% of the current global radiative forcing. China's relative contribution to the positive (warming) component of global radiative forcing, mainly induced by well-mixed greenhouse gases and black carbon aerosols, is 12% +/- 2%. Its relative contribution to the negative (cooling) component is 15% +/- 6%, dominated by the effect of sulfate and nitrate aerosols. China's strongest contributions are 0.16 +/- 0.02 watts per square metre for CO2 from fossil fuel burning, 0.13 +/- 0.05 watts per square metre for CH4, -0.11 +/- 0.05 watts per square metre for sulfate aerosols, and 0.09 +/- 0.06 watts per square metre for black carbon aerosols.     Notes: Abstract  The increase of concentration of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases in the atmosphere will certainly affect hydrological regimes. Global warning is thus expected to have major implications on water resources management. Our objective is to present a general approach to evaluate the effect of potential climate changes on groundwater resources. In the current stage of knowledge, large-scale global climate models are probably the best available tools to provide estimates of the effects of raising greenhouse gases on rainfall and evaporation patterns through a continuous, three dimensional simulation of atmospheric, oceanic and cryospheric processes. However their spatial resolution (generally some thousands of square kilometers) is not compatible with that of watershed hydrologic models. The main purpose of this study is to evaluate the impact of potential climate changes upon groundwater resources. A general methodology is proposed in order to disaggregate outputs of large-scale models and thus to make information directly usable by hydrologic models. As an illustration, this method is applied to a CO2-doubling scenario through the development of a local weather generator, although many uncertainties are not yet assessed about the results of climate models. Two important hydrological variables: rainfall and potential evapotranspiration are thus generated. They are then used by coupling with a physically based hydrological model to estimate the effects of climate changes on groundwater recharge and soil moisture in the root zone.
