    Notes: Zusammenfassung An einem weichgemachten Polyvinylchlorid wurden bei Dehnbeanspruchung stabförmiger Proben die Spannungsrelaxation bei verschiedenen Dehnungen und die Deformationsretardation bei verschiedenen Spannungen untersucht. Die Temperatur wurde so variiert, daß das Materialverhalten im gesamten Bereich vom glasig-amorphen bis zum quasi-gummielastischen Zustand erfaßt wurde. Aus den Ergebnissen der beiden Versuchsarten wird geschlossen, daß außerhalb des linearen Beanspruchungsbereiches bei allen Temperaturen die Zeit- und die Deformationsabhängigkeit der Spannung getrennt werden können, während eine Trennung der Zeit- und der Spannungsabhängigkeit der Dehnung nicht möglich ist.

    Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Es wurde eine direkte Bestimmung des 3,4-Benzpyrens in wä\riger Lösung beschrieben, die auf der Löslichkeitserhöhung beruht, die das in Wasser schwer lösliche 3,4-Benzpyren durch Coffein erfährt. Es können so noch 4 ng/ml bei der angegebenen Standardisierung bestimmt werden. Bei der Direktbestimmung des 3,4-Benzpyrens im System Coffein-Wasser ist ein pH 〉6,0 einzuhalten, da bei höheren Wasserstoffionenkonzentrationen die Fluorescenzintensität stark abnimmt.
    Notes: Abstract A method for the direct determination of benzo(a)pyrene in aqueous solution is based on the increase of its solubility by coffeine. 4 ng of benzo(a)pyrene/ml can be determined by the procedure described. In this direct determination in the system coffeine-water the pH has to be adjusted to 〉6.0, as the fluorescence intensity considerably decreases with higher H+ concentrations.

    Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Das Spanpreßverfahren eignet sich für die spektrometrische Analyse von durch Fräsen, Bohren und Sägen gewonnenen Stahlspänen. Allerdings sollte nach Möglichkeit gefrästen Spänen wegen ihrer besseren Gleichförmigkeit — im Sinne einer Gleichhaltung aller Untersuchungsbedingungen — der Vorzug gegeben werden. Versuche haben gezeigt, daß auch zerspantes Material von normalisierten Kohlenstoffstählen ≦1% C zu Elektroden der Entladung gepreßt und mit ausreichender Genauigkeit analysiert werden kann. Auf die günstige Möglichkeit der spektrometrischen Untersuchung von Spanproben aus gewalztem Material unberuhigter Stahlgüten wurde besonders hingewiesen.
    Notes: Summary The investigations described show the possibility to analyze with a vacuum spectrograph the briquetted chips obtained by cutting, boring, and sawing. The best results were observed in the case of the uniform chips obtained by cutting. The uniformity of these chips can be important for achieving always the same discharge conditions. Experiments have proved that it is also possible to investigate normalized carbon steels (≦1% C) after briquetting with a sufficient degree of accuracy and precision. The spectrochemical analysis of chips from rolled rimmed steel products is of special interest.

    Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Es wird eine Methode zur emissionsspektrometrischen Schnellanalyse von niedriglegiertem Stahl beschrieben, bei der jeweils drei Analysenwerte für jedes Element als Ergebnis anfallen. Durch die Herabsetzung des Zeitbedarfes der eigentlichen Analyse mit Hilfe einer speziellen Vorfunkanregung wird es möglich, dieses Ergebnis nach einer Zeit von etwa 70–80 sec zu erhalten, die nach dem herkömmlichen Verfahren bereits für eine Einzelanfunkung benötigt wurde. Neben der Verkürzung der reinen Analysenzeit ergibt diese Methode ein mit größerer statistischer Sicherheit reproduzierbares Resultat. Sie stellt damit eine der Voraussetzungen für die vollständige Automation dieses Analysenprinzips dar.
    Notes: Abstract New considerable improvements in the routine vacuum spectrometric analysis of low-alloy steel samples have been achieved by using a high energy prespark discharge for special conditioning of the sample surface. Therefore the sparking time is reduced for about 67% without any loss of precision. In the original time an automatic three-point-sparking may be performed and makes possible a computer control system in the total procedure of spectrometric steel analysis that would exert some form of critical judgement similar to the human element in manual analysis. This will provide a guarantee for a more accurate analytical control of steel production.

    Notes: (1)The rates of reaction of 2, 4-dinitrofluorobenzene with morpholine have been measured in benzene solution, with and without the addition of pyridine or 1, 4-diaza-bicyclo[2.2.2]octane (DABCO) as catalysts.(2)The reaction is catalyzed by morpholine, pyridine and DABCO; the rate laws as functions of these bases are expressed by equations (2)-(4).(3)The reaction is considerably more sensitive to pyridine and DABCO catalysis than that of 2, 4-dinitrofluorobenzene with the sterically identical, but more basic piperidine. These findings confirm a previously found trend of greater sensitivity to base catalysis with decreasing base strength of the reacting amine.
