Notes:
Conclusions 1. Observations of seepage, structure deformation, and reconfiguration of the channel, testify to the fact that the XXII Congress KPSS Volga HES, constructed on sandy siltstone rock, is functioning normally. 2. Omission of quick-lowering gates in front of the turbines, and of individual stop gates in the HES forebay, has not caused complications in operation. 3. The rubber seals between the concrete slabs, installed instead of filters beneath the concrete protective covering on the earth dam slopes, are functioning well. 4. Multi-unit HES should be equipped with reliable totalizing instruments for computing flow through the turbines.
