    Description / Table of Contents: Physico-chemical and preparative investigations have shown that AlCl3 reacts in POCl3 and PhPOCl2 both as chloride ion donor and acceptor.In the presence of polar chlorides, [AlCl4]- and not [AlCl5]2- or [AlCl6]3- is formed. Strong chloride ion acceptors such as FeCl3 and SbCl5 give rise to the formation of [AlCl]solv.2+-ions. The third chloride ion of AlCl3 is transferred only, if insoluble complex compounds are formed, e. g. [Al(OPCl3)6][SbCl6]3.
    Notes: Konduktometrische, potentiometrische, spektrophotometrische und präparative Untersuchungen zeigen, daß AlCl3 in POCl3 und in PhPOCl2 sowohl als Chloridionendonor als auch als Chloridionenakzeptor fungieren kann. In Gegenwart von polaren Chloriden erfolgt die Bildung von [AlCl4]-, nicht aber von [AlCl5]2- oder [AlCl6]3-. Gegenüber den starken Chloridionenakzeptoren FeCl3 und SbCl5 werden 2 Chloridionen weitgehend unter Bildung von [AlCl]solv.++ abgegeben. Die Abgabe eines dritten Chloridions erfolgt in geringerem Umfang und nur dann vollständig, wenn die entstehenden Komplexe z. B. [Al(OPCl3)6][SbCl6]3 oder [Al(OPCl3)6][FeCl4]3 schwer löslich sind. Das Donor- und Akzeptorverhalten ermöglicht Rückschlüsse auf den Lösungszustand von AlCl3.

    Description / Table of Contents: The size of crystallites of oxide, formed by thermal decomposition of MgCO3 or CaCO3, depends from the temperature and the CO2 pressure during the formation. The crystallite size obtained under certain conditions is a result of the superposition of the rate of formation of nuclei on the carbonate surface and the rate of growth of the oxide particles. It is postulated that the oxide nucleation is the rate determining step of the process.Dissolving the oxide does not change the reaction valocity and therefore the decrease of the reaction velocity cannot be caused by a delaying action of the oxide layer but results from the decrease of the carbonate surface and from tho different reactivity of the carbonate crystals.
    Notes: Aus der CO2-Druckabhängigkeit der Größe der beim thermischen Abbau von Magnesium-(bzw. Calcium-) Carbonat entstehenden Oxydkristalle kann gefolgert werden, daß die Keimbildung auf der Carbonatoberfläche geschwindigkeitsbestimmend ist. Aus dem Verhältnis der Keimbildungsgeschwindigkeit zur Wachstumsgeschwindigkeit der Kristalle ergibt sich eine für die jeweiligen Abbaubedingungen (CO2-Druck, Temperatur) charakteristische Größe der Oxydkristalle.Die rasche Abnahme der Reaktionsgeschwindigkeit bei der thermischen Zersetzung von MgCO3 mit steigendem Umsatz ist nicht auf die hemmende Wirkung der bei der Reaktion entstehenden Oxydschicht zurückzuführen. Nach Ablösen dieser Schicht verläuft die Reaktion gleich schnell wie vorher. Der Abfall der Geschwindigkeit mit steigendem Umsatz rührt außer von der Abnahme der Carbonatoberfläche auch von der verschiedenen Reaktionsbereitschaft der einzelnen Carbonatteilchen her.

Die Eigenschaften der Verbindungen werden beschrieben. Über die Ergebnisse eines qualitativen thermischen Abbaues sowie von Löslichkeitsmessungen wird berichtet.

    Description / Table of Contents: The chromium(III) complex compounds [Cr (dien)2]J3, [Cr (ditn)2]J3, and cis-[Cr (trien) Cl2] Cl · H2O are prepared by direct interaction of violet CrCl3 and the respective tridentate amines diethylene triamine (dien), and 3,3′-diamino-dipropylamine (ditn), and the tetradentate triethylene tetramine (trien). The absorption spectra of these compounds are described.
    Notes: Durch direkte Einwirkung der freien Amine Diäthylentriamin (dien: H2N(CH2)2NH (CH2)2NH2), 3,3′-Diamino-dipropylamin (ditn: H2N(CH2)3NH(CH2)3NH2) und Triäthylentetramin (trien: H2N(CH2)2NH(CH2)2NH(CH2)2NH2NH2) auf wasserfreies CrCl3 wurden die Komplexverbindungen [Cr dien2]J3, [Cr ditn2]J3 und cis-[Cr trien Cl2]Cl · H2O erhalten. Es werden die Darstellungsmethode und die Absorptionsspektren dieser Verbindungen angegeben.

    Description / Table of Contents: The reaction of aliphatic diamines, H2N(CH2)nNH2, with anhydrous CrCl3 has been studied. Diamines with n ≥ 4 yield unsoluble polymeric compounds of the general composition trans-{[Cr am2 Cl2]Cl}∞ (am = diamine). Attempts to determine the structural properties are described.
    Notes: Die Einwirkung aliphatischer Diamine des Typs H2N(CH2)nNH2 auf CrCl3 wird untersucht. Bei Diaminen mit n ≥ 4 entstehen unlösliche, polymere Verbindungen der allgemeinen Zusammensetzung {trans-[Cr am2 Cl2]Cl}∞ (am = Diamin). Es werden Versuche zur Strukturaufklärung beschrieben.
