Summary The article deals with the results obtained by the study of the earth current-variations recorded in the Observatory near Nagycenk of the Geophysical Research Laboratory of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. The variations with periods of 1 sec-1 hr were divided into the following seven bands: 1) I. band of nighttime-pulsations (with periods of 1–10 sec), 2) Storm-pulsations (10–20 sec), 3) Daytime-pulsations (20–60 sec), 4) II. band of nighttime-pulsations (1–2 min), 5) I. band of primary variations (2–6 min), 6) Secondary variations (6–24 min), 7) II. band of primary variations (24–60 min). The behaviour, the forms, the daily and yearly changes of the frequency of the single bands are, even as the changes of the ratios between the amplitudes in the N-and E-components, discussed.

Zusammenfassung Diese Arbeit untersucht die Erdstromvariationen mit verschiedenen Perioden, die durch das Geophysikalische Forschungslaboratorium der Ungarischen Akademie der Wissenschaften beobachtet werden. Der Frequenzbereicht mit Perioden von 1 sec bis zu einer Stunde wurde in folgenden sieben Bändern aufgeteilt: 1) Nächtliche Pusationen I. Band mit Perioden von 1–10 sec, 2) Sturm-Pulsationen mit Perioden von 10–20 sec, 3) Tagespulsationen mit Perioden von 20–60 sec, 4) Nächtliche Pulsationen II. Band mit Perioden von 1–2 min, 5) Erstes primäres Band mit Perioden von 2–6 min, 6) Sekundäres Band mit Perioden von 6–24 min, 7) Zweites primäres Band mit Perioden von 24–60 min. Es werden das Verhalten, die Erscheinungsformen, die jährlichen und täglichen Verteilungen der Häufigkeiten und auch die Verhältnisse der mittleren Amplituden in den Nord- und Ostkomponenten der einzelnen Bänder geprüft.
