Notes: [Auszug] Twenty-nine Wistar rats, weighing 250?350 g, were anaesthetized with 20 mg/100 g body-wt. of tribromo-ethanol intraperitoneally and the height of the blood pressure response recorded through the carotid using a Teleo strain gauge. 'Hyportensin Ciba' was made up to 2 g/ml, of saline at pH 5.6 or ...

Notes: [Auszug] Following a series of experiments of a study on impact of high-energy lasers, 300-joules exit energy, on bone, preliminary studies were done of the impact of the laser on teeth. These experiments were done with a pulsed ruby laser, 90-joules exit energy, beam width approximately 3/8 in., with an ...

Notes: [Auszug] ONE of the main goals of pharmacology is the correlation of chemical structure with function, to provide both an understanding of the ways in which drugs work, and an insight into rational approaches to the construction of new drugs. Streptomycin (I) has been and continues to be one of the most ...

Notes: [Auszug] The pneumococcal product differs markedly, however, from N-acetylhyalobiuronic acid, the repeating unit of hyaluronate3 and of the oligosaccharide fractions obtained on digestion with testicular hyaluronidase2 as demonstrated in Table 1. Notes: Abstract There are three possibilities for the introduction of angular momentum eigenfunctions in the vector-meson-theory: 1. Multipole fields, 2. orbital angular momentum eigenfunctions, 3. helicity eigenfunctions. We shall define these functions by eigenvalue equations and present their mutual relationship. In analogy to the usual momentum quantization we may quantize the field with respect to each of the three systems of angular momentum eigenfunctions.
